To be fair and upfront, this review has nothing to do with any work that was performed; because we did not choose remodel after seeing the quote. It has everything to do with the experience with the sales person. Mike showed up a few minutes after the scheduled time which is fine, living in the NOVA area there's traffic so its understandable they could be late. He seemed fine came in looked around asked us a bunch of questions about the house, what renovations we have done, did we plan on staying here a long time etc. The problem here is he talked about us and our house for 30 mins then went to measure our bath tub/shower. It was around our dinner time and we had ordered food, when the food came we asked if he would mind stepping out to allow us to eat and he was fine with that. My wife and I talked and we have been through sales like this before. They bring their bags of samples, give a presentation of their company and Kohler (we were looking at the Kohler LuxStone shower) and it has always been way over priced. With that after we finished eating, we went outside and I explained to him that we've gone through pitches like this in the past and from experience it's always way more expensive than it should be. To save himself trouble and time, and to save us the rest of the night I asked him to "spitball" a rough price for the most basic model, if it was over our budget he could go ahead and go. He insisted that he didn't know what that would be and he HAD to give his presentation. Mind you, he said he was a general manager I would assume he would have a rough figure, he only said it would be more than 5k less than 20k. 5-7k was our budget so we told him let's skip all the fluff, let's talk numbers. So he got there at 6:05pm 2-1/2 hours later we FINALLY see the numbers. During the time after dinner, and him "building our order" my wife was falling asleep at the table and I was watching TV. We see the number $16,000 to replace a bath to stand up shower. I told him that's a hard no for us. He said he wouldn't "twist our arms" earlier that evening, but as expected he tried. We spent less than that on needs, I.e a new roof and windows combined and they were NEEDS and functional. We replaced our HVAC units and the price was similar to his shower. Explained that shower was a want, we didn't need it. He went on to say how they had all these great reviews everywhere, and I had said I seen some, he literally turned around put his hands on the table in a pretty aggressive manner and asked "what did you see" I told him they were decent reviews but the price was a sticking point for us, and it was still a hard no. He asked what price did we think and we told him, he said good luck. He asked what we paid for our roof, and said there's would be 3 times that amount. Long story short they are over priced. Don't use them. The fact he couldn't read his audience and couldn't see he lost them after the first hour says a lot. A bath to shower conversion should be between 4-10k depending on size, material and installation. We have a regular size bath, we're asking for very basic standard stuff and it still came back high. If you purchase something from this company and it has a lifetime warranty-know that lifetime is only a few years. purchased an entry door that was to never fade or peel and it has done both. When I called to ask for service I was told of course they would honor the warranty but after several more calls to schedule I was told they would not even look at door and to try to go thru homeowners insurance. I even tried reaching them on FB and when some replied on FB they just wrote Haha. Get prepared to have one of those long high pressure sales pitches and be cornered into signing something. I actually canceled this consult and they STILL showed up. I let the 2 salesmen into my home, my twin infants were crying, I was still in my workout gear, and I hadn't taken my postpartum depression meds so my fault. The sales pitch was terrible and long. Plus they WOULD NOT LEAVE after 5 hours. I gave them a check just to get them out the door, hoping I could change my mind later (or figuring I could at least put a stop payment on it). I was hungry and vulnerable and actually a bit scared. My husband eventually was there (in and out and taking care of the kids) but he doesn't handle household renovations, so he let me handle it. I used to work in real estate. I did but here's the worst part... their "remodel" service costs $25,000 (after a discount for you writing a good review BEFORE they even start) and only includes the stand up shower. No sink, no painting, if they damage the walls YOU need to fix them, NOTHING... the flooring is extra. I sent a telegram to cancel just like the contract says and some independent contractor they use is STILL calling me days later, begging me to reconsider. They don't even have staff. They outsource all of their contractors and part of their presentation is that independent contractors are bad. They even show a picture of a guy missing teeth smoking a cigarette and say that's who will show up at your door is you don't hire them... yet that's exactly who they hire. They won't stop calling me... I'm actually traumatized from this experience. I have used big companies