Dr. Zee is without a doubt the best Dentist I've ever had!!!…read more Over the last 3 years, I've visited Dr. Zee at both his old clinic on 17th and his new 'state-of-the-art' facility in SE Calgary. During this time, I've had Dr. Zee and his staff take care of my: teeth cleaning, whitening, fillings and a most recently, a crown-replacement. When Dr. Zee moved to his new office, I didn't hesitate to make the longer drive to visit him. He's worth the extra time! There are several reasons Dr. Zee stands above the rest: - He is extremely upbeat, friendly and personable (his staff are always happy as well) - He is the best "freezer" I've ever had! You barely feel the needle, he doesn't over-freeze and I've never experienced any pain while he's working on me - He is both extremely skilled and efficient - His new office is beautiful and he's invested in state-of-the-art equipment (he clearly wants to run one of the best dental practices in Calgary) I recently went to Dr. Zee's new office for a crown replacement (my old one needed to be replaced). WOW is all I can say! He has this new machine that makes your crown on-site, within the same day/visit. Normally, you need to make 2 trips to the dentist for a crown. Not with Dr. Zee!!! He had it done within one visit and not only that, the crown fits a million times better. He uses a 3D digital scanner which then sends your image to a 3D crown "printer/carver" that sits within his office. I got to watch my tooth/crown being made right after Dr. Zee finished my 3D scan. All of the issues related to my old crown have disappeared, thanks to both Dr. Zee's skill and his fancy new dental equipment. Thanks for everything Dr. Zee. I will continue to recommend my family, friends and colleagues. Hopefully this review sends a few more clients your way as well, you deserve it!

The front end staff is friendly, efficient and competent. In the chair I was cold and was offered a blanket, some water, and the dental chair gives a relaxing massage with they work on your teeth. In the Alberta where dental fees are not regulated and we pay the highest dental fee in the country, all I ask is that we get treated right at the appointment and not be a waste of my time. The appointments were on-time and I felt like my business was valued there. Also, booking the appointment, they try to fit you in within a reasonable time frame. And then taking the only appointment that they had available this month. The service here is impeccable. The receptionist was professional and friendly, and the dentist goes through a series of background questions first about you and your overall health before the exam. The hygienist probably has one of the least popular jobs there but explained a lot of things related to teeth and gum health that I never thought about before, that were really interesting. She also used this numbing paste on my gums to help reduce the pain, and offered me Advil afterwards if I needed it for pain management. I also left with some free toothbrushes, rinse, floss and a lip balm (made of all natural ingredients). So why 4 stars and not 5? It was damn expensive. Or at least, in my opinion. I've been a regular dentist visitor in my adult life and never seen a bill over $200 or $300 before, and at the end of my visit I was presented with a bill for $600 for the exam, two x-rays and an hour of intensive cleaning. Not only were they able to accommodate a date switch due to an initial insurance coverage issue for me, but for someone who has a slight phobia of dental offices (and as such, has not been there in many years), they were also able to make me feel welcome and at ease throughout the process. Doctor Van Blaricom and his assistant, Wendy, were thorough and friendly, and great at explaining the reasons why they were doing and checking what they were. In addition, there was no judgement at all from either one as to my long stretch between visits, their main concern was to get me back on track, fixing the minor issues that were present. After a few suggestions for at-home dental care, I was easily booked into the next few appointments, all within the next few weeks. I was well attended to, everyone was extremely nice and approachable, and my hesitation for going to the dentist is gone! The ideal patient I am not, having experienced the cruelty and ridicule of certain dental professionals. At Beltline Dental Care I have a new lease on teeth. The entire staff is kind, caring and attentive. Shelina always makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. She does an excellent job and is always careful and gentle and non-intimidating. Dr. Lee is funny, kind and gentle as well. He is honest, non-judgmental and has a remarkable bedside manner.
