If I could give this company a zero...Multiplied by more zeros...I WOULD!! This...by FAR...was THE worst business decision I have EVER made in my 50 years on this planet. I would have done better betting on darts made while standing on 1 foot...on the Golden Gate Bridge!!! Let me start by saying this company is SO raggedy it's unreal. I moved today 9/21/21. I booked this move back in April. I FaceTimed the estimator and walked him through my entire house. He gave me an estimate of about $5800. That being said...on 9/16/21, I reached out to update my inventory. We sold several large items to include a large formal dining table, a patio set, a double door refrigerator, washer & dryer, a dresser AND a triple bunk bed...with mattresses. To be fair..I did add a lot more boxes. My estimate was originally about $6000. Once payment is given...it's IMPOSSIBLE to reach customer service. The ONLY way to reach them is to send an email & at some point...a rep may call you back. Even though I took out those large items...APMS told me I needed to send an additional $1000, which I did. Once the driver arrived(US BEST MOVERS) he told me I owed ANOTHER $3800 . Once I finally got a hold of APMS I was told there was nothing they could do...AND the truck APMS sent was too small... our mattresses were strapped to the lift gate. I expect they'll be ruined by the time I get them back. THEN....when the movers were done, I gave them a total of $3911 MORE .....only to be told..."ohhhhhh your balance when you get to your Texas is yet ANOTHER $3900". These estimates were grossly inaccurate...this whole situation is unbelievably egregious. WHO the hell has $11,000 just sitting around???? Well...not me. So the original quote I was given has more than doubled. My "estimate" went from $5800 to $6800 to $11886!!!! WTH! These people are brokers...they do NOT complete your move themselves. They are NOT compassionate nor do they care if they siphon every penny you have. I was in tears! The APMS's rep.."Gabby" basically told me " well...that's why it's called an estimate" STAY AWAY!!! This company does not manage your move... at all. They are brokers. I've moved dozens of times around the world and never had an experience like this. The guy was pushy like a car salesman and when I told him I found a cheaper price, he said he'd check with his manager and forgot to put the phone on mute and I could hear him not talking about my request at all. But then he matched the price with a guarantee of when it could be delivered by. I signed the paperwork (my mistake), he said he would be my contact through the process- and I never heard from him again, phone or email. No replies to any either. Martin just passed me off to a van line service (see my other review) who ended up being ranked F by the better business beuro with 50+ claims. Clause in contract says I can't leave a negative reply without giving them a chance to make it right. Well, they have to respond to that, it's been over 2 months and I don't have my stuff (and they don't know where it is), and I luckily have a lawyer helping me through next steps. American Plus Moving - With 2 legs broken this is how they left the dresser in my daughters apartment - Movers Near Me - West Palm Beach, Florida

Hired this company to move from California to Florida - Upon pick up, the price "changed" (increased) significantly. The driver had a quick look around the house, and announced the price increase with zero accountability, measurements, weights, etc. He just simply "did it" by "intuition" - They were paid to ship my entire household. They were paid to pack the fragile items, china/glass/silver. - No "inventory" of boxes/items was provided at pick up, or delivery. At delivery, the truck opened and the contents spilled out onto my driveway. Missing boxes, items from other boxes were put into random other boxes with no packing materials, etc. - Every single piece of furniture was completely ruined. No padding/blankets, etc was used on ANY of it. Headboard split into two pieces. Nightstand, and 2 dressers ruined. TV stand ruined. - A professional keyboard (piano) was completely ruined. No packing at all, just thrown into the truck. - Bookcases were destroyed, snapped into 2 or more pieces. Simply thrown into the truck. - At delivery, the driver claimed he worked for "Uhaul". - Mattress was ruined. Completely destroyed. - China/glass "packing" had zero protection. Completely destroyed. - Items were not put into the home, rather in the garage. This was the worst moving experience I've ever had. Multiple people at the company openly lied about their terms. This is a broker that connects you with an actual mover on both ends. The moving company they connected us with to pack our things was terrible as well. The lead mover showed up to our apartment and immediately demanded a bribe on the side so he wouldn't say that our move was overweight (even though