before like Blinds To Go and California Closets but they talk to you over the phone first, don't pressure you to buy the day of, give you plenty of time to decide, and do all of the parts they say they will. They both also have showrooms where you can see their work. And they don't show up uninvited! I emailed the salesman after I canceled because I actually felt bad he spent all day pitching to me. He was nice but pushy because he needed this sale. If i said no there would be "issues." Way to scare a new mom! He mentioned it many times when his partner was using the bathroom. Turns out he's never seen a bathroom they have remodeled, he's never sold a bathroom before (and still hasn't since I canceled), and he doesn't have their work done in his own house he's currently remodeling... it was his first day and his "partner" was actually a trainer who said he had to get a sale that day or else he would lose his job. He told me this the next day when he called to convince me not to cancel. He basically used his call to me a a free therapy session. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I'm glad I read the reviews later that night (and that I finally took my anxiety meds!). He said they have 1000+ outstanding reviews on Yelp but I'm not seeing that. Like many other reviews on here, I received a flyer for 60% off installation. I called and scheduled what I thought would be a quick meeting for them to get measurements for a quote turned into a 4 hour pyramid scheme pitch. Half of the presentation was bad-mouthing contractors and selling me on their company. MAJOR RED FLAG. The representative presented me three prices. When I looked at the prices, I informed her that I would need to discuss it with my partner and I would not be agreeing to anything today. Her whole demeanor changed when I said that. Immediately she became combative and aggressive, saying that she was "baffled" by my decision, that I was a grown man and could make my own decisions. I told her that I appreciated her time but I was firm on my answer. She kept arguing and did not leave for 20 minutes after I had said no. The installers were polite and helpful; however, I was promised soft close doors and they are not working properly. A crew came out to try and correct the issue, but were unable to.. I have made numerous calls to try and get the problem fixed.. I have been promised many times by several employees for return calls.. The customer service is very poor and unacceptable.. Omg! So I get a flyer offering 60% off installation to redo a bathroom. I say great, let's see what they can offer. After 3 hours, I finally get 3 prices. The first one doesn't offer the 60% discount, even though the flyer does not indicate any restrictions. The salesperson drones on and on how they are so much better than anyone else. I'm understandably getting frustrated as I've not yet even seen a sample of their product. When I interject and ask if we can get to that I'm told that she (we'll call her Sherie) basically controls the sales pitch (I'm paraphrasing because my mind is numb from the droning and I have a migraine, to boot). So on it goes until finally we see the product. It looks nice enough, pick out fixtures, etc. It's finally time to get the numbers. Now depending on how you want to pay, obviously the price varies. It wasn't as bad as it could have been, seemed fair. So I thanked Sherie and emphasized that I wouldn't be making a decision tonight. THAT, my friends, is where it went sideways. I started picking up her samples from the floor to which she informed me I didn't need to do that but I continued to stack them neatly against her sample back. She started pushing as to why I wasn't prepared to sign tonight, to which I explained again that I was not going to make a decision tonight. I finally said that we had been at this for 3 hours andbthat was enough. Her reply was that she had been in potential customers homes up to 8 hours, in that past to which i assured her this would not be the case tonight. I finally asked her to leave and she actually told me she was going to say what she wanted and that i couldn't intimidate her. I finally asked if i needed to contact the police to escort her off the premises. I sincerely regret ever calling this company. Im sure, or at least I would hope that this is not the norm and perhaps they are a great company to deal with but wouldn't hire them to toast a piece of bread for me after this experience. Called in for information on options and pricing and was informed over and over, that they do not give out any information over the phone. Could someone call me back, I asked? My husband and I wanted to replace our tub with a walk in shower. My experience was very similar to Ginger D's. A salesperson came and instead of giving us the quotes we requested, he spent the first hour talking about how Remodel USA is a family owned company with great materials and a great reputation. We kept pushing him to simply give us a quote, but he ending staying for 5 1/2 hours. He said in order to give us a quote, we would need to choose our materials, but they were so expensive we chose plain white and the simplest shower head possible. We mentioned that we are senior citizens and want the