I had a very disappointing experience at Skin Agency and unfortunately will not be returning for…read moreany remaining sessions. The facility itself appeared poorly maintained. Lights throughout the establishment were flickering, and even the bathroom lights were not functioning properly. For a med spa offering medical-grade treatments, the environment did not feel professional or reassuring. I came in for PRP microneedling and was informed that the provider performing my treatment had only been working in a med spa setting for about four months. During my appointment, my blood could not be successfully drawn and I was poked three separate times. Afterwards, the provider forgot to even give me a Band-Aid and stated it was because she was nervous. While I understand that mistakes can happen, this did not leave me feeling confident or comfortable continuing treatment here. They did offer to substitute the PRP portion of my treatment with hyaluronic acid instead, but considering PRP microneedling is a significantly more expensive and specialized treatment, I did not feel that would have been fair for the amount of money I paid for the service. I purchased my session through Groupon because I had seen mixed reviews and wanted to cautiously try the service first before committing to additional visits. After today's experience, I asked about the refund process since the Groupon had not yet been redeemed. The receptionist with red hair initially stated they could not refund it because it wasn't redeemed, but when I asked if it could be redeemed so I could request my refund, she contradicted herself and said there are no refunds through third-party groups. I would have completely understood policy limitations if the conversation had been handled professionally and respectfully. What stood out most was the attitude of the front desk staff from the moment I walked in particularly the red head receptionist. As someone who works in customer service and as a receptionist myself, I understand how important first impressions are. I did not feel welcomed, acknowledged, or treated with kindness during my visit. I drove all the way from Long Beach to Glendale for this appointment hoping I would be in good hands, and sadly that was not the case. I strongly encourage Skin Agency to provide additional training for both their front desk staff and employees performing medical-grade facial treatments to ensure future clients have a safer and more professional experience.

I am not a girly-girl…read more Let me repeat: I am not a girly-girl. That having been said, I work 7 days a week, go to school, sing in a band. My average day starts at 4:30am and ends at 9pm. And it has become quite apparent to me that I need some serious Me Time. It has also become apparent to me that my skin, especially at the ripe old age of 35, is nothing to be trifled with. So I have decided that every month, I'm going to do two things for myself: get a massage (yay $15 foot massages in San Gabriel!) and get a facial. I know NOTHING about skincare. My fine skincare line comes from Target. My extensive routine consists of soaping up my mug twice a day and throwing on whatever moisturizing-type thing I had in the medicine cabinet. Zits are treated with dirty looks, four-letter words, and OTC benzoyl peroxide. So I popped online to find myself an expert, and Patty at Tranquility seemed to fit the bill. Boy, were my instincts right. Patty (the owner!) is the type of skincare person I trust. She approaches skincare the exact same way I approach massage therapy-- therapeutically. She solves your skin problems, and solves them well. This is no foofy facial (but it felt damn good nevertheless). She microdermabraded, she exfoliated, she serumed and moisturized and assured me that eventually my dumb stupid acne scars would go away with proper care at home. She was incredibly professional, treated me like an old friend, answered all my questions, and knew her stuff backwards and forwards. She told me what I should do to take care of my skin in the interim, and assured me results if I was consistent. And you know what? I believe her wholeheartedly. The place itself has a relaxing atmosphere and is immaculately clean. Prices are extremely reasonable, and there was no hard-sell for products. I was incredibly impressed with Patty and Tranquility, and this will officially be my Monthly Facial Place for as long as I can afford it. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go show off my exfoliated glowiness.

After my filler appointment, I noticed migration and reached out to have it evaluated. Instead of my concerns being taken seriously, I felt dismissed. I was told that it was "just the way I see them," rather than receiving a thorough or supportive assessment. An attempt was made to dissolve the area, but too much was dissolved. When I returned to correct it, a different filler was used, which left my lips uneven and with an unnatural shape. Despite this, I was told I would need to pay more if I wanted additional filler to fix the issue, something I felt was caused during the initial treatment Communication was also very frustrating. I left messages with the front desk and sent emails using the contact information provided, but did not receive a response for an extended period of time until she noticed my review Overall, I did not feel supported as a patient, especially when concerns came up after treatment.