American Plus told us we should overestimate our shipment in advance - we already overestimated how much weight and space we would need). TOTAL SCAM We had a contract for a move from 2/12-2/13. They were very attentive for the first few days and then went dark the week before the move. Then after I emailed them for a specific driver and date, they responded with a fake p/u time that never happened. Leaving me in the lurch at a very stressful time. This company is in the same location if you look at their Articles of Organization (631Lucerne Ave-33, Lake Worth, FL 33460) and has the same owner/registered agent - Gabby Klyotskin, Gabriella Klyotskin (also Amercian Plus Moving) , Gabriellaa Klyotskin (Bldyg Holdings LLC) as Relocation Nation Movers and Storage (also Relc Nation is Gabby) who has an "F" rating with BBB, 41 Fed DOT complaints for 2022, and already 11 for 2023 for dishonest business practices. Gabby is listed as the Customer Service Manager at Independent Moving Solution, AND she is a student at Palm Beach State College. Busy gal! Relocation Nation and I assume American Plus Moving are one in the same - as they appear to operate the same way. Bait and switch. Take the money and run, leaving a trail of misery to all they are involved with....like moving wasn't enough in and of itself! The CSR (in my case, "Mark the Mover", lol) acts like a friend, tells you what you want to hear like "we're not a broker" and "there's no risk in signing a contract and giving a deposit, you can get 100% of your money back up to 3 days before your scheduled move". This, I have now found out, is NOT TRUE in the least. I was ripped off by trusting good ol' Mark, signing the lengthy contract where buried on item #8 it states that in order to get your deposit back, you must MAIL a certified letter within 48 hours. Ironically, he changed his phone number, and email. Not suspect at all! I canceled within a week and they decided my $2700 deposit was now theirs....and they will hide behind this ridiculous contract, so you have been warned. American Plus Moving and storage based out of West Palm Beach Florida gave me a guaranteed to not exceed price for the move but as soon as my stuff got on the truck they claimed I owed them more money without clearly explaining why. They then held my stuff hostage for ransom. Even after I paid the ransom they only sent half my stuff. I am disappointed in myself for not reading the horrible reviews for this company before booking. Like another reviewer said, "If I could give this company a zero...Multiplied by more zeroes, I would". I booked my out-of-state move date months ago. 1 day before my move I was asked to review my inventory list. I went over everything! The next day the movers get to my home and tell me that for the price I paid they can only deliver my boxes... THEY CANNOT TAKE ANY OF MY FURNITURE unless I pay an additional $3K... No beds, no dressers, NO FURNITURE. Out of anger and frustration, I decided to only send my boxes because I didn't want to give a dime more. Now I am scrambling for a way to get my furniture out of the apartment in the next week. This is HORRIBLE. BAIT AND SWITCH SCAM!!!! I warn you prior to booking with a moving company or broker to make sure you know who they are contracting.  We booked with a company called, American Plus, the sales guys name was Brandon.  Before booking, we gave the broker a detailed list of everything we had, and he gave us a price quote.  He also told us our items would be picked up at a particular time and date, and then sent to a storage facility in the town we were moving in Florida, and we call 2 days prior to when we wanted our items delivered. Fast forward, two men show up at my house over an hour late and close to sunset, so it would be dark by the time they finished.  I walked through the house with them showing them what we had arranged to move.  Boris, one of the movers informed me that there was NO WAY ALL OF OUR STUFF WAS FITTING, AND WE WOULD NEED TO SIGN A NEW CONTRACT PRIOR TO THEM LOADING THE TRUCK.  At this point, it was past 5:00pm and it was impossible to get in touch with the broker.  When we finally touched based with someone from American Plus, they told us there was nothing they could do.  It was the moving company who was wrong.  we were told that we would have to double the space.  Boris and his partner refused to pack the truck correctly so I could see how much space we actually needed, they were in too much of a hurry since they were late.   I then called two days prior, as our broker informed up, and was told our things would be leaving the storage facility in New Jersey to head down to Florida.  It would be delivered withing 14 days, but they couldn't give us an exact date until it was closer!!!  I was infuriated!!!  They had taken our things, put them into a storage unit in a different state than it was supposed to be, then held with us having no way to get to it for 14 days after it was supposed to be delivered!!!!!!  