The outside is a little plain but the inside is a vintage dream yet with every modern convenience you need. We happened to call last minute and the owner met us there in 10 minutes and explained the history of the house. She and her husband bought it and restored it back to its original beauty. After reading reviews and stories online I was nervous about staying there. I'm so glad I didn't rely on review. The hotel had been recently updated we walked in and it was clean and the 2 beds nicely made. First thing I did was pull back sheets and blankets making sure no bugs. Yay no bugs. The sheets were clean and beds comfy. The staff was friendly. I spoke with the managers grandfather and thought at first he was being rude. The next morning the next lady who works there explained he barely understand English and speaks it. So I felt like a jerk assuming. any ways I'm staying here again when we visit my husband grandfather. Btw we switched room the chain was broken and there was a dead spider in the first this is where I encountered the older man who I thought was rude. The ac also wasn't very cold. Instead of offering a refund, a partial credit, or any meaningful effort to make things right, Customer Service essentially brushed me off by offering to "add some points" to my account. There was a HUGE crack across our window that was TAPED with packing tape as a solution and the bathroom door wouldn't close or lock. There was also a huge patch job on the ceiling by the window like it had previously leaked. The lobby and hallways were hot and NONE of the ice machines worked. I'm pretty shocked at how this room looked. Very disappointed!!

The location is wonderful--within walking distance of several good restaurants and downtown Granbury, and right across the street from the lake and beach area. We were there for a wedding, and it couldn't have been more beautifully decorated. The trees were filled with lights, and a beautiful ring decorated with flowers provided the perfect backdrop for the bride and groom to say their vows. The hotel provided a beautiful outdoor tent with tables and chairs and even assisted with a list of catering venues. The staff were so personable, friendly, and caring. They all really rocked our stay with their hospitality. Hotel Lucy is truly an extraordinary place to have an event, and I highly recommend it. The hotel also offers a wonderful full-size kitchen and table if you want to stay a couple of days and cook. In the morning, there is a choice of coffees and fresh bread, which was very yummy.
