I went to Back in Motion after an injury a year or so back to get it diagnosed and treated. The staff were all friendly, organised and highly professional, and the practice itself clean and well presented. However, after it became apparent that my injury was not improving, the physio is question refused to reconsider their diagnosis. Eventually, I gave up on the practice and declined to book any more sessions.
Skip ahead six months and another physio at another practice has taken a slower, more methodical approach to the diagnosis and discovers that it is an entirely different malady to that which the original physio had claimed. The new diagnosis was then confirmed by an MRI.
I want to make it clear that many injuries are extremely difficult to diagnose correctly, and that it can happen to anyone. However, I can't help but resent the flippant approach this particular physio had to my injury and their refusal to reconsider their initial assessment in the face of a lack of improvement. The appointments were all short, and I did feel a little ushered out of room at times.
However, I would definitely recommend this practice for their personal training and fitness classes, particularly the pilates. Any fitness routines conducted under the supervision of well-informed physios is always a good idea, particularly regarding the prevention of injuries. read more
