We discussed a few options. One being an aluminum frame. After pricing the job out, Dubs decided to replace the wood and not use aluminum because of price, so with the customer in mind, he chose to not use the aluminum because the material price has skyrocket like everything else. In my mind, what does he care, I would be paying for it but no, He chose to save me money!!!! So awesome. He told me he would do the primer and then paint after it had dried, which I was just thinking, primer one day, then come back and paint. When I came home last night, it looked like I had pulled into the wrong driveway, the update was PERFECT. I thought , wow, how did he get that done so fast?!! When I spoke to him today, he said he was able to prime and get one light coat of paint on. I told him it looked perfect and could actually leave as is. He insisted he was going to do another coat. So , while I knew prior to this second job at my house, this job really confirms the pride he takes in his work. It's sad that I am shocked to find someone that takes pride in their work but WOW!!!! I feel like when he's done with my house, it's going to look brand new. Also another thing that I was highly impressed with is that he asked me of I minded if he had helped someone else with a project while he was still doing mine. Of course I do not mind at all, this guy deserves to make money when it's available. And in no way has him helping someone else impacted what he was doing for me. Dubs knows exactly what he is doing, and his time management skills ( which I don't think I mentioned in my first review) are spot on ( not usual for a man, haha, joking!!) If you hire him, you will not be disappointed and I'm almost positive you will be rushing to give him a 5 star review as well as recommendations to friends and family. You will of found "your guy" . The scope of the project was a planned remodeling of my master bedroom and master retreat which included new flooring throughout, new lighting fixtures, painting, and installation of a new electric linear fireplace. I was impressed by Sam on our initial phone communications- he was extremely professional and offered many suggestions that we ultimately included in the final project. After we signed the contract, he started work on the exact day that he had promised, and he and his team worked every day until it was completed. They actually finished a bit earlier than stated on the contract! Each of Sam's workers were very respectful of my property, and always left the work area very clean. Throughout the process, Sam showed a particular attention to detail that I truly appreciated. He has a good eye for color, and helped me to pick out colors for my walls, flooring and fireplace tile that really complement each other. Sam and his team constructed a wall length framing for the fireplace that truly exceeded my expectations. The finished product is simply breathtaking! Sam and his team will be returning after the holidays for the 2nd phase of the project, which will transform the master retreat into a custom designed walk in closet.
