Very disappointed. This used to be my favorite place to get pupusas. I placed a group DoorDash order for my co-workers and me right when the restaurant opened at 11:00 a.m. The order was accepted, marked as being prepared, and our DoorDash driver even arrived and waited at the restaurant. After nearly 30 minutes, we received a notification that our order had been canceled because the restaurant was reportedly closed. I'm confused as to how the restaurant could be "closed" after accepting the order, marking it as being prepared, and having a driver waiting for pickup. If they weren't able to fulfill orders, they should have declined or canceled it immediately instead of making us wait. Lost a loyal customer. read more

5 stars all the friggin' way! My staff and I are OBSESSED with Reina's! They seriously make some bomb ass pupusas and we are hooked! We've ordered delivery from Reina's about 4 or 5 times now, and they haven't failed us once. They ALWAYS deliver the goods. Their pupusas are always so fresh and filling. Not too oily and always moist but not to the point of falling apart. My favorite are are the revueltas and I always get at least one revuelta when I order because I'm addicted. I've also tried their bean and cheese and cheese and jalapeño which are also super tasty. But the revueltas are where it's at! They have great lunch specials that come with beans and rice. I love their Salvadorian beans as they prepare them in the correct style. Their plantains are and cream and so damn yummy too. The prices are so reasonable and their pupusas are a nice size, so you're never left feeling hungry. Just really fresh and flavorful food. I have yet to make it to the actual storefront but I plan to visit one day to have an actual sit down meal. But until then, my staff and I will continue to order takeout from here when we get them cravings. So glad to have them here to satisfy my cravings! You def can't go wrong with Reina's! read more

Very disappointed about this one . Let's get into it . I love pupusas ! It's a comfort food for me . I live very close to Reina's and was going to walk over there but no one answered the phone . I called helllla times lol NOT ONE ANSWER . Red flag number one . So since they didn't answer I did not end up walking over there because even tho Yelp says they're open till 11 I see them closed earlier than that sometimes ( this was 7pm when I started calling) So I ordered on DoorDash . I got 1 steak and cheese 1 bean and cheese pupusa with rice and beans . Rice and beans was good . The pupusa was bland af no favor ! Reina's was pretty alright! I definitely want to return to try the BBQ mix, but i'm rarely in the East. That said, I saw Reina's on the way to the library and told myself I'd return for pupusas when I was done. Parking is trash lol. I ended up parking in the red outside of the restaurant and placed my order over the phone. I initially wanted just four pupusas - two queso, two queso y loroco - but three for $11 isn't a bad deal at all, so I ended up getting 6 for $22. I also ordered two plates of plantains, crema, beans and rice. Overall it was a delicious meal. I didn't eat the crema with the plantains because it's just not my thing, but the pupusas were everything I wanted & everything I expected. Quesillo is so delicious. Though they're not the same I often compare pupusas to quesadillas when explaining what a pupusa is to someone who has never had it, but I always state that I strongly prefer pupusas because they're thicker and I like the cheese (quesillo) much better. read more

First time ordering through Door Dash for this restaurant. They sold me when menu showed Pan Con Pollo and PuPusas. They will get all stars even more if I can. Everything I ordered was delicious. I mean on the spot , I remember when my friends mom made it for us it would have cooked red beets. The way they made it just reminded of my friends mom. "Thank You" I have been searching for a restaurant that could make it but either they don't make it or not even close. You get my thumbs up!! I went to the Oakland Zoo and my dad wanted some food afterwards so he found this place. Small business there was only like there was only 3 ladies during my time there and it was a full house of people. So the orders did take a while so if you're looking for a fast service probably go elsewhere. When we first got there we were the only customers so they let us eat inside but after that I think everyone else was takeout only. I got a pan con pollo and that was full to the brim and pretty good. The milkshakes come with whipped cream and paper straws as well. Only downside is their location so still 5 stars since that's out of their control. Its not a good area and stinks of cigarettes outside. If you walk around too long you'll get a massive following of either people asking you for money or drunk people just saying anything. At some point some drunk people came inside and started harassing the poor cashier and I was pretty scared for everyone inside but they got bored and left after a while so yeah. Reinas has an amazing Monday special of 3 revueltas pupusas for $7 dollars thats 15 pupusas for $35 dollars..... leaves you with enough food for breakfast the next morning!!!! I practice my Spanish specifically to come here because the pupusas are made from my dreams. This is a true Salvadoran place and yes, as the few ugly reviews will tell you, no one in this establishment speaks English. Because it is Salvadoran. That seems so self-explanatory to me yet the few 1 star reviews seem shocked by that fact. That being said, my Spanish is very elementary but everyone in this restaurant is kind and happy to serve people, and they meet me in the middle when it comes to communicating. I have been eating here for a couple of years and the people and decor are always friendly and inviting. The dishes are generous and nicely presented.