shower for looking ahead when it will be hard to get in and out of a tub. The sales person kept talking about how how great his company was, but offered no true suggestions for what we were looking for. My husband has severe breathing problems, and the salesperson told us that he was 100% our bathroom had mold because we had a wooden window on one side of our bathtub/shower wall. He kept saying that they would replace the window with a material that was waterproof, and would treat all of the wood with mold on it. He insisted that with my husband's breathing problems, it was imperative that we do this. He wore us out, and just to get him out of the house, we gave him a check. Later, realizing that 25,000 was much more than we wanted to spend, I wrote to the salesperson (sent an email) AND my husband called them to cancel the visit they had scheduled for the contractor to measure our bathroom the next day. They showed up anyway. I told my husband not to let them in, but he was too nice. I was not feeling well and was in bed, but they spent 3 hours with him and then he called me out to sign something. I didn't understand what was happening (I was sick at the time) and simply went along with it. I was surprised to get a call asking to schedule our remodel. I said we had canceled it. They said that we had signed a contract and they had already purchased the materials so we could not back out. I was insistent that we did not want the work - and they could keep our $300 deposit, but they had someone else call us who hinted that the company would take us to court if we did not got through with the expensive work. I was still insistent, talking about my letter of cancellation, my husbands phone call, and their bulldozing ahead. So they had a local person come over and find commonalities with us so we would feel comfortable with him, and then basically tell us we had to go through with the work or there would be legal repercussions. So we agreed. Due to our disgust with the salesperson, the local guy said he would be here when the installers came, but he was not. The installers came with the wrong size shower doors the first time and had to come back. The installing crew was outsourced (which the company claimed they did not do) and they were fine. When they tore out the wooden window, they told us there was NO MOLD, and showed us the perfectly dry wood. So we were lied to. The final result was EXTREMELY disappointing. We have a shower that is all white and inappropriate for seniors who are worried about mobility as time goes on. There is a piece to step over to get into the shower. The shower is very narrow, and with the holding rail under the window, there is no way to shower without banging into either the rail or the door. The only shower head is up high, so if either of us are ever wheelchair bound, we will be unable to reach it. The shower is so narrow that I wonder if a chair would fit in. Sometimes when I use it, there is water on the floor outside of the shower. We also got a new floor, but the rest of our bathroom was untouched. During all the conversations, we had been told that our old wall tiles would be covered up with "green board" so it could be painted, but that only happened in one small area and I could not find written confirmation of that. We are now paying off a loan for a product we did not want, that is not suitable for us, and that is ugly. Now that I read the reviews of this company, I hope that at least the materials will be as good as they claimed. Every time I go into the bathroom, I am reminded of this great folly. We are no longer assured of an easy retirement because of this travesty. Rather than sitting with us and helping us design a bathroom that would have been useful for aging senior citizens, this company pressured (and threatened) us to pay a large amount of money that was supposed to help us in our retirement, but never sat and spoke with us about realistic ways to make our bathroom safer and easier to use for senior citizens. Because of the way our bathroom is laid out, I find it harder to get into the shower now than it was before. I regret that we ever called ReModel USA for a quote and will tell everyone, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I put a request for an exterior door install for my rental property through Angi. Called right away and said hey could help. Then the said my wife needed to be there for the estimate. I said no, tenants live there, you need to be in and out and I can't have an extra people in the house. They said it was a requirement so I said I would do business elsewhere. I was looking online for a company to repair, not replace my tub. I received a call from Remodel USA. I told the gentleman I was not in the market for a full replace at this time. He insisted that their quote would be much under initial ones received ($3000-$4000). He promised if I allowed them to come out and quote, I would not be barraged with a bunch a questions or a sales pitch. When the person arrived this morning, she started with a bunch if questions. AGGRESSIVE AND PREDATORY SALES TACTICS! Was minding my own business at the Howard County Fair Exhibition Hall and Marge would not leave me alone. When I tried to politely exit the