Not to mention customer service was rude!!!   When we were finally able to talk to Brandon, he first told us he would help us get the money back, then after speaking to him again he said "SORRY MAN, YOU ARE IN IT FOR THE LONG HAUL!!!!"     WHAT??????????? So we get a call 2 days prior to our things being delivered, and told the movers would show up between 4-6.  They would unpack everything and put it in the rooms where it is supposed to go and set everything up.  Well, two men showed up, but one was sick and wasn't able to help.  We had to carry everything ourselves.  They didn't help carry any boxes upstairs.  It was the worst moving experience we had ever had.   We were totally scammed!!!  This company should be ashamed of themselves for the way they handle situations.  And we should be getting a refund for being lied to! read more

The contract they provide is essentially useless as they sell off your move to a company that actually does the heavy lifting. That partner company's contract legally replaces the one provided by American Plus, which means that anything you agree to with them isn't legally binding. Save yourself the stress and don't use them. This has been such a stressful month+ working with them. The sales person we initially spoke to completely took us for a ride for his commission. He gave us the lowest estimate so it sounded affordable, and he used the words "as long as you don't add any more items, the price shouldn't change". He also said our stuff would be dropped off no later than the following weekend from when it was picked up. We did not add any additional items to be picked up, instead we got rid of some things. Our end total ended up being $4k over the estimate anyways, because the original was based on such a small amount of square footage. The truck driver laughed when he came to pick up our stuff and said A Plus does this all the time, they quote customers off of a small sq footage when really you'd need at least 500 more sq ft. It's been over a month since our stuff was picked up, and it is still not at the destination. No one from the trucking company or A Plus is helping me figure out where it is or when it will arrive. If I could give them zero stars. Run! DO NOT go with this company. They are brokers not movers. The one positive I can say that the movers that did the actual moving of my stuff were polite and responsive and none of my stuff was missing or broken. But American Plus is complete garbage. The first thing they did was quote me a price they had no intention of honoring and knew that. They essentially wait until the last possible moment to go over your inventory so that YOU HAVE no choice but to go with them. I was quoted around $3500, the final cost came out close to $8000. However that's not the major issue. The major issue is that they FLAT OUT STOLE $2000 from me. I had to make yet another down payment and the zelle transaction did not go through originally so an ACH payment was made. I was assured that if the zelle transaction did go through i'd receive a refund. Well I kept being assured of that till it was too late for my bank to recall the zelle transaction and once that happened they suddenly stopped answering their phones and emails and are completely unresponsive so now I have to involve legal representation. I cannot stress this enough DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!! Once they have your money they will stop responding to you. We were placed in an awful situation where they had our deposit, the movers arrived at our house with an hour notice (to relocate from California to Texas) and the price doubled while we stood there. We had booked our accommodation to start the drive to Texas that evening, with a 9-month old baby and felt very pressured to go ahead or lose our deposit. We were promised our items would take 7 days, they took a month. We still cannot, to date, get a copy of our Bill of Lading and thus claim for damaged items. Just filed a police report against them on the strong urging of my bank for scamming! In addition, I have been threatened, intimidated, bullied and harassed by them when I tried to find out prior to loading if or how much any extra charges would be I was denied that. I suffered great harm and emotional trauma plus financial losses due to their abusive treatment. I hired American Plus Moving, Palm Beach, for a cross country move. The movers did not show up this morning when they said they would. When I called they gave me evasive answers and connected me to a guy who screamed at me at the top of his lungs and sounded like a maniacal criminal. He did not coherently answer any of my questions of when they would arrive and said he'll cancel the move! Then he hung up on me! I called back American Plus Moving only to be given more verbal abuse! About an hour