I have so much to input about this place, the staff, the food selections and the atmosphere. Wow, wow, wow. I left here excited for my next trip and already picked out what I will be trying next! I can't believe I waited this long to walk in to this restaurant and now sit a spell! The greeting into the restaurant comes first, as a first time customer we were really shocked when we were given red carpet treatment. When we let them know that we had never been there before, they immediately served us with a sample tray of their different sauces, and relishes. The soup was amazing, a lasagna soup, the milkshakes were INCREDIBLE!! we had their classic chili hot dog, cheese fries and patty melt. It was an insanely delicious!! Off the charts! Their menu has soooo many things to choose from. The staff was just the best ever. Engaging, friendly, fast and efficient. Smiling and welcoming. And the atmosphere?? Relish has very good hot dogs. Relish has very good burgers. Relish has very good chicken fingers. Relish has very good fries. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, what most people don't even realize is a paramount feature here is that Relish has freaking outstanding relish! So many different kinds. All made in-house and to different flavor types and to meet the interest and palates of every kind of person there is. I have been here a handful of times and each time has been a good experience. Everything is always fresh, the people are always nice, and it is never lacking on the neighborhood place kind of feeling. The most recent foray with Relish was during a game day at a nearby friend's house. We ordered for pick up and everything was ready to go. Despite a hiccup in the order with one item being incorrect, it was all perfect. This was when I got the chicken fingers, which were outstanding. Not the absolute best in the area, but definitely up there in the lofty top three spots for sure. I normally do not like places that have a huge hype surrounding them, but considering that everything that I have had here has been outstanding and that it is a neighborhood spot it has led me to cut through that feeling and really lean into how much I really like this place. Although I don't get to come here that often, it is a great place I like to stop at on a whim. My favorite thing on the menu is the hot sausages which I get with sauerkraut each time, and usually pepper it with whatever specialty relish I happen. To be feeling at the time. If you love a good hot dog, a quick bite that is beyond just something basic and boring, or love the feel of a traditional Delco lunch spot, Relish is for you. Mmmm finally got to try relish and it was so good! If im in the area I usually stop at Charlie's because I've been going there for years, but wanted to see what Relish had going on. They have a cute building with black and white checkers and indoor and outdoor seating right off of Macdade. They have bar seating inside as well which is where I sat. Free parking in their lot. Service was outstanding. Greeted as soon as I walked in, I immediately felt welcome. They took my drink order (birch beer) while I perused the menu. Another server greeted me and took my order. Classic hot dog with sweet red onion relish, bacon cheeseburger, and smash onion burger. After waiting a few minutes I added a small fry to the order. The hot dog was good, but the bacon burger stole the show. Nice crisp bacon, gooey cheese, a delicious beef patty, on a nice soft roll. The small fry was enormous and I took half of them home. Birch beer was delicious and served in a chilled mug, refilled twice without it getting completely empty or asking. Great food and fantastic employees, so glad I stoped by and will definitely be back for more! read more

Relish is a unique and charming gem of the Delco area, with indoor and outdoor areas. I've ordered the bratwurst, fries, and milkshakes (strawberry and chocolate peanut butter). Everything I've gotten has been great. The bratwurst on brioche bun was delicious and everything I added (relish, garlic sauce, mustard) was delicious as well. They have really nice fries here too, which I've had plain and with cheese. The milkshakes are some of the best I've ever had--non artificial flavors--especially the chocolate peanut butter which was mouthwatering-ly good. I love the customization options when ordering, you can add anything to your hotdog or food of choice (relish, sauces, cheese), often for free with your order. The pricing is also very reasonable, even cheap: $5 bratwurst, $5 milkshakes, $3 fries. I'd recommend bratwurst over hotdogs, which are smaller overall. I also enjoy that the employees running Relish seem to all actually care about their jobs and eachother, it comes through in the food ordered. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area or passing through. read more

A group of us heard this spot was good and we thought to try it out. The prices are really fair and affordable. I got two hotdogs and a coffee milkshake. I couldn't taste so much of the coffee flavor of the milkshake but the hotdog was delicious. I would come back whenever I'm in the area since it seemed to a popular spot! read more

The young woman behind the counter was amazing. She walked me through the menu and made the relish recommendation. I loved the vibe. Hot Dog stand, carnival, family friendly and Root Beer on tap. $10.95 for a cheesesteak. Cooper Sharp is a cheese option. On a different section of the menu board, Cooper Sharp (and all of the cheeses) is listed as an extra $1. Why can't we make the cheesesteak $11.95? That is still a good price. Quick and delicious! I stopped in for a late lunch and sat at the counter, where I enjoyed both the friendly service and tasty food. I had the Chili Dog with Sweet Onion Relish, which was fantastic--the relish really stood out as a house favorite. why are food places to lazy to change prices on the menu???i went there to "relish" 4/23/26 and did the math in my head based on the outdoor menu that posts the prices. the register price was at least 8 % higher . i asked why there is a difference in price and the girl mumbled and didnt expect a question like that.. she could not find an excuse and just said "i tell the guy". it is not the girl at the registers fault. the owner who can not take the time to change prices on the menu and drops the complaints into the register person s lap is unfair and mean.!!!! i am good at math and i can figure the total price and tax in my head. that allows me to have my money ready to go!! its as if the owner thinks the clientele is too stupid to do the math and realize the register does not match the posted prices on the wall!!! then , what about sales taxes?? how can you make sure correct sales tax is charged without a current posted menu price?????? if the standards are low changing prices, what other low standarDs are at this establishment????? .....as to the food itself, the fries were wilting and lukewarm and the burger was just ok. read more