conversation, she grabbed my baby stroller (MAJOR RED FLAG!) to prevent me from leaving. They kept me and my baby in the hot summer sun, with two associates tagging each other out to keep me there as long as possible. They even shoved a phone into my face to schedule an estimate. This kind of sales tactic is UNACCEPTABLE and I will be leaving negative reviews on all review platforms, including with the Better Business Bureau. Jassmine was excellent! She let us tell her what we wanted and walked us through our options. She even found ways to help my wife and I find great compromises on things we disagreed about. The experience was (if you believe it) fun! I felt like I was talking with one of my buddies from back when I did this kind of work for a living. If you want to keep it simple, this is the company to go to. How many people will actually HELP you look up their competition and see if they would be better? She did exactly that! We haven't done the install yet, but if I don't update this after the instal, it means that she stuck to her promise to be there for the entire process and that we are extremely happy with the end result. read more

The marketing lady Ms. Sherry Brooks bluffed everything and made me to sign the contract. They outsourced to a local contractor who doesn't know anything came with his wife. Very hard to communicate. The marketing lady said there is a project manager and his name is Percy and never visited the site. The door was wrongly installed and I told this installer to install as per the company manual and Mr. Percy threatened me that if something happened to the door then he Remodel USA will not be responsible. I hired another contractor and fixed everything. Remodel USA removed other fixtures and left on the passage. I called and complained to the main office in Maryland, but nobody follows through. They promise lifetime warranty, but when you call, They ignore the complaint. This company has called me numerous times after I had left an inquiry with Home Depot and through Home advisor. They do NOT represent Home Depot. The sales person said they do not work for Home Depot and gave me an estimate on installing a new bathtub. $11,000.00. For a bathtub. I signed a contract to have 10 windows installed in December 2020. Work started in May 2021. The project just finished in November 2021. After having to uninstall and reinstall all windows, replacing one, and firing and hiring an entire new crew that didn't know what they were doing. Trying to contact someone at HQ about recouping more of my financed cost is impossible. I was told the discussion wouldn't be had until the project was complete. I got $500 back after I called that was promised when the original project manager was fired, and was told Martin Slusarz would call me after multiple messages and emails but still nothing. I had to take multiple days off of work because I caught workers smoking in my house and felt they needed to be supervised. It wasn't until Drew came along that the project was done correctly. Absolutely horrible company in every way possible. I would never ever get them to remodel my home, and this is coming from a business that did sub-contract work with them. They are unorganized, they don't know how to correctly measure ANYTHING, they dont order enough material, they sell the customer one thing, then deliver something different, they put doors in the wrong place, which causes more delays, since the old door opening has to be fixed then a new hole has to be cut Then, expresses to the client that it is all the subcontractors fault because the job isnt done on time, completely leaving out the fact that Remodel USA caused all of the delays. Not to mention, they don't pay promised amount to sub. They also refuse to pay when the incorrect measurements, lack of materials and job delays are Remodel usa's fault. When remodel usa receives an invoice from a sub they instantly start bringing up "issues" in a job that never were mentioned before... But begged us to take more jobs? Every single customer that we did the subcontract work from Remodel usa said they were extremely disappointed and would never use remodel usa again. 8/2021 Update: Filed complaint with DPOR. Owner called and offered a settlement since he does not have confident his crew an repair their mistakes. Wants me to hire someone to do repairs. Found out the shower materials were installed incorrectly and voids the product warranty. It will have to be totally ripped out. Estimates for another contractor to repair all the mistakes will cost more than the original contract price. read more

I ordered a window and a sliding door in September, 2022. My contract specified it would be installed by 11/30/22. They were not ready till the end of January of this year. This was a big problem because they were for a summer camp in the Adirondack's. Finally in mid March we got a break in the weather and scheduled the install. I drive up and had to pay a neighbor to get my driveway plowed. Then their delivery truck couldn't get up the driveway. My same neighbor got out his tractor to get the window and door up the driveway. This was a pain but not the end of the world. However then I discovered that they made the wrong window for me. After all these delays it was the wrong style and the wrong color. My installers were great but overall it's a huge disappointment. They knocked $250 off the bill, but I'll never use them again. read more