later, all of a sudden the truck did show up! Meanwhile I had read the review on them that they charge extra as soon as they load all my belongings. So I wanted to know ahead of time if there was an extra charge as I wanted them to stick to the agreement. The abusive conduct and language escalated. And they said they cancel the move and just left! Please note I had not added any items to the agreed upon list so there should be no extra charge in any case. But, instead of giving me a quote of how much extra they would charge me, they said they cancelled the move and their truck took off leaving me and my belongings behind without making the move. Back on the phone American Plus Movers abusively informed me there would be no refund! Several hours later they called to inform me another truck would arrive in a few hours! I wanted to know if there would be no extra charges beyond out agreement. They said NO they would NOT promise that. And SECONDS LATER they texted that they would not send a truck at all! I cannot imagine being treated worse. I feel like I have been thrown in a den of robbers dealing. Called my bank (I had to pay the downpayment by bank check- RED FLAG: they don't take debit or credit bc then it is harder for your to get your money back even if they do not render services and still keep your money! My Bank is filing for a the money to be debited back to my account and also urged me to file a police report. I did just that. DO NOT trust the salesperson (In my case it was Mitch and Jacqueline) they act super nice and assure me they would be responding to me throughout the entire moving journey. But as soon as they had my money they did not take any my phone calls and the gloves went off with the most abusive people imaginable! AVOID BOOKING YOUR MOVING WITH THEM! This business is not accredited by the Better Business Bureau, and have an F rating. They are BROKERS, and they do not take responsibility with last minute cancellations. My move was scheduled between June 25th and 26th, from MI to OH. On June 25th, I finally got a call from Gabby at the end of the day, reporting that the move was not happening since they could not find anyone. I did not hear from them until June 28th, when Gabby told me that they could not find anyone for the week, and that MAYBE, the move could happen in a couple of weeks. As you can imagine, this is unacceptable, since I was already paying extra for extending my stay in MI. At the end, I moved with a U-Haul with the help of some local movers. Now, American Plus Moving and Storage had already charged me around $1200. Since this company was unable to provide the service, I should be getting my full refund. I haven't had my money back. Contacting their finance department is impossible, and customer service almost never answers. I finally got a reply when I left a review in the Better Business Bureau, but the company defends themselves stating the dates are only estimates. As a result, they practically stole my money. I am completely at a loss for how terrible this moving experience has been with American Plus Moving. We originally scheduled a move from Lancaster PA,  to Parker CO, through Joe G. He was quick to tell us anything we wanted to hear to book through this company (my wife even had him address some of the negative reviews, but he assured it would be a smooth process), but we are feeling very much that the wool has been pulled over our eyes, and the rug out beneath our feet. This has been the worst experience I've had with any company period, and will be making a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. The lack of communication, professionalism, customer service, and plain common sense would honesty be comical if it wasn't most of our possessions at risk here. Our original move date was set for last Friday, when they told us to expect movers to be at our place between 10-1pm. After this time came and went, with no answers, no call backs, we get a call from the driver himself (at 2pm) telling us he is going to be over 4 hours late. When he arrived he disclosed that he did not even know about the project until well after the scheduled time, and had to drive down from Jersey, in that he had no idea it was even scheduled (we scheduled the move about 3 months ago) Moving on to timeline, originally we were assured that our things would arrive by that following Monday, and then 5-7 days, and then up to 2 weeks at most, and after we called today we are hearing  up to 30 days. We are literally sleeping on blankets in the living room here and living out of suitcases.  No one ever told us that our stuff would be going from one truck to another. As of today, we got an update that our stuff was still in Jersey, about 3 hours from the original location, and about 20 hours from the new location, 5 days out from when the movers arrived. In contrast, I had a 2 ton car shipped here that made it in about 3 days. Also, we gave them an idea of our inventory, and then another update before the move, and we're told a certain price which we signed for. We were told that our things would be dissembled by the team.  