I recommend if you need psychological services you stay away from this business. I meet with…read moreSheila, as I wanted her to check in with our pre-teen son, she requested she meet with me, my spouse and us together before even meeting with our son. EVERY TIME we meet with her she was 20 minutes late, then we did NOT even get our full appointment time. On top of that each time we meet with her, she didn't recall who we were, why we were there and asked the same questions each time. By the time it was my son's turn to talk to her, she again, didn't know why she was talking with him. She never discussed any concerns we had; she prodded him why his parents wouldn't let him have a phone, something we discussed with her that was an off topic. After we quit coming because she was NOT helping, the neither office nor Sheila bothered to call and check in. Sheila simply milked the insurance system, she is a fraud and so is this company. Keep looking; you won't get the services you are hoping here. HORRIBLE! If I could I would have disputed every charge with my insurance company.

Don't see Kevin Klar…read more Over the phone, they asked me what I wanted to talk to a consoler about, and one of the topics was speaking with someone who could give me medication or at least discuss if its a right fit for me. The person on the phone recommends Kevin Klar to me, but I later find out that he is unable to do either of those things. Klar himself was useless in discussing my mental health. I saw him six or seven times and he spent 90% of it talking, rather than asking questions. Most of the time he wanted to talk about himself or philosophy (as we both enjoy the subject), but when it came to discussing my depression and anxiety he seemed uninterested. There were a few instances where I had to tell him to stop getting sidetracked, which should not be my responsibility. Lastly, I know he won't admit it, but I swear he tried converting me to Christianity, which I found extremely disrespectful. I try to see the best in people, and he seems like a nice guy, but he is not qualified to be a counselor (or a philosopher).

I literally cannot believe I am the first to review this amazing Doc…read more I got a referral form another great ND in town (as I prefer a female doctor as a PCP), and I lucked out big time, considering I moved from Naturopathic/Holistic MD Mecca. She is so thorough and compassionate. She is comprehensive on a variety of health issues and is not pushy with diets or extreme "woo-woo medicine", as a lot of folks lump ND's in with. She is grounded and full of a great arsenal of supplements and treatment plans. She is always quick in her patient health portal responses when I have a question regarding my health or lab work - so I am never unnecessarily coming in for an appointment. She is just super, honestly. One of the best doctors I've had the pleasure of being a patient of.

Nope. I do not recommend this therapist. She made a lot of assumptions, interrupted instead of…read morelistening, and made up her mind on how things should go rather than being open to other ideas. I was in marriage counseling, and she requested to see my husband and I separately and then essentially pit the two of us against each other. She made assumptions about my weight and body type and brought them up (unprompted!) in our session. Keep in mind, this was virtual therapy, and all she could see was my face. Nevertheless, that is so incredibly inappropriate. I looked into reporting her to her certifying body, but (not surprisingly) none of this information (you know...her qualifications) could be found on her website, which was unbelievably out-of-date and no longer had accurate information. Most of the sessions were her talking AT me/us (my husband and I), not listening. She came across as incredibly unprepared and didn't remember what was discussed in previous sessions. Every session seemed like a re-hash of the same stuff because she couldn't bother to review her notes beforehand. I basically cancelled all appointments and ghosted her. She is manipulative, unprofessional and did not not care about me - that's for sure. One more thing that I feel is relevant, though not the reason for my negative review: she does not live in WA state. If you found her via a search engine and are hoping for in person therapy, you will not get it.

The beauty of therapy is that we can see different kinds of therapists. She was not the type for…read moreme, but she might be for you! Laura fell asleep in several of our meetings. It was awkward because she would apologize to me at the next meeting saying she had fallen asleep on another client... etc etc... it felt like some sort of gaslighting like she was apologizing because she knew it was me, but didn't want to admit it. I wanted to talk about my past traumas and what I had experienced. How can she help me if she has no idea what has happened to me? Most of her sessions were guided by her (she speaks 80% of the time), but did not allow me to speak very much. I never really felt like I could express myself and I think for her, that wasn't the point. Like I said, this might work for you, but it didn't work for me. I always felt like she didn't care to hear me... and I don't just mean my story, but I felt like she didn't care to "hear" me and really hear my feelings, who I am and how I have come to be. I always believed she just talked so that she didn't fall asleep... I really needed to talk about the trauma I had experienced and how I felt scared. Did I need to call the police? Will this partner hurt other people? How scared should I be? Should I move? Should I change my locks? This was not an option with her... with her often saying "you're not ready" and refusing to move on to new subjects/asking me to pay more money for more sessions when she knew I didn't have it. When I talked too much about my experience she would would tune me out. I was never able to talk about how my partner talked about killing me and how I felt scared. I could never talk about the numerous threats that happened, she didn't want to hear this. She is the kind of person where you could walk in and say "I am a gay" and she would never want to hear your story, she'd never want to know about your traumas, never hear what has hurt you, never hear about your family/friends/relationships, she just wants to say ok, moving forward this is what I want you to do... Her guidance is largely spiritually based on her own beliefs... there is no room for you to talk, only feel. When I told her I could not pay weekly because I couldn't afford it, she said "I have bills too" and told me I had to come in anyway. She wasn't even willing to see me every other week. She also had no problem telling me what my weaknesses were. Most sessions were spent with her explaining why particular things in my life had happened to me and that most of them were my fault. There is no space for empathy here... if you want to talk about your story and have someone say I'm sorry this happened, this is how you move on... this is not the person. Laura is more... I don't care what happened and if you tell me I'm going to tell you why it's your fault and then we'll move on in the way that makes sense to me and maybe not to you.. If you want someone who will assume you've had some kind of trauma and just moves passed it without allowing you to talk about it, she is the one for you.
