Mental health can be incredibly difficult--for the person struggling and for those who love them. Watching someone you care about go through a hard time is heartbreaking, but knowing they are in the care of someone as compassionate, thoughtful, and skilled as Dr. Rao has brought our entire family peace of mind. Dr. Rao listens without judgment, takes the time to understand the whole person, and has helped guide my family through some tough moments with steady, respectful, and personalized care. The difference in their well-being, confidence, and ability to cope has been night and day. We are beyond grateful to have found such a dedicated and supportive psychiatrist. I started seeing Amy in 2018 for ADHD. She's fairly nice but for such a small practice, the…read moreassistant is either somehow overworked or completely incompetent. I elected to stop seeing her after running into some family issues and the passing of my brother in early 2019. I started seeing a new doctor (a real doctor, not a PA), I needed my medical records sent over before my appointment. I called to get the forms and they neglected to tell me that they charge $25 for a copy of my records. I sent the email with the completed forms on Friday. The office assistant emailed me Monday to advise that I needed to correct the a fax number and check of "written" on the form. I sent it right back to her filled out properly. I get an email 30 minutes ago from her asking whether or not I just needed my medication records sent over or do I need the progress notes and psych testing as well and if I need anything additional to check it off on the form. Then she tells me, after knowing that I needed this submitted by the 29th to the new clinic, that there is a $25 medical records fee. I'm guessing the new clinic didn't actually need them as there wasn't any mention of it at my appointment. Based on how difficult it was being a patient 2 yrs ago, I really shouldn't be surprised that I've run into 2 issues already just for a simple transfer of documents to another office.

If you or a loved one is experiencing depression, anxiety, or substance abuse, specific…read moredisabilities, or other mental health condition, this is the place to be. The groups are wonderful, and you will learn so much that helps you in the outside world and in everyday life. If there is one thing I want people to know, it's that the staff, program aides, and case managers truly care. They make you feel safe and are very easy to talk to. One of the aides, Lasey, goes above and beyond. She doesn't leave until she knows you're okay and consistently checks on you. She has a calming presence and helps clients who are really struggling find peace and comfort. Can't say enough about Ms. Kara is the person who runs the show. She may sit at the front desk, but she will also become one of your biggest advocates. When she tells you she cares about you or says, "I got you," she truly means it. She wants you to succeed and move forward into a better life. I remember showing up one day, and she told me how pretty I looked and that she was proud of me. She was proud of me and then wrapped me in one of her giant Kara hugs. Even though I mentioned two people specifically, all of the staff are caring and supportive. They won't let you feel sorry for yourself, but they will help you recognize the direction you need to go and encourage you every step of the way. This place and its staff truly helped save me from my depression. Ms. Kara says this isn't your first home, but your second home, and that really reflects how they make you feel. They also offer TMS, and for me it has been a complete game changer. If you are considering getting help for yourself or a loved one, make the call and take that step. I can't fully express what this place has meant to me. Even my family felt encouraged and reassured when they had to leave me there, knowing I was in caring hands.