But this was not the case and now they are charging us more than the agreed upon amount for extra space because they did not take apart the desks, kitchen chairs,  or office chairs. We've called Joe multiple times with absolutely no response, we have yet to even hear from him at all since he told us everything should run smooth. Every time we call customer service they tell us we will get a call back that never comes. We chose to use a moving service to alleviate some of the stress of moving 1500 miles away, and now our stress is just compounded 100x as we are being told we will not be receiving our furniture, clothes, family heirlooms, kitchen ware and appliances for up to 30 days. Some reviews I see it taking up to 2 months, and some saying their property has been damaged? I can't believe we wasted our money on this company. Extremely dissatisfied, and I can't stress enough, probably the worst experience I've ever had with any company, full stop. We feel completely helpless,  and that the company or the people here certainly don't have the customers best interest at heart. I scheduled these people for moving in March 2020. The first thing they asked me to do was look at their reviews. That should have been a warning sign. Turns out that they're a broker, not a mover. Moving was scheduled for 6/29/31. Nobody showed up, or contacted me. Took sometime to get through to the completely unresponsive customer service. Then, of course, the agreed upon price more than doubled. They finally showed up on 7/5/21. The contracted service provider was..."less than desirable." I was told that the earliest they could deviled was 7/10/21. Fine. Gave me time to get to my destination. It took them 7 weeks to deliver. Upon delivery, there was only one person. My brother and I had to help unload the truck. Two items were damaged in transit. Some items just were not delivered. One item belongs to someone else. Do NOT use this company, they are absolutely horrible. Any positive ratings you see on here are more than likely from employees. They have an "F" rating with the BBB and that's only because it's the lowest grade available. They will scam you out of your money and back employees who outright lie to you. Michael Walker will do anything he needs to do to get your money and then is too scared to even take a call after he knows he lied to you. Too bad that I cannot give -5 (minus 5) stars. I called in and spoke with Daniel. I told him that I have 15 small boxes and the load was about 71 cuft. He said that although the minimum for in state move was 275cuft, his company would arrange with another customer to occupy the remaining space that we would not take. They did that all the time. As a result, I would only pay for the room that I will use. When I received the contract, I asked him about the 275 cuft and $2,600, but he told me that was a standard contract and the driver would measure our load and I would only pay for the amount of space that we took. I sent them the $500 deposit. When the driver from the carrier came over at the scheduled time, he said that I still owned $2,100, I explained to him what the employee told me, but he said it wasn't so. He said that I had to pay for 275cuft even if I only took 71cuft. He called his dispatch who confirmed it. Next day, I called the broker and learned that Daniel was no longer with the company and the woman who picked up the phone, confirmed the driver's version. I explained to her what Daniel had told me but she was not going to honor what he said. The company has no scrupulous and don't honor what the employees say. read more

Critical: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value NO NO NO! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THIS COMPANY MONEY! We contacted them in June to move my son from Minnesota to Florida. They provided a pick up date and took w deposit. In the days prior to the pick up date, my son was contacted and said they were experiencing delays. Numerous emails and phone messages from various family members and phone numbers went unreturned. They did answer 1 email stating we could cancel but have yet to receive the over $600 deposit back. Still no response to messages UNTIL we left a message asking for a quote. Then we had a call back within minutes. We are now filing complaints with the state attorney general's office, BBB, Department of Commerce and the Department of Labor and Industry. We have since found another company. IF YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED, CALL AMERICAN PLUS MOVING & STORAGE AT PHONE ENDING WITH...7040. The lead scammer I dealt with was Corey, but don't trust anyone there. He was very nice and told me everything I wanted to hear. He