**Would love to give 5 stars but please read, REIG** Our property is fantastic. We love the house we purchased after work was done by REIG. This is our first home purchase and the process was quick and easy. For the most part, all inspections came back clean and any issues as a result of the inspection were fixed immediately. Again, this was another reason why we felt confident in the work completed by REIG. We had a beautiful welcome package left at our home when we took possession of the keys, very nice touch. All staged furniture was removed and the property was left in great shape. Here's why I'm not giving 5 stars at this time.. We've been trying to find out which laminate was used through our house. The bedrooms were carpeted and the disconnect looks unpolished. We would love to finish off the house with the same laminate as the common area but REIG is not communicating back to our Realitor. We simply want to know what the flooring is so we can match it. Please read this and get back to me. It should be quick and easy and I'm sure you have the specs on file. Keeping the relationship going after the purchase is important! This is our first purchase but definitely not our last. We would love to look for other REIG properties because we believe in the work your company invests in flips, but the post-communication is leaving a bitter taste in our mouth. read more

REIG sold me a home and has failed to make up for their negligent remodel. Do NOT trust REIG. I bought a home in La Mesa from them in January 2017. It was a remodel flip. At the onset, everything looked great and I couldn't have been happier. Ever since I have encountered flooding in a semi-subterranean room. My realtor contacted their realtor several times when flooding initially occurred, March 2017. It was initially thought to be resolved. However significant flooding due to rainwater began occurring in October of 2018. Then again around Thanksgiving. After the event over Thanksgiving weekend, I removed the drywall and found a 4 inch diameter hole in the wall at the floor-wall junction. I removed more drywall and found black mold on the backside of the drywall going up the walls. They hired a company to investigate and a report has been submitted. I have yet to be contacted regarding their offer for resolution. I am a naval officer about to deploy and can no longer adequately manage my property due to their continued negligence and failure to communicate a clear plan of action. I do not want to see what happened to me affect any other good hard working citizens of San Diego. Avoid REIG properties at all costs. Thank you. read more

REIG Renovations - Hole found in wall after removing drywall. Negligent remodel on performed on behalf of REIG. - Real Estate Services Near Me - San Marcos, California

We were in a hurry of selling the house quickly. We received the letter in mail from REIG and thought it was a good way of selling the house, as we would have lot less headache. Initially, we worked with Neva, she is very friendly and helpful. Then we worked with Marcel. Marcel arrived to our house on time for the appointment and friendly. Everything went well and now we are moving to the new house. They would give you many benefits by working with them, instead of going through traditional sales process. I would recommend REIG to everyone who wants to sell their house easy and quick! read more

My wife and I purchased a home that was renovated by REIG back in 2019. All work performed is substandard and already falling apart. This company takes advantage of people by selling poorly flipped homes at exorbitant prices. read more

My husband and I recently purchased a home in Santee that was flipped by REIG. We obviously had a home inspection and some things were revealed then and some more things have come to light. During the escrow process our realtor and ourselves found them uncommunicative, which was surprising considering the house had sat on the market for nearly a month with no offers and they had a clause in our contract that penalized us for any days past 25 of escrow. It was determined that the roof would have to be replaced prior to close and after much back and forth, they hired The worst roofers possible to replace it. They took a week longer to finish than we expected, shot nail holes all through the shiplapped ceiling, left beer bottles in the cupboards, and left black soot in every brand new finish. When we insisted the nail holes be repaired, they removed the nails and simply painted over the holes. We said this was unacceptable to us and they were kind enough to give it a better attempt on the morning of closing. The roof was just the tip of the ice berg. We've been in the house about 3 weeks and one bedroom door is hanging off because the holes are stripped where the hinges are screwed on. The brand new cupboards have half of the handles hanging off because the screws used were too short. The light fixtures in the bathrooms are installed crooked. The exterior lights are not connected to any switch and the bulbs have to be unscrewed to turn them off!!! We were told there were no garage door openers, even though the thing is brand new, we actually found them in a lock box which was chained to the garbage disposal (after we broke it open). I'm sure that I could find 10 more similar things to list but it's becoming redundant.... There was absolutely no pride of workmanship in this property and no quality control done by REIG. I'm so disappointed that these beautiful finishes were ruined by improper installation but I'm disgusted that other perspective homeowners may also feel swindled by this company. BEWARE when you see their brochures on the counter! read more

