I booked myself a very last minute Hot Stone Massage to help my cause, and I cannot express enough how overly happy I am with my treatment. Danielle respected my request for a silent treatment, only talking to check in on how I was feeling. The massage was THE BEST RELAXATION MASSAGE I HAVE EVER HAD! I left relaxed without feeling drowsy, and my nervous system felt less anxious, exactly what I wanted. Danielle's intuitive treatment anticipated my every need. And I cannot wait to come back. 10/10 would recommend!

I have now visited 4 individual Align Massage Therapy Clinics, but gratefully refer to the BANK…read moreSTREET Clinic, as my "home base". I have required regular massage therapy treatment now for several years, and am truly grateful to have found consistent and professional service from the Registered Staff, at ALIGN's BANK STREET Clinic. I'll begin with the basics. The Clinic is clean (an ABSOLUTE requisite), quiet, and professional, with both Mens' and Womens' washroom facilities on location. On line, there are several extremely professional and competent, both male and female RMT's from which to select, for your personal treatment. Depending on the month of the year, booking a last minute treatment may be tricky, however, there is the option of submitting your name onto a waiting list. I've found though, that it's best to schedule a date in advance (and keep it) to ensure your treatment moves forward as planned. There is a cancellation policy fully laid out and explained, however, should you need to cancel your appointment. As expected, respect (with regard to cancellations) ON BOTH SIDES, is commonplace and is appreciated! I require "deep tissue" treatments, for which I am grateful to have found amongst this talented, Registered Staff. Not all RMTs perform this treatment. ALIGN BANK STREET Clinic also offers a multitude of different therapeutic treatments. . The beauty of ALIGN, is that YOU can choose both YOUR treatment style, YOUR personal RMT, and YOUR treatment date. I've attended ALIGN's BANK STREET clinic now for over 12 years. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the services they provide!!!

I always opt for the deep tissue back massage and Aaron is good at finding and relaxing any trigger points I may have. He doesn't talk during the massage, except to ask if the pressure is good. Then I found this place and all the reviews were great, which made me a little suspicious. However, I discovered that these reviews for here were true. This is a no games, no funny-business place. Anna was my masseuse and did a fantastic job. She was not only respectful and professional but her technique was incredible. This was the best massage I've had in a long time. Additionally, the receptionist was sweet and friendly, and the place was very clean. I will definitely return if I'm ever in Ottawa. Enjoy!

I've been to Daya Spa twice…read more It has cute decor, and a very relaxing atmosphere, for both the waiting area and the rooms. The first time at Daya Spa, I booked a massage with the rmt there. I was happy she gave me the full 50min massage, even though I arrived about 10 min late. Ali was friendly and listened carefully to me, and so I felt comfortable speaking to her about my pain areas. I liked the fact that she knew how to release my knots, and gave me the strong pressure I needed. I did find that the oils or lotions she used would dry up too quickly, and it would cause her to not glide as easily into my muscles. Ali gave some great advice after my massage was over, she made me feel like she really cared about my wellbeing-- she has customer service down to a tee! My second time there, I went in for a reflexology appointment. Olena was SO good. I loved how relaxed she made me feel, from her soothing voice to the gentleness she used whether she was covering my feet or slowly adding pressure. I would even doze off every now and then due to how heavenly it felt. The only thing that makes me not give Daya Spa 5 stars is the following: I found the front staff a bit cold, not very hospitable both times. Not much eye contact, and no greeting when one walks in-- makes for an awkward and not very welcoming entrance. The front desk lady did offer to get me some water; however, but did not lead me to the sitting area or explain to me that I should change out of my shoes into the warm slippers the spa provides.

As this spot is in my neighbourhood, I popped in here sans appointment for a massage/pedicure last…read moreweek. A 50 minute massage ran me over $110 with tax and tip and the pedicure likewise $75. That's a hefty bill even for an organic spa. I heard the staff mentioning that prices had recently changed but wow... Pedicure: lots of salves, scrubs, emollients were provided and I was allowed to pick my scent of sea salt. Pedicure space is a cool concept for 3-4 people wanting to go together as seating is on a raised bleacher style bench that you clamour up on. For me, this killed a bit of the relaxation component. Most little asian nail spots have massage chairs and charge $40 is all I'm saying... I love the leg massage portion of a pedicure and this one was about a 3/10 ie: weak and not long lasting. Polish was applied neatly although I was ushered out to the waiting room as soon as my pedicure was completed which caused a bit of a smudge. Massage: In a word: heavenly. Also quite pricy and what's with this 50 minute business? A $96 (or whatever it comes to after tax w/o tip) should really last an hour. It's not like you're applying copious amount of extra oil in that last 10 minutes and need to recoup losses. I was a bit bummed when I remembered to mention an area of soreness and was told we could get to that next time... At $110 a pop, I dunno how often I can afford to be heading for these rub downs. Overall, a lovely space and friendly staff but the price is steep enough to keep this local hunting for another go to spa.
