I recently purchased a car from Renaldo. My review is about the "sales" department. It's not a review of the "service" department. I came in to Renaldo to look at a new car. And I left having purchased a new vehicle. I worked closely with Matt, who was a very good salesperson. He was knowledgeable about the vehicles on the lot and shared very important details about each car ranging from its engine capacities to its technological components. Overall, my experience at Renaldo was very good. I'd highly recommend checking them out. Let them know Donnell sent you! read more

Best in the business! I referred a personal friend, and she test drove and purchased in less than 45 minutes. She told me that the new ownership is called Shelby Honda. Her comments...Best place to buy a Honda!!! read more

Service department front man was courteous and tolerant (of my angry attitude), but were less than up-front on the costs. I went in for an oil change with my very high mileage van and they suggested a new engine and cabin air filter. Knowing approximately what such a combo would cost at the local parts store, and having had experience with this dealership previously with both the old and new owners, figured that it couldn't be too expensive. My under $40 oil change ran up to $150 with 2 air filters replaced. Frontman was nice enough to take 10% off. Probably all he was allowed to do. That they charge like that for air filters w/labor is regrettable, but not having told me up front that it would add $100 to my overall bill was unconscionable. Not asking was on me, hence the 2 stars. Not warning me like other dealerships have for me in the past is on them. I will not return for anything. It is the little things that I remember when considering larger purchases. Be careful with the front men in this dealership. The service technicians are top notch in my experience though! read more

My impression is these guys have a pretty solid dealership, but I don't know how many cars they sell. It's kind of hard to develop that impression, as the few times I've been there, it hasn't been very busy. At two points in time during the past two years I almost purchased a new vehicle from them. I was unimpressed with the offering prices of their used and was looking at purchasing new. I have looked at the CRVs and Civics for myself and the Pilot just last year for my wife. Mark is one of their better salesmen and is super patient. Another gentleman I worked with, partly via text, one day just no longer worked there - and by the sound of it, possibly had been fired. Love the Honda brand - their new vehicles are very easy on the eyes. The new Pilot is amazing and has a tone of room - you can even sit in the third row and not feel claustrophobic or smashed. In the end it came down to cost - the Toyotas I ended up getting were just better deals (more wiggle room on price) and came with free maintenance/service for 4 years. I also managed to avoid their hefty Dealer Administration fee by going to South Carolina to purchase a vehicle. Renaldo also tacks on some extra fees/treatments once the car hits the dealership which can run $1000-2000 (just look at the sticker price), but I think you can decline those extras. Not a bad place to buy a car and you can't go wrong with a Honda! Looks like they just remodeled the Honda side too! read more

Bought a 2016 Fit from them, whenever I've gone for service, they constantly are forcing upsell on you for work you don't need done. Now, for three straight weeks, I've gotten three separate phone calls trying to get me to trade, after the first call when I made it clear that I don't want to trade. Do yourself a favor and go to a reliable dealership in Gastonia or Charlotte. read more

Service department is terrible. Will NEVER take my vehicle back or recommend to anyone. Took my car in for check engine light issue and when we picked it up 3 weeks later, because they couldn't figure it, out my CAR WOULD NOT start. Mechanic that was working on it told my husband "I think I broke it, it'll have to be towed". Never offered an explanation and when I called and spoke to the service manager she said she didn't know anything about it.( My car had been there 3 weeks, but she did't know anything). She was going to investigate and give me a call back, she couldn't even be bothered to do that! Still haven't heard from anyone. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THEM AGAIN OR RECOMMEND TO ANYONE FOR ANY REASON read more

Great friendly staff. However, they use this tactic to get your money. They overcharge for everything. I went in for my car to be serviced (i.e. oil change, tire rotation) and ended up paying 4 times the norm...someone's rent. There's no way that I should've paid that much especially when my car is faithfully serviced. Def my first AND last time going to Renaldo. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Excellent service . they told me what time my vehicle would be ready and it was right on time as promised. They even went out of their way to get me a loaner car. read more

These people are THE BEST!!! Don't listen to any negatives you may have heard about this dealership, people are referring to the former management & staff. There's a whole new crew & they will absolutely take the best care of you. Juliah is a terrific salesperson. She's very helpful & quite knowledgeable but not aggressive at all. Scott is terrific!! He really worked hard to get the best deal for me. They didn't have the exact color in the trim that I wanted but they were able to have it there by the next morning. I would recommend Renaldo to anyone in need of a vehicle! read more

Make sure you mark your tires before a tire rotation. Paid for rotation and did not get, had to go back to have it done. Dealership not very helpful with warranty. Was advised to carry my Honda to a Chevrolet dealership for warranty from Service Manager. When you purchase a brand new car you expect the Dealership to stand by you. read more

I got stranded with some transmission issues on my Honda. These guys were super sweet and fit me in to fix my car up in a jiffy! They've got tasty coffe & snacks to boot! Thanks, guys. read more

Great experience, great staff, highly recommend this dealership. All of he staff made us feel like they wanted our business. Very happy with our new accord. read more

Gage was great. However, I was disappointed that I was refused wind guards for my windows. It was a small ask, and the ones on the car I was trading were new (in addition to a new battery and new tires). Also, my new car was supposed to be detailed. The inside of my windshield was so dirty, I had to stop on the way home and clean it. There is no way the inside windows were cleaned. I love the car; however, this was my third time with Renaldo, and I expected better. I'm not sure I'll return again. read more

Came by your dealership about 1:30 pm on Saturday just to look around your dealership. Thinking about a Honda Fit to drive to work and back. Stopped and got out and was reluctantly greeted by a young lady who ask me what I was looking for. I explained I was looking at the fit and she told me where they were without offering to walk out in sunshine to show me one. I ask about a used one and was she didn't know and would have to go inside to find out, without offering to. There was another salesman who came out to look at the black truck sitting there and she ask him what he thought it might be. Admittingly I was not dressed up and looking like I was going to purchase right away, but that is no reason to be treated like I was. I may buy a Honda but it won't be from you folks. Went over to the Kia dealer and was greeted by Brandon Banks, a very nice and helpful individual. read more

Had a good experience with Salesperson Mark. Everything was fine until I went into the finance managers office. There he manipulated the numbers and made it look like I was getting Gap Insurance for free, when in fact he had inflated numbers before I came into office. So beware of this tactic when you go to this dealership! I called back but nothing was done about it. They seem to all know what goes on but won't help. Might want to check out another dealership other than this one. Scott Clark is good, but was little bit too far for me to travel! read more

I was very impressed. Had been going to a large dealership in Concord, North Carolina where I was treated as a mere number. Will switch to this dealership for sure. After buying nothing but Hondas for 28 years, I have dealt with many dealerships, but this one stands out as being superb. I have a 2015 Honda and just bought a 2016 Civic for my daughter and this was the best buying experience ever. Thanks Steve & Brandon. Brandon, the finance manager is awesome and Steve one of the managers has gone out of his way to make sure we were satisfied. Thanks you guys! Great job! read more