I'm a Realtor and deal with many people in the real estate industry. REIG is the most honest, ethical and dependable home renovation and "flipping" group I've ever worked with. They are good people! read more

Working with REIG and their associates has been a great pleasure. They made the transaction from start to finish very easy. Kept me informed thought the process. They will always be my first choice when it comes the my referrals. Thank you REIG Team! read more

I chose REIG after meeting with Erik the representative and also other investor firms. I chose REIG because they truly asked and cared about the sellers needs. They did everything they said they would and closed on time unlike other investors I have done transactions with. My experience with them was top notch. As a broker for many years I could have listed this on the market but my seller needed a fast close without the usual runarounds and pushes for reductions based on needed repairs typical of many investors. I'm a straight shooter and I like dealing with people who are the same. Two thumbs up! Thanks for making me look good as well for bringing you aboard. read more

I could not agree with Christie E.'s view more. They go on and on about being Christians and nothing they do is Christian. They cheat people and buy their homes for peanuts and then do some substandard "rennovations" and sell to suckers. I bought a home from them as well and within a few months it is falling apart. They bring in illegal aliens from mexico to use cheap materials and it is one code violation after another. They brag about charities and their Christian ways...NO WAY! WATCH OUT FOR THIS GROUP OF CONS. All these glowing reviews are fakes...they wrote or friends wrote. UPDATE: I just got an email from the Christians at REIG who screwed me. I mentioned Christie E and brian says he will be 'reaching out" to you to fix all your problems...we'll be watching to make sure he does. I still say beware of these people...they are shysters and cons. read more

I found a great group of investors that have done an amazing job with all the properties. They are ethical and honest. They do not lie to get you into the deal, they actually tell you what they will do and they do it. if there is something they cannot do, they will tell you right away. Their remodels are amazing and they make the communities increase in value due to that. They also do so much for the VA families... they donate a remodel for some of these families that have gone through a lot. Their organization with their business has even thought me to be better at my own organization skills. I will continue to do business with them for many many years. Brian, Marcel, Nohemi, Gary.. just the best of the best!! read more

I had a great experience with the entire team. I wanted to sell my condo to be closer to my elderly parents. Not only did they close quickly and easily on my place, Marcel knew a realtor in the area I wanted to purchase in---just as easy to work with as REIG. Thank you all so much, I would not hesitate to refer friends to you all! In fact, I already have!! read more

I would like to thank REIG Renovations for helping me sell my home with effortless ease. The entire staff was very professional. I lived in this family home for many years, and my decision to sell was handled with care. I would highly recommend REIG to anyone who is looking to sell, buy or renovate. Oh, and my transaction was as short as it gets....17 days!! Thanks again Neva, Sarah, and Marcel for making my decision to sell a pleasant experience. You all are so amazing!! REIG Renovations is a dynamic, cutting edge renovation company! I have had the pleasure of working directly with Marcel, Brian & Patrick with REIG on several occasions with the acquisition of property in the North San Diego area. The entire team is amazing! I have also been involved with their charitable fundraisers. The most recent fundraiser I attended was for Wounded Warrior Homes. It was a huge success and REIG is very passionate about raising monies for their charity groups. I would highly recommend REIG as they are very detail oriented in their acquisitions and their renovations. REIG has proven to be incredible in achieving deadline driven contractual negotiations and are always ready to close on time. I look forward to many more transactions with REIG as they are easy to work with and a proven team! I have referred REIG Renovations to numerous clients over the years! Respectfully, J. So it has been over a year that we purchased a REIG flipped house in San Diego...I would never buy a home that this company worked on or could not in good conscious recommend REIG. Although I paid for a home inspection prior to the purchase many of the issues were hidden and later surfaced. For example electrical work in the attic that was not to code (spicing an electrical cord onto the kitchen fan electrical connection). French doors that were installed improperly and leaked and warped the first time it rained. Toilet that was installed on an uneven flange with on bolt and chalking to hold it place. Improperly graded back yard resulting in water draining into garage, etc. By the way the company came out after I complained on a FB posting. They sent out a worker he started to fix the French and then never came back. The company promised to send out someone else and I am still waiting...it has been a year. read more

I've been working with REIG regularly for over a year now, processing escrow, and I can truly say that I've enjoyed each and every transaction I've had with them. Gary Cashman, their Operations Manager, is thorough and efficient, and always makes my job so easy! He communicates openly so all parties can remain on the same page throughout our closing. When they open a deal, I know with almost 100% certainly that it's going to close; afterall they do amazing home transformations! Professional investors with the utmost integrity - HIGHLY recommended! read more

