-0 stars if I could for this racist and negative excuse of a reiki specialist. Marci Howard is a complete scam. I booked an appointment via the phone weeks in advance. I specifically explained to her that I had an underlying condition and I had a procedure which prohibits me from wearing a mask. She replied "That's fine. I don't need it, only the front gate representatives will ask." She then proceeds to give me instructions of how to get to her rented home. (Which is really a Senior Community Center) When I get to the location, her untrained dogs start slobbering all over my legs, barking wildly and I am greeted with a cold calculated negative stare. Her demonic and racist energy was immediately felt and her home was a hot mess with dog urine in her kitchen floor. My red flag meter appeared and then I asked her " Do you have change for today's session as I brought a $100 bill?" The demon responds "I don't know. I won't serve you without a mask." I was relieved that I did not move forward with this unprofessional fraud. I specifically told Marci Howard about my condition prior to coming in and she racially discriminated and said she couldn't serve me. As I quickly walked to my car (to relieve myself of the strange odor in her strange home) She follows me to my car and asks "Would you like to do a phone session?" I immediately sped off!!!! Ladies and gentlemen of all races and ages find a legitimate Reiki specialist that is true to their word, professional, non demonic energy and a specialist that actually does it full time and not "pretending" surrounded in dog urine. I first experienced reiki healing thru Marcie and I've liked her so much, I brought a session for a friend for his birthday. The energy healing she provides is a subtle heat that will leave you feeling relaxed yet invigorated. Sometimes she sees images, other times it is a word that she hears that describes exactly how you are feeling. I didn't expect a metaphysical experience but when I did (twice now), it was always very illuminating ...and did I mention, she sings too? Her music is also very therapeutic and energizing...kind of like having a nice yoga workout glow but without the icky sweatiness! I also love that her new office is inside the building of the School of Multidimensional Healing Arts & Sciences. I came in to get healing about my life issues. Practitioner told me 1) I was all in my head, 2) my anxiety was due to distrust of reiki even after I told her I had been receiving reiki and taken classes on reiki, and 3) buffered herself by saying in case of ineffectiveness of her practice, it's due to my resistance. By the way, front desk staff made racial comments on Asians while I was waiting for the session. Additional comments: 1.My original review differed from this one with one additional grammatically redundant "and", before point 2 2. I discovered Marcie through groupon and had no idea about Rieki. Initially, I intended to recieve Rieki to seek a new way to relax. I kept an open mind and was happily suprised each session. Marcie has a wonderful healing energy to her and when I first booked my session I wasn't sure exactly what to expect but when I got there, she spent a few minutes asking useful questions about what was going on with me and giving some of her own guided insights into my situation. Then she laid me on the table and began to do reiki on me with additional pieces like crystals essential oils and music. I felt so incredibly relaxed that I was able to let go completely and fall asleep while she guided me gently into a feeling of deep wellness. Towards the end of the session, she sang to me and I felt deeply touched and moved by the vibrations and at the close of the session she used a special crystal bowl that resonated deeply in my whole body. When I emerged from it I felt deeply nourished and refreshed by the experience. I received a Groupon session at Reiki Sounds as a gift, unfortunately my experience with Marcie was terrible. I arrived early (7 mins) to my apt because I was so excited and usually run late, but when she walked over, she did not greet me in any form (no smile, no hello, nothing) instead she pointed out that I was early. She seemed rather flustered, and told me to wait in the hall. I waited for 15 mins and contemplated leaving but decided to give her another chance as I was very curious about getting Reiki for the first time. When she finally took me back, I politely introduced myself/made small talk. She then asked me in a condescending tone if I was okay, because it looked like I was about to cry. Which I felt was just rude, unnecessary, and insincere, I had literally just sat down with her for 5 mins. At that point, I thanked her but said I was no longer comfortable/interested getting a Reiki session by her due to the bad/negative energy (that perhaps we were just not a good fit). She became very upset, scolded me saying that I was "judgmental"...ironically lol. I am currently in a cultural anthro class and although my experience was negative it does not swayed me from seeking genuine healers. I encourage anyone who is truly seeking a gifted Shaman or alternative healing practices/rituals for themselves to really do their research. Marcie is a really sweet lady, but sadly, this did absolutely nothing for me. It was just sort of a nice meditation. I came in depressed, after learning of my company moving, and really needed all the positive energy that I could get. I was really intrigued to try it, but left really disappointed, and more depressed than when I came in. I didn't feel any of the effects that I have read about, or was told I would feel. Nothing at all. She dimmed the lights, put some crystals on me, and stood with her hands resting on my right leg and ankle for about 10 mins, then she put her hands on my shoulders for another 10 mins, and repeated the process on my other side. That was it. No real guidance before or afterwards, and I think we spent more time talking about her health issues than my own. read more

I had heard about Reiki while I was going to holistic nutrition school and was curious what it was all about. Marcie is a gifted and caring healer. She uses sounds (chanting, singing, breathwork, instruments, music), crystals and reiki to heal. First, she'll talk to you about why you're there.
