This summer, our Farmers Market held a large event to celebrate our 50th year in business. I contacted Rent E Vent a few weeks prior to the event and met Joelee, the business owner at our location to map out where we needed a tent. She was very courteous, knowledgeable and helpful. She took care of contacting the property owner and One Call, the company that locates underground power lines to avoid problems when setting up the 30'x40' tent. They also had no problem when I called at the last minute to order a generator and additional tables. Cassidy, in the office, was also extremely helpful, even after hours and on her day off! Everything was perfect, tent was just right as I went with Joelee's recommendation for size and the generator worked well and was filled with gas ( which I did not have to refill when we returned it!). I had sent a message via Yelp to Rent-E-Vent, Inc on Friday (yesterday) after searching for a business to deliver tables and chairs to our location in Deposit, NY where we are prepping to film. I ended up getting a delivery set up with another company close by, but I did receive a very courteous and professional call from Rent-E-Vent today. Our filming location is about an hour from them but I felt very confident that helping me get what I needed was a top priority. I don't think I have ever taken the time to write a review for a business I did not end up using, but when we go to order additional rental items in the next couple weeks, I will give a close look to Rent-E-Vent on their website which is one of the better ones I have seen in this entire area. 5 stars. read more

I sponsored a church picnic and was referred to Rent-E-Vent. All I rented was a 30' water slide for kids, a cotton candy machine, and a sno cone machine. They were to deliver it, at an echo RBI tang price (but sadly I did agree to it so my problem there). BUT, they were supposed to deliver it Friday as the picnic was Sunday after services. Sadly on Saturday when I arrived at the property, there was nothing there. When I inquired with the owner they did apologize and were very nice and assured me it would be there by 9:00 as services were at 10:45 and I needed to make sure it was set up before going to church. Sadly again no show and now when I called, I was asked to text pictures of where I wanted it set up as they were "running late". (Note: we are less than 30 minutes from this business). Now when I arrive after services it was there, BUT no supplies for cotton candy or sno cone. So we now have two machines that can't be used. And the party is just begun right after church services. Not only with this business not taking responsibility for asking the customer if they wanted to order the supplies if they didn't come with the machines (note: last year vendor supplied flavored sugar and sugar syrup as part of rental but apparently this company says you have to order it separately) but when I spoke to the owner I was told I should have gone online to order supplies. Helpful...NOT. If you do rent from this business, be the expert before you call them and know EXACTLY what you need as they certainly don't care. It's obviously a part-time business which is why they push you to do everything online so they only have to arrange to meet you at the warehouse to pick up your supplies. The high delivery charges make it clear they're not interested in actually working the business. It's obvious why they discourage customer interaction, they not learned what customer service is. read more

Nothing makes me happier than a vendor that does exactly what they say they will and when. So hats off to this local company that treated us like we were long lost cousins We needed a tent for a celebration of life for my mom and was worried that the weather might not hold up. We reached out to the team at rent a vent and they had a proposal back to us in minutes. They told us what time they would be there and you could have set your watch!! Set up team was efficient courteous and knowledgable as to the best way to set up. Highly recommend this business read more
