I decided to try this spa out for my facial. It was a relaxing Sunday as I was the only one utilizing the amenities. I had the sauna and steam rooms to myself. This place is peaceful and relaxing. The only negative is the hot tub/whirlpool was out of service. My facial was decent, my only request would be not to use products that have strong scents. During the facial one of the products got into my eye and it started to burn. However, overall I have a great experience. I recommend. Plus price wise; it's comparable to other spas in the area.

If you're not staying at the Gaylord, SKIP THIS SPA. Starting with the good, the reservation process was excellent. Booked everything online, received a text to complete 24 hours ahead of time. Confirmation call was pleasant. Also, national harbor is a great self care location. Unfortunately, that's the last positive thing I have to share. When I arrived, they told me the amenities close at 3pm so I wouldn't be able to use them after my services... which meant I wouldn't be able to use them at all. If you have an earlier appointment, good luck getting into the whirlpool the size of a plunge pool during peak hours. My massage therapist came to get me 20 minutes after my appointment time and yet we ended exactly on time... I'm not sure what math gets a 50 minute massage and a 30 minute detox done in less than 70 minutes. This was also one of the worst massages I've gotten. She put all the pressure on the bone and none on the muscle. During my detox wrap, I heard nothing but the faucet turning on and off and someone bumping into the wall in the room next door. The final straw... they validate parking if you ask but it's for $20 but if you're parked more than an hour it's $29. For the price of this place, these details should be figured out. Please choose somewhere else, you deserve it.

Celine was my pedicurist and she did exceptional the way she rubbed my feet had me snoring and working my budget in my mind to squeeze in another one before the summer with her. My massage therapist was Lee who was pleasant, perfect pressure and didn't play no games she got right to business. The sad part was your massage is only 50 minutes versus 60 and they count down to the millisecond. Either way I will be recommending both and book my next service here with them both.

The spa is plush and nice. There are lots of expensive treatments but you can get a day pass ($35 for hotel guests, $40 for non-guests). They have a sauna, steam room, whirlpool and a quiet room. You could hang in a plush robe and escape for a day. There are discounted couples treatments. If you check the web site, you can find coupons and seasonal promotions. This is a nice way to pamper yourself and not spend a ton of money.

You come to a spa to relax or because you need a service done. In my case- the reason I went to Relache was that I wanted my hair done for a party I had to go to that night. The salon and spa are lovely, decorated in black and white with the check in area and spa on one side and the salon on the other. Book early as they have limited hours (11-7) and things fill up quickly. I called and got an appointment at 12 thinking I would have plenty of time for a wash and blow dry before my meeting started at 1:30. Not so. The stylist came out to the waiting area to tell me she was running behind and I should probably reschedule. Okay. Strike one. No party hair for me as they had no appointments available later in the day. I re booked for the next day (another day, another party, what can I say?) This time things went much smoother. I was taken in on time, and was shampooed, fluffed, buffed and sprayed all within about 30 minutes. My hair was perfect and it almost made up for my experience the day before. That was before I got the bill. Blowouts (for those of you who don't know) are usually priced for the length of your hair. My hair is on the shorter side (above my shoulders) so it usually runs between $35 and $40 for a blow out. Here? $66 and it didn't include a tip for the stylist which added about $10! Definitely New York prices in a Maryland location! i subscribe to the the "gotcha" theory on this one. They know there is no where else to go around this area to get your hair done so they "gotcha". They may have "got me" once. Twice? I don't think so.

Awesome spa! Great to see it reopened. Located inside the Gaylord National Harbor, you will be treated to the works. I did the 50-minute Swedish back massage with Rebecca. She was great. Also Matt, Joy, Safia, and Dumas were all very helpful. Very zen atmosphere. My only critique would be the music in the spa suites - I would've preferred more ethereal music at a lower volume. Thanks again! Pro tip - parking can be validated.

We just moved to Alexandria so we wanted to check out what this is like in case we want to come back. Our spa pass included a mimosa and access to their outdoor pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi, and relaxation lounges. There were also snacks and teas in the lounges. They also provide you with a locker, sandals, and a robe, and all the towels you'd ever need. The outdoor pool was fairly small but there were several places to sit outside with umbrellas so we enjoyed our time there with the view. The sauna was like the saunas in most gyms so I didn't spend much time there but I enjoyed the steam room for sure. The only reason I'm docking a star is that I don't think the spa pass was worth the $100pp it would have been normally, as the amenities were pretty standard and the women's locker room was pretty small. It def makes sense being in the MGM resort and can be great for guests but I'd rather spend my money at a standalone spa like King Spa that had more unique offerings. Still was a great day though and great to know this is right there in case we wanted to come back or try a massage etc.

He is patient and listens effectively to give me the massage I need for whatever tension I am experiencing. I always leave feeling relaxed and in less pain. It had been some time since I received a massage, so I was looking forward to this visit! There is a parking garage conveniently located next to the spa, so that was great. The staff at the entrance promptly greeted me and asked if it was my first time. The process of checking in and getting around was simplified by them taking the time to walk me where I needed to go rather than just telling me, which was appreciated. I was walked to the area where I changed into a robe and was subsequently accompanied to the massage area. Unfortunately for me, there were a lot of stairs, something that my knee and foot surgeries did not appreciate. It was a little awkward to sit in a small, public waiting area wearing a robe but it's a minor sacrifice. I had a massage with Audrey, who was very nice and professional. I appreciated that she took the time to ask me about my concern areas and my goals for the massage. The massage itself was good, though I unfairly compare massages to my former therapist who was exceptional. Audrey was very communicative and, even for someone who finds it difficult to relax, it was a good experience. Overall, The Sugar House Day Spa is worth a visit - it's also worth purchasing a gift card for someone. They will appreciate it! (NOTE: you can use the funds from the gift card to supplement a tip)