gave me an estimate for our move and asked for 1/3 payment, which I did. I asked a number of questions, ALL of which proved to be lies. THEY DO NOT ANSWER CALLS NOR RETURN THEM , AS WELL AS TEXTS AND EMAILS ONCE THEY GET THEIR $$$. Forget communication from this company. These scammers are brokers and have no connection with the movers who show up at your house. They charge a huge fee to simply make a phone call to an independent moving team. The movers show up and tell you what THEIR fees will be which is a ton higher than what scammer Corey told me. THE MOVING GIUYS ADMITTED TO ME THAT AMERICAN PLUS WERE SCAMMERS. Placed an order for a move contracted to take place Nov 4/5 2021. Deposit sent and I've heard nothing from them since other than an email saying your move is delayed, we are working on it. I replied, sent emails and placed numerous calls over the following days. Customer service never responded to any. Occasionally I'd get through to sales (once the director of sales) with promises they would see to it that that customer service or dispatch would be in touch. Still waiting. I just needed to solidify my plans and get out of the house. Not even the decency to return a call to a paying customer. Got to the point with a 24 hour schedule window that they in theory provide that the 10th was best they could do if they had called me. Had to move onto another mover when 6 days would have passed. Got in touch with sales again today and was told read the fine print you need to cancel within 48 hours of placing order (which I did in October) for a refund. How can you know they will not show prior to the move? They said they'd never call me to discuss and never refund any money. I can only assume part of the business model is to rip people off. Absolutely the worst company ever!! DO NOT USE THEM!! I should of listened to my husband as he read the reviews and warned me about how terrible this company reviews were. Let me tell you I regret my decision the worst one I have ever made. The movers show up and my total cost for moving my belongings went from 3,000 to 8,000. The reviews are all spot on. I do not see how they even stay in business probably from all the deposits they steal from customers. I received a quote from Brandon and gave him a list of all our items when I reviewed the list there were several things missing he assured me the price wouldn't go up that the quality assurance person will call 3 days prior to our move and that I can go over the missed items with them. They called and I gave him all the items and told him Brandon promised the price wouldn't change. They said how they quote a price then when the actual movers show up the price goes way up. Michael the quality assurance man said they go up because people don't answer the phone when the quality assurance calls and they don't give them all the items that are to be moved. He said he would call me back and let me know what the difference would be and then he never did he also didn't even let the moving company know about the additional items. The movers show up with not enough room on their truck as well as charging me 5,000 more than what I was quoted. I have since been trying to get a refund of my deposit emailing their accounting department several times and no response! Told them to listen to my phone calls and everything I was told was lies. I wish it was possible to give no stars. I should have read the reviews before using this company. I 110% would NOT recommend this moving company. I was told that there would be a truck in my area during the time frame of my expected move and that 3 day window came and went with no communication. A man named Chris called me the following friday(3 days after my move date) asked me to go through ALL of my inventory and gave me a price for pick up and drop off...that list never went to the movers. Chris also told me to expect a call on Sunday from the dispatch to let me know what time the truck would be coming... that call never came. The next communication I had with anyone was the following Tuesday, nearly a week after my recorded move date, saying that my move has to be pushed to between Wednesday and Friday. 4 DAYS LATER THAN WHAT MY PAPERWORK SAID!!!! And still no communication on ETA for the driver to get to my place. I called and left messages and sent emails and nothing! The actual day of my move, the time changed from 3pm-5pm to 5-5:30 then to 6. And even at 6 the movers STILL WERE NOT HERE. I called the man who booked my move in the first place, his name is MITCHELL MYERS. He was very rude, loud and unprofessional. He even hung up in my face and then blocked my number so I could not call him back. I'm on a strict time frame trying to move to Oregon from Albuquerque for my new job and using this company has set my travel plans back to where I don't even know if my belongings will make it in time for my first day on my new job.