I have never written a restaurant review before, but Relish is special enough that I felt compelled to do so. We first visited Relish by happenstance. We had planned to go to a different restaurant that night, but due to a long wait time, we opted to go elsewhere. When we arrived at Relish, we saw that it was almost closing time, and, not wanting to be "those customers" who come into a restaurant right before they close, we went to the window with the intention of ordering our food to go. Jenn, who was working at the window, greeted us warmly and asked us what we would like. We told her we hadn't been to Relish before and asked for her recommendations. "You haven't been here before?" she said. "Come inside!" (It turned out that what we thought was closing time was simply when they shut off the grill.) When we came inside, we were greeted by a friendly crew who treated us like royalty. Jenn brought out samples of the pulled pork and the various house-made relishes (side note: try the sweet vidalia onion relish; it is terrific). They gave our kids those gummy hot dog and hamburger candies, and even milkshakes as they were cleaning out the excess from the milkshake machine. As we ate our dinner, the staff talked with us, asked us our names, and engaged with our kids. We were beyond impressed with the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere. Given how great our experience had been that first night, we decided to make Relish a weekly thing. The food was delicious, of course, but it was really the people that kept us coming back. Jenn, Ashley, Lisa, Sarge, Eric, Bella, Jamie, Johnny, the whole crew -- each individual person who works there is delightful, kind, and fun to talk to. They are great with kids, they care about their customers, and yes, they make amazing food. (Those "Best of Delco" awards are well deserved.) My 6-year-old once drew a picture for Relish, and they hung it up high for all to see; that's just the kind of place it is. We will soon be moving away from PA, and as strange as it might be to say this about a simple hot dog joint, Relish is one of the things I will miss most of all about living here. Not only does it have the best burger I have ever eaten, it is truly the best restaurant I have ever been to, period. I cannot recommend it highly enough. We visited Relish after seeing posts on a local review page. When we arrived, we were surprised to find out that there was a screened in porch and a counter to sit at as I thought it was just a walk up hotdog stand. We decided to sit at the counter for service. I ordered a Texas Tommy and a chilli cheese dog. My husband ordered the hot sausage. All were delicious. The stand out however was the chilli! It was so flavorful and delicious I'm looking forward to going back just for the chilli. read more

I brought my two girls and our dog to Relish having been there before and looking for some good hot dogs today. I first have to say how clean the outside area was and how easy it was to order at the window. Next I want to say how fantastic the entire staff was to me, my girls and our dog Ellie. I wish I had asked for the names of staff but we were there around 3:00 on Sunday, August 17. We first ordered 2 hotdogs and fries for my girls, a 1/4 pound dog with bacon and cheese with onion rings for myself. The girls devoured the fries, I enjoyed my hot dog and the onion rings were generously breaded and large and the sauce was a great compliment. The staff brought our dog Ellie a dish of water and also a pup cup which she enjoyed. Also, three other staff members asked during our stay if they could give her a pup cup. Incredibly thoughtful, friendly staff. The girls then had a scoop of ice cream each which didn't last long and I had a Black Cherry cream soda which was delicious and came with another half cup of black cherry soda. It was all very good but your staff was even better. So friendly, considerate and helpful. You are doing a lot of things right. I think the owner even thought we dropped a hot dog that I gave the last portion to Ellie that my girls didn't finish. He was asking if I dropped it and prepared to give me another. It was pretty clear from the top on through you are all friendly, considerate and well trained staff. The food was very good and I look forward to coming back to try other things on the menu. I came five miles to try this place . We ordered cheeseburgers , fries and milkshakes. I was very happy with everything. The burgers were flavorful and juicy but not greasy . One order of golden French Fries was plenty for two people and the milkshakes were thick and delicious. Five guys and Freddies are right around the corner from me but I wanted to try Relish .. Very good place for take out , and sitting inside. Live nearby so I have been a few times . Took my grand she enjoyed her hot dog and fries I enjoyed my kielbasa sandwich. We ate inside. Food is good, service is ok. I stopped going after my last visit when I watched one of the cooks walk in from outside, blow into 1 glove to put it on and then proceed to touch the hot dog buns with his bare hand. I'm not a germaphobe but watching the guy not wash his hands after coming inside and then touching the food is a problem waiting to happen.