REIG showed up at our Condo building and shut of the water to all units without giving any notice to any tenants or owners. In addition, per the City of San Diego Code Enforcement they did not pull any permits to do any work. Doesn't sound very Christian to me. read more

After my review, we were contacted by Brian from REIG and he offered to fix many of the issues. Almost all of the agreed upon projects are complete, except for the closet doors, which they had to special order for us. We do appreciate their willingness to fix the issues caused by their workmanship. They were respectful and willing to make things right. Its unfortunate that we had to deal with all of this in the first place; the number of hours, time, and money that we have had to spend "fixing" things, should not have happened on a newly remodeled/renovated home, but again we are very grateful that they are making things right at this point. read more

I have closed several transactions with REIG and I cannot say enough about their professionalism, the quality of the work, and their true desire to close every transaction with buyers and sellers happy with how things went with their sale or purchase. I was recently holding a home open REIG had renovated, and the buyer of a home that REIG had previously renovated a few blocks away stopped by while walking their dogs to say hi and see the newest renovation. Those buyers of "Garden Lane" told me they could not be happier with their home, that everything about it was perfect. Both husband and wife work long hours in the medical field and did not have the time or desire to work on a house. Buying a fully renovated home in an awesome neighborhood was what they had wanted and it was what they got. We talked for several minutes while walking through the open house, and I could see that these people love the work REIG does, were very complimentary about the newest remodel, and REALLY LOVE their home. read more

I have worked with REIG on a couple transactions and everyone involved was phenomenal! From start to finish the communication and dedication to the transactions was done with the utmost integrity. I have worked with a hand full of other investors and it was a roller coaster...With REIG their word was their word. They didn't try to change terms or pricing once they were in. We set the terms in the beginning and once agreed that's how they stayed. I wish I can say that with all my investor transactions. The work on the home (s) that REIG did was also done with integrity. They did not do any short cuts or mask over any problems. They even staged the house beautifully! Going back to integrity for a moment...I have called REIG for an inside scoop on properties that I had before they were listed actively and they have actually said no it wouldn't work for them. What investor does that?? REIG does! If they know the numbers and what needs to be done to the home to really transform it correctly don't match they will let you know it won't work. I love that about them. Of course that makes me want to work with them even more! A little side note for my Realtors out their...If you haven't worked with REIG...Your missing out! read more

We bought a home from REIG mid-2016. It was a fully renovated fixer upper home. My wife and I felt their design and renovation, in the main areas, were done pretty well. In some areas only the minimum necessary work was done and the materials were not necessarily top notch but that is the nature of the renovation/flip business. We did have a couple of issues that surfaced as a result of the inspections. The company either remedied the problem with their crew by redoing the work or repairing the problem or by offering monetary solutions when we wanted to use our own resources. I dealt with Brian for the most part although their managers/supervisors were also involved when it came to the details. The company quickly replaced a supervisor when the tasks were not getting done expeditiously. REIG tried to do things by the book and even removed numerous trees from the property that were in violation of the view covenant the neighborhood had. We felt that the company was fair to work with and tried to achieve a win/win outcome. read more

I first met Patrick and Brian, the co-founders of REIG, in 2012, and from the very beginning their primary focus was on doing "what was right" over just trying to make a profit. In my experience as a real estate broker, Realtor, and investor I have represented many individuals, and companies, wanting to "flip" properties. REIG, in my opinion, has redefined the residential "flipping" industry. Personally, as a Realtor, I hate the word "flip" it implies a cavalier approach to purchasing, updating, and selling a home with a focus on profit first. REIG truly leads with a People first approach & goes above & beyond to make things right for the customers who purchase one of their projects, so I feel "renovation for resale" may be a better definition. It is not typical that you will find a company that stands behind their work after the sale of an investment property like REIG does. I have witnessed them meeting with home buyers, and sellers, to overcome challenges and make certain people are treated very fairly. While I have read a couple of the negative reviews, I have to wonder if those people had a professional home inspection completed and their concerns addressed at that time? Did they reach out directly to their quality control manager for help? The home resale industry is far different than purchasing a newly constructed home with warranties but From my experience I have seen REIG's team take ownership of items in need of repair and step up to make sure the correction is made. It makes me sick to see someone refer to them as "cons", and question their integrity because as I mentioned, it has been my experience that one of their core values is to do whatever it takes to make the situation right. read more
