Unique and quaint stop on Hwy 79 headed to Carthage. Inside you'll find a convenience store and a casino. . Looks like a general store / old time hitching post from the outside. And there is a Statue of Liberty for selfie purposes. Obviously there are gas pumps. I lost a c-note in the casino so that had zero value. But the beer was only $2.50. read more

A oasis seething with germs in the dessert of nowhere... It is a nasty dirty place!! The bathroom was disgusting! The store was dark and dirty! The people were truly straight out of deliverance! There are a lot of pumps and it is well lit out there... but as far as anything else... proceed at your own rick of infection! I had stoped to use the restroom and get snacks... after walking in and seeing the state of the place, the people inside and the pit they called a bathroom I left and went down the road. Damn good food here drivers ! I had the lunch special , chicken fried steak , and two sides , and tea for $6.99 . I had salad , and mashed potatoes. No bowls at the salad bar , just dinner plates . I was full as a tick after I ate it all. You sure get your monies worth here. read more

My family and I were there Saturday evening for dinner. We were wanting a good dinner. There was another big group there for a birthday party so it took a little longer to get our food. We wanted a salad from the salad bar but they charged 2.99 extra for it. So we have up our side dishes in our main meal to get the salad bar. That was the first bad move. The salad bar was good. Not many options on it for 2.99 extra but decent. Later we go our food. It had to be thee worst food I have ever eaten. My chicken fried steak was over cooked. My moms chicken fingers were also over cooked. My girlfriends Salisbury steak tasted like it was from a year ago. Absolutely terrible. So if your looking to go eat avoid it. The seafood buffet is one of, if not THE best I have eaten. You will not find a friendlier place. The seafood buffet included fried fish, fried shrimp, boiled shrimp, gumbo, jambalaya, pasta and, even BBQ ribs. The ribs were on par with ANY Speciality BBQ joint anywhere! Although I skipped the "rabbit food", it looked to be a very good selection of salads.EVERYONE, from servers to management mixed with customers to make sure your experience was a good one and everything was to your satisfaction.
