Meatballs, Ragnar's

My favorite mid-mountain lodge. I like the glass gazebo bar; there's a cool Scandinavian bar, Ragnar's downstairs, and food court upstairs.

A great place to chill for lunch or after a good day of shredding pow! A great selection of food options. But this place can get super busy Friday-Sunday so try to hit this place on the "off" hours (I.e. 1100, and 2:00) if you want to beat the crowds. There's a bar area with tv's and a seating area that fills up fast during peak times. Enjoy watching people hitting the slopes, while you eat, while your sitting outside! On a beautiful bluebird day, the outdoor seating is a must!!! There are bathrooms available, and fireplace you can warm up next to. So take a break, grab a libation and a delicious plate of food and chill by the fireplace

(3.5) very okay. Even after skiing all day. It was not amazing and the prices are what you would except for a mountain. If only it was amazing so we did not have to eat at the bottom of the mountain all the time! Maybe next year.

It was my first time in Steamboat and wow this hotel and their staff (including the honorary hotel…read moredog, Whiskey) made my visit that much better! PARKING - Open log surrounding the hotel. They take your license plates at check-in to make sure. ROOMS/AMBIANCE - The Yelp photos seemed to have been dated, so when I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. It now has a modern feel to it and it looks a lot better! I was told They recently went through a 4-year renovation and it panned out! The rooms were very clean and have plenty outlets. No complaints! STORAGE ROOMS - They have 1 large open room to store your snow gear (boards and/or skis). They also have closed storage rooms scattered throughout that require a staff member to open with their key. Very convenient AMENITIES - Can't speak much on this as we didn't use their pool. We came in on President's Day weekend so it just had a storm and was really pouring with the powdery snow. They do have luggage carts at entrances for you to use when bringing stuff from your car. They also have free coffee, tea, and apple cider at the lobby. SHUTTLED - They have a designated shuttle that only goes to and from the hotel and mountain ski village from around 8am to 4/5pm. If you need to go anywhere else, the town has free buses and the staff could probably assist in finding you a separate shuttle company you can hire to take you somewhere. STAFF/SERVICE - This is where the 5 stars alone would go to! Tammy, Garrett, Chris, and Keenan were great! Tammy at front desk and shuttle driver Garrett were the top-notch and the friendliest people. Their service was beyond service. They are super sweet, professional, and just good people to their core. They also have a hotel dog, Whiskey, who roams the lobby when brought in and loves to play catch. I found myself not going to my room and just getting caught up spending time talking to Tammy and playing with Whiskey. Tammy Garrett, and Whiskey made me sad I was leaving Steamboat and miss them a lot. The housekeeping staff were also friendly! I'd walk the halls and almost every single one would smile and greet me. So yes, I highly recommend this hotel for its convenience, cleanliness, and amazing staff.

My girlfriends and I had a lovely stay at the Inn at Steamboat this past weekend. The staff here…read morego above and beyond to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. The common areas, especially the lobby with the stone fireplace, are super cozy and clean; we actually spent a few of our post ski afternoons hanging out by the fire drinking the coffee and munching on the delicious chocolate chip cookies provided at the coffee station. One complaint here is that the staff lounge is right off the lobby and while we were sitting there we very clearly heard a staff member getting reprimanded which was pretty awkward. JJ at the front desk made sure we had everything we needed including extra robes, towels for the hot springs, and some dining suggestions. As many people have mentioned, the included breakfast is very solid; definitely hearty enough to fuel us up for a day on the slopes. The room itself is quaint but comfortable. The towels are dense and fluffy and the attention to eco-friendly details is great to see- love the little bag for bringing home the handmade soaps! Our biggest complaint about the rooms is that the beds, while comfy, were very wobbly. We had 4 people, so two to a queen, but it was hard to sleep when you could feel every toss and turn of the other person in bed. Lastly, the shuttle service is EXCELLENT! Always on time at the designated pickup spots and great for getting to the mountain and downtown. Bob had some good jokes for us during our rides. Overall, a very pleasant and comfortable stay with homey touches at an unbeatable price.

It is also really close to all the shops and offer shuttle rides as well. They also offer locally crafted soaps and shampoos for use in the rooms. I visited just after Xmas and they really took care and effort to decorate - really well done. If you don't need fancy, this is a great place to stay.

A good hotel to stay at in downtown Steamboat. The best part about this hotel is its location and…read moreconvenience. Great to be walking distance from all of the shops and restaurants downtown. There was free parking available, and could have driven anywhere in the area within a couple of minutes including the resort. It was also steps away from a free bus route that took you right to the ski base area. It was way less walking to use the bus from this hotel to get to the gondola, than it would have been from a parking lot. And took the same amount of time with no parking cost. There was also a joint ski storage room here which was very convenient. Outside of that, some of the other reviews hold true - it was definitely a slightly dated hotel. The rooms are small but not that small, and it wasn't a big deal. But the bathrooms and shower were definitely tight, and a little makeshift with the shower curtains. The walls were thin and I could hear anything going on in the hallway or neighbors rooms. Used radiator heating, and was woken up by popping from this outside of my room on both nights. The hot tub was nice but also wasn't very hot with no way to adjust, and there were a few flies, and the TV in that common area wasn't connected. Overall it was a fine place to stay. It is an old hotel and one of those places that if you just need a place to stay while enjoying the mountains is fine, but if you look too closely at some of the fine details will probably find more and more that isn't perfect. I would stay here again no problem. I would just wish it was either $100 less, or a little bit more updated for the price.

This place is cute but could really use some sprucing up. Rooms are small, which is fine, but chips…read moreout of the paint, weather stripping coming off doors, dingy light switches, etc. I think they are asking just a bit too much for a rundown boutique hotel. The staff was excellent.
