I contracted this company to move me from California to North Carolina. They picked up my stuff on July 10th. Even though I left 1/3 of my stuff there to be donated to charity I was upcharged at pick up which I paid. Since then: I still don't have my stuff. I've been lied to numerous times as to it's whereabouts. The latest is that it's still in California. That means they've had it for 50 days and it hasn't left the state. I'm considering it stolen. They don't answer their phones, don't return voicemail or email. I have to call approximately 25 times to different numbers to maybe get a live person only to be bs'd again. First off - it's important to not that this is not the famous Mayflower Moving!!! They are a totally separate company. I went with them because of the initial price quote they gave me. Day of moving, I ended up having to shell out almost another $1K because my load was more than I originally stated. I thought this was fair but just want to give you a heads up to be planning to pay more than the initial quote. Also there are a lot of on the spot fees like long distance carry ($100 for every 25 yards they have to carry your stuff etc). My main issues with this company began with late delivery. They picked up my stuff on Feb 5, 2022 and finally dropped it off on March 22, 2022. Initially, they told me they would give me a discount for the lateness. However the day of the move, they rescinded this offer saying the date i said delivery was available was actually Feb, 18, 2022 so they were not actually missing their deadline. I double checked the paperwork and absolutely did not find any date besides Feb. 5, 2022. Not only that, but they lost my rug and gave me three boxes from someone else. On top of that they are not easy to reach at all. Email communication can take days and you'll have to call a few times to get an answer. Overall, wouldn't recommend this company mainly because they lied to me about the date and none of my paperwork or contracts were accessible after i signed them. Scott I hear ya! Wish we had done more homework before hiring this horrible company. After numerous unanswered calls, hangups, etc, we finally got through a few times. Each time I asked where is my shipment, Mandy or Eric would respond "I'm waiting on the supervisor to call me back." After getting this response repeatedly, I told Mandy she must absolutely hate her job and must have the worst supervisor ever who cannot respond to the Op Manager! After working on the floor and sleeping on the floor of my empty apartment for days and fearing I'd been scammed, most of my items arrived 15 days late. Several boxes were crushed and furniture scratched. A mirror box, office chair, trunk full of linens and most importantly my bed rails were missing!!!!!! DO NOT HIRE!!!!!! RUN!!!! P.S. and you ought to see delivery worker trying to place a mattress on a dolly! P.S.S. and was real nice when finally got through to the salesman who sold us line of BS, he hung up on me repeatedly. read more

Mayflower Relocation Services LLC aka Moving With Mayflower is a SCAM. They will make you pay them to contract out your move to a company that is also a SCAM. You will NOT receive your things and they will NOT refund your money. They will continue to tell you that they either, A) have update at this time for you, B) you'll get your things in 5 days (every 10 days they tell you this), C) they have to wait until they have a full truck. Who knows how long that will be. If it's winter they will also keep blaming it on the weather. You will most likely never see your things again, but if you are a lucky one to get a delivery your things will be broken. If you want to retrieve your things yourself, good luck finding out where your things actually are. They will not give you this information, and tell you "other families belongings are in the storage." I'm sure those families would also like their things as well! I have NEVER been more disappointed with the service we received through Mayflower. My hope in posting this review is that nobody else has to experience what my husband and I endured through this horrific process. Anyone who has experienced the loss of someone very close to them can attest that the loss is extremely difficult. However, going through the items and memories of the person lost is often more emotional than the loss itself. After my husband and I painstakingly went through the only things that were now left of his mother, we identified the few items from his mother that were precious enough for us to move across 5 states to our home in Nebraska. My husband's mother worked her entire life to provide for her family. She raised herself up from a Head start client to a leader within the head start movement in northern California. She was beautiful and artistic and worked hard to purchase beautiful things within her home that reflected this. Unfortunately, this is what made the experience with Mayflower moving company so particularly painful. The movers arrived 12 hours after they stated they would be at the home. Therefore, my husband and I spent the day, sitting in my mother in laws packed up home, in October, with no heat and only a couch and our phones to keep us company for 12 hours with the assumption that at any time our movers would arrive. When they finally arrived at 9:30 p.m. their truck was over filled and they had limited packing supplies. At this point, my husband and I had been waiting 12 hours for their arrival. We were tired and hungry. If they had arrived on time, we could left and purchased items to protect our tables, and large items. But since they indicated they would provide all packing materials for large items, we trusted their word. The table was placed in the truck with no protection around it. But since we were leaving town that evening to fly back to Nebraska the next day, we had no other options. In addition, because they were so late and rushed, they did not ever offer us insurance of any kind. The movers were more worried about their money and getting on the road. When we made it to our hotel that evening at 12:30 we had not eaten since noon and were exhausted. When the movers arrived a month later to deliver our items- there was only one mover present to unpack. My husband was alone, as I was out of town. As a result, he had to contact family and friends to help move the items, as one man would not be able to unload the items on his own. Additionally, the mover refused to even allow my husband to look at the items until he was fully paid. Therefore, the paperwork was signed and the mover was paid before my husband could even inspect if there was damage or if we received all the items. Of course, as soon as the last item was unloaded, the mover left and we were left reeling at the debacle that was left of our mother's items. Before she died, my mother in law specifically stated that she wanted her Stickley bed to go to her daughter. After the mover left and we were able to inspect the items, it was soon realized that the bed was missing the base- which renders the entire bed frame useless. We then also began to see her once pristine Stickley table- chipped in a number of different places, as well as a Stickley coffee table. In addition, her leather couch was delivered with only one couch cushion (there should have been 6). All of this to say, we have no inventory number for our items, because the movers did not count, make note or inform us of our options. We are not even sure if we had any insurance, as again, when they arrived, at 9:30 at night, they began moving the items into an already full truck. Since the items were my mother in laws, and we were not informed regarding insurance, we are making guesses based on google searches for similar items. We made a claim against the company and the movers 2 months after the items arrived, we were told to wait 6 months for a response. We never received a response or resolution. read more