They've sent wrong parts and the incorrect number of parts on more than one occasion and despite completing a change order and new finance request less than a month after the original order, and several months before job completion, they managed to take out an incorrect finance loan for several thousand $$$$ more than the actual project done. I had the walk in shower added after they removed the old tub and enclosure. This install was not cheap by any means, so I expected great quality. The drain is working better and the shower head is nice, the product is good quality. Installation and business end not so great. First off was called saying they lost my $1,000 down payment on the materials. Had to go to the bank and cancel the check $30 fee which two people said they would reimburse. Next needed to give them my credit card, so they could order materials. By the way it took over 2 months to get my $30 back many numerous calls. Upon removing old tub and fixtures a worker was carrying out a 6 ft copper pipe and the brass header for the hot and cold levers. I told him to put that aside so I could recycle it. It was put next to the green debris pile bag. Next day upon their arrival it was gone. Above all i bought drinks and fast food for the workers. Now while sitting on the throne (toilet) I see all the errors in the installation minor but note worthy. That was the first time in 21 years of living here something was stolen. They had to take a door from another job to complete mine. And now after a week and a half using the shower, there is water damage on my first floor ceiling. They came out the first time to provide a quote to my mom and tried to pressure my immigrant mother into getting the $25,000 bathroom renovation. They would not leave and only agreed to once she put down $50 for a so-called "spot holder". Then prior to their second visit, she calls and tells them no over the phone, that she and my dad were "not interested due to the price point". They show a second time unannounced at 2 pm telling my mom they could lower the price to $16,000. She, again, said no. Tell me why they show up a THIRD TIME UNANNOUNCED at 7PM and had the audacity to ask her why she didn't move forward with them. What?? No means no. This time I was there and stepped out and told them in plain English that they were not interested, and that it was the final decision. It definitely seemed like they were pressuring my immigrant parents because the felt like they could and tried to take advantage of them. Dwayne Hayden was excellent and comfortable to talk to. He listened to what I needed. I enjoyed speaking with him as he was very personable. I do think the price is a little expensive, I paid less for an air conditioner system. I do like the product and I am hoping the quality is worth it along with just one contractor to deal with. Sometimes convenience is worth a higher price tag. I will update the review as we progress through the install. read more

This company is absolutely horrible! My dad initially hired Phyllis to come to our home and do an estimate for our bathroom to be remodeled. After he told me what they were charging, I looked into getting other estimates just to compare, as anyone should when you are considering renovating any room in your home ! The next day Phyllis called my dad again and he told her that he was considering her price but wanted to look around , she insisted on coming over to my house again to try and talk him into it . She had him there for 2 hours not Taking no for an answer until I finally came home and said we are not obligated to go with the first estimate. I had requested estimates a couple hours ago for a rental house via Angie for windows and Remodel USA was one of the companies that came up. I appreciate that the person I spoke to openly said that their windows were not really appropriate for a rental since they were very high quality and therefore rather high priced for a rental house. Their windows are geared for owner occupied homes. I inquired about a ballpark price and had to agree. I wish all businesses were so open and honest. read more

The turn over in the company is so high that we haven't been able to get support for the current plans we had to install a bathroom. We were bullied into signing a contract after inquiring about a promotion they were having. I am pregnant and at the time we didn't even have power in our new home. The sales guys were there for hours on end into the night and the dark, refusing to leave as the "offer" won't be good tomorrow but we can change our minds. We put down a deposit of $5000 and still can't get any support from anyone in service or finance. Phone calls and voicemails go unanswered and no one will respond to emails either. The finance company cancelled the loan as well. Even the Sales rep has stopped responding. We are forced to submit a complaint with the BBB and try to get our credit card to do a charge back. Do NOT use this company. They aren't worth it plus they practice bait and switch tactics. read more
