I had a hole in my face at least the size of a quarter for a week, while waiting to hear whether or not all of the cancer had been removed. Dr. Checcone's staff was very polite, efficient, and attentive. Dr. Checcone evaluated the opening during a consult and then performed the surgery the next day. He is a talented plastic surgeon who did an outstanding job. He took a round hole and turned it into a longer scar which he moved closer to my jaw line so that it would appear more natural. It has healed very well and people who have seen the before and after can't believe it. He even managed to save my beard by ensuring the scar didn't interfere too much with the natural hair growth! The corner incisions of my lip now takes on a more downward appearance as the corners are oval shaped with no natural tapering and just dead stop. No natural ending. I spent around $20,000, maybe more but I don't think I look any better in-fact worse. More time should have been spent with me. I only saw the doctor for my initial consult and Never again until surgery. When I asked the administrator she said I didn't need to meet with him and he would see me the day of surgery. I should have spoken up but I didn't. Sorry to say I would not recommend this practice. Maybe it was an off day but I didn't feel well cared for. Dr. Agarwal did see me post surgery to make a correction of a residual vertical lip line and I did appreciate that.
