It all sounded great until NO WORK was ever started nor completed. Delay, delay, and a lack of communication from the business Owner Ron. After waiting and waiting for weeks on end for someone to actually show up, I had to cancel the project for one week, then exactly one week later gave Ron the to approval to restart the project May 7th. Only to be told by Ron that due to the one week pause they signed up 4-5 other projects which sprung ahead of my project, resulting in more delays and more lack of communication. After waiting several weeks, I went to there office to express my concerns which fell on deaf ears with Rick the office manager. Finally I received a text from Ron on June 2nd stating we are "in queue" and should start next week. After several more weeks of no communication, now June 15th still No Show, No Workers, No Communication. Now mid - late July still No Show and No Communication. I finally had enough their excuses , a broken foot, Ron's out of town, they wrecked their van, etc. I finally said enough is enough and cancelled the contract and asked for my Deposit back. Then I got a letter from Ron's attorney stating they will no be returning my deposit!!! Over $8400+ wasted with Ron and Inlet Custom Builders!!! No work ever started. No worker ever stepped foot on to the property to actually start working, absolutely nothing done. BUYER BEWARE AND DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH INLET CUSTOM BUILDERS.

It began to leak and the crooks wouldn't take responsibility, they refused to answer my calls, then moved. Enough of them. After being in this situation, I found it difficult to find a reputable contractor to make the repairs. I contacted Home Advisor, who referred me to Contract Exteriors. They sent a Roofing Inspector come to my home to evaluate the damages, but first, the cause. He found pounds of nails on my roof and that the crooks had skip nailed it. There was no installation kits around my skylights. No wonder I had interior leaks. Randy sent his men to the rescue. The Roof Inspector was so appalled by what he saw, he came back with his men and they removed and replaced the roof vent and tiles. He ordered installation kits for the skylights and installed them. He checked the exterior and attic, as well as the interior, to make sure there would be no leaks. Randy sent John, the manager in charge of the interior repairs. John called and told me he wanted to wait a few weeks to see if there are any leaks. We had a rain deluge and John came over to inspect if there were any further damage. He had his men come to my home, and make the repairs. All in all the whole project was done in less than 4 weeks. In that time, I had the opportunity to speak to the office manager, who was so kind and helpful. I wanted to thank this office in person for all they had done for me. They felt bad that I was left in this situation and were right there for me. I spoke to Randy himself, and told him that I would be pursuing litigation against the crooks. I felt like Randy was my big brother, with his protective arm around me. He told me not to worry about them, and provided me with paperwork I needed to pursue my case. Very few contractors are willing to pick up after a disaster like mine, I just wish I used Contract Exteriors first!! *:·-:¦Totally*:·-:¦:-**:·-:¦:-*Awesome*:·-:¦:-*Fabulous*·-:¦:-·:*Wow*:·-:¦:-*

We are now living in our dream home!…read more I've been a local Myrtle Beach Realtor for over 35 years. During my tenor I've seen A LOT of builders and personally sold numerous newly constructed homes. Though there are some real quality builders in our area, long before we put the first shovel in the ground, Peggy and I had already decided who was going to build our custom home. The Carrell Group! We could not be happier. Building can be an overwhelming process that Bruce and his team couldn't have made easier for us. From the design team, to our dedicated "building partner" who made all appointments and kept meticulous notes (OMG...she was fabulous!), to our project manager, to the punch work team that handled the after closing "this and that's"...they all did and outstanding job. All that said, the most impressive aspect was the true quality of the home. Beautifully, beautifully built. Even Bruce's "standard" details are unmatched compared to other builders. The finish work is unparalleled. We bring friends into our home that are just blown away by Carrell Homes design and quality. My wife is a retired interior designer. I'm a real estate professional. Our careers are all centered around homes. With those two backgrounds, and now owning a Carrell Home, we both strongly recommend you using the Carrell Group to build your dream like they built ours!

Bruce Carrell and his team saw the damage and assured us it would be cleaned. After trying pressure washing they used a mixture of muriatic acid. Bruce Carrell tries to tell us damage to grill hood caused by ocean breeze. I laugh because this only anppeared after the cleaning with muriatic acid. His offer now is to remove the pavers and we replace at our cost or he will seal the damaged pavers and we should be satisfied. We paid a lot for a new custom house. It is not at all what we got. the fence railing and gate have fallen. These are only a few of the items we are upset about.
