Adorable sleeping nook (toddler not included)

Remington Flats is an awesome place to stay! The studio we were in (A-"Hemmingway) was absolutely adorable. Had a nice Ft Collins vibe with Key West flare. The bright paint and fun decor made us feel right at home. Everything was very clean and seemed to be well taken care of. Their check in style is different from your standard hotel, but I received an email and txt message with the door code and it was very easy. Private lot was nice too. They provide you with a lot of information on the immediate area and suggestions on where to eat, drink and socialize in Ft Collins. There are lots of special touches - fresh flowers (!!!), candy on the guest book, local brews and water in the fridge, several coffee selections at the Keurig and a Growler to use at select breweries in the area. The full kitchen was great - very well equipped. There is a huge walk-in closet that had a trundle bed and was a great spot to keep personal items out of the way. Also held extra pillows, a small fan and hangers for clothes. The bed is very soft, and we slept comfortably. It was very quiet, aside from a couple of trains. I don't mind that, but they did provide ear plugs in the night stand if you think that might be an issue.

What a cozy place. The kitchen has a 50's retro feel and cute touches throughout and ambient lighting and it's all dimmable to keep it extra cozy. Keurig coffee, meal size cookie and beers in the refrigerator are thoughtful touches. The location is perfect, walking distance to everything and convenient parking. Very quiet and clean, perfect for my little dogs

Wish the bed was a king. Loved everything else, the free brews, the locally roasted coffee, the lay-out. Perfect location for touring the local breweries by bicycle. Love the loner growler (need to include a couple pint glasses in the cabinets). The bike rack and fire pit were great touches. I'm jealous of your business as it is almost perfection! A+ on the service and the cleanliness.

Complimentary water...even barley water!

Happy with our time spent here. A little quaint, but with everything you need. Good customer service.

Owner or management were the nastiest bunch of liars I have ever dealt with. And the room wasn't clean to being with.

I'm a long-time fan of trailriding, and try out guest ranches wherever I travel. This gem of the…read morewest, Sylvandale has topped my list after many years of comparisons. We, as Coloradans are blessed to have this unique and top-quality ranch right in our neighborhood, at the base of the Rocky Mountains. It has the finest viewpoints from red rock formations, canyon lands, a rushing river, a gorgeous, authentic ranch with multiple trails of varying lengths and endlessly pretty viewpoints, no matter the season. Staff have always been perfectly fun, engaging, safe, and accommodating. But I am definitely saving the best for last... the horses !!! I have never ever been disappointed in the horses I've ridden here. I'd tell you the names of my favorites, but I'll save that for you to find on your own. They are just how you hope they'd be. Healthy, well-cared for, strong, stable, and light to your requests. They are also light and sure on their feet even as they cross rocks, and all kinds of natural Colorado native brush. I fall in love with this place and my horse more every time I visit. This is your trail ride! This is your place! This is your horse making epic memories.

The not good: they struggle mightily to get food served. I mean every single meal. Every one. UNSAT. They know exactly how many guests they have yet run out of food so fast during service. It's ridiculous. The cabins. Sometimes 'old for the sake of being old' just doesn't work. Modern plumbing fixtures and plumbing are not the devil. Example: I don't need to experience 100 year old bathing experience in a cabin with a brand new air conditioner. Also - don't put quilts on the beds with a sign that says don't use the quilts as they're for decoration. Lighting: pick a lane. LED or Incandescent. Using both just looks cheap. Onsite maintenance support: having the bulk of the cabins with no water is a real problem. Not having people onsite to immediately address that problem is even worse. Trash: a little trash can in the room doesn't cut it. Either put out trash bins for people to use that can be secured or have your staff collect trash daily. Key drop: if you want cabin keys returned to the office then either have an employee there before 0830 or have a key drop slot. The potential is there for this place to do so much better. That said this trip had me stay in 4 different hotels. Sylvan Dale was far and away the most expensive rate and they rank last out of last of a spot we'd revisit. Note: I don't do the trail ride or any other activities so those don't factor in to my feedback. This is strictly about accommodations and hospitality.

But comprised of many acres on a river and distinctive rooms make this a great place to visit. We stayed in the largest room with a jacuzzi for Friday and Saturday nights and really enjoyed the larger space. Next time we will likely try a room actually in the main building. Great breakfasts each day with recipes from the owner prepared by the local management team. From our perspective however a disappointment was they are apparently quite popular for wedding receptions that are smallish but otherwise fill the common area room. The disappointment was regular guests couldn't enjoy the real wood fireplace and many treats in the common room during the afternoon. And in the evening the staff went home and the fireplace was no longer lit. There were receptions Friday and Saturday. When you reserve you may want to check on the wedding situation if that is important to you.

While it's only a short drive from the restaurants and shops in downtown Estes, you might as well be a million miles away. The road dead ends at this secluded place, and it's dark and quiet at night. We had a nice evening walk around the property and enjoyed another walk...with elk...the next morning, followed by the included breakfast. The common area has snacks and an espresso machine, which we really appreciated, having arrived late afternoon, and not being inclined to leave for dinner. The whole place is decorated in a decidedly dated style. I know, I know, they're going for Victorian charm, and they've somewhat achieved that; lace tablecloths in the breakfast room, heavy furniture and lots of needlework pillows. Our room had a color scheme that spoke more to the late 1990s than the late 1890s. If you hate that, stay away, especially if you're looking for a place to stage a wedding. Otherwise, a nice place to spend some time away from it all.
