It seems to be as close to a flying like a bird as one can get. I thought it was worth the money and Paul is very professional and was patient answering my novice questions. I am seriously thinking about getting one and having Paul teach me how to fly it.

As a 1,400 hr. private pilot, I went to him in April 2017 to complete my biannual flight review as well as to gain some experience with a modern EFIS-equipped cockpit and to understand the Sport Pilot rating requirements on behalf of my neighbor who wants to re-start his work towards an eventual aviation career after having stopped his training elsewhere after four lessons. Paul's knowledge extends far beyond the Sport Pilot certificate -- he has in-depth knowledge of all categories of airplane ratings and operations. But, most-importantly, he impressed me as one of the 5% or so of flight instructors who had developed a solid method of teaching and who adheres to that proven method and style. 95% of flight instructors have no problem aviating, but they seem to struggle with teaching techniques. Paul is excellent at teaching in my estimation. Flying the Light Sport Aircraft (LSA) is a very economical way of building hours, or, like I needed, getting familiar with the modern electronic flight deck. His aircraft are Garmin-equipped, so the interface will be familiar to those who have older, non-EFIS-equipped panels and who are thinking of upgrading. Some time in the not too distant future, I can foresee the support infrastructure for analog instruments falling apart, so those of use who own aircraft need to get ready for the day. Congratulations, Paul for a great day flying. My two-hour BFR lasted 3.5 hours because I was so comfortable with Paul.

Would I recommend this place to friend? Not likely, not likely at all! Didn't even get off the…read moreground After bad experiences with a previous flight school, Brian assured me the same things wouldn't happen here. (He said he also had students switch to him from my previous school for same the reasons.) Brian was a great salesman....sold me $175 dollars worth of books as he said my materials wouldn't cut it from the other school. On the 1st flight lesson I showed up prepared and excited to move forward in my progression towards my license only to show up to an instructor (Matt who I had previously met multiple times and told my story to more than once) who doesn't know who I am, acts like he has no idea that I'm not a brand new student pilot (already had 16 hrs), and tells me I'm flying the warrior.....after telling him I'm supposed to be flying the 172 as I already have 16 hrs in one and I'm ready to solo he tells me I can't, because it's broken...Been broken for days.. Brian knew I was flying the 172 and he set this all up for me so I am perplexed why he didn't tell any of my story to Matt and did not notify me ahead of time that the plane was broken (as he said he would). I told Matt I wasn't happy with the scenario (I was never rude) and I wasn't flying that day. I was willing to give them another chance, but Brian quit answering or returning my calls and messages and is not willing to deal with the situation. Confrontation is a part of business!! If you are are going for more than a ppl I would suggest learning outside of Northern Nevada!!

I did some research on the local aviation schools and found Carson aviation adventures. I had a loan ready to go in order to fund my new venture. I contacted them multiple times on their website as well as their FB page in order to set up a discovery flight to see how I liked the school. I was ignored by them when I emailed them. When I messaged them on Facebook they read my message and didn't respond. I had to message them again a couple days later to which they told me they were really busy but asked if I was interested in the flight school. I advised them I was interested in the flight school. They read the message and didn't write me back. I waited another 2 days and still no response. I wrote them again and said I guess I will be looking at other organizations to find my flight training. They read this message and still didn't respond. I won't waste my time or money on a place that doesn't have the time to write back a single message or give me the opportunity to do a discovery flight they clearly advertise on their website.
