Sensory Link Pediatric Therapy is the best place in our area for occupational, speech, and physical therapy for kids with a wide variety of needs. The owner is an occupational therapist (OT) who treats kids at this location. She is personally invested in the success of the business and the children that she treats. We've been seeing an OT here since they opened over four years ago. A few years ago we added speech. They emphasize sensory input to help regulate and get children back in sync. They have several excellent feeding therapists for children that have trouble eating certain textures, moving food within their mouth, swallowing, gagging, or aversions to certain types of food. They are also excellent at helping children with hand writing and use the Hand Writing Without Tears system. Every employee here loves kids & their job. They work hard to personalize services to help each child to achieve their maximum potential in life and to close the gap on developmental delays as quickly as possible. Their new location is in a bright, beautiful, eco-friendly building with lots of room for the kids to run, jump and have sensory fun. They have a large waiting area with lots of toys to play with while the children wait and to keep siblings busy during the appointment. I noticed lately that many of the children like to stay after their appointment to play in the waiting area a little longer. This place is fun, professional, and effective. We love Sensory Link!!

After visiting quite a few facilities, we chose Artis. It is bright and clean. The staff are friendly, caring and understand how to care for dementia patients. Although it is a secure facility, it doesn't have a "locked in" feel. My father has been at Artis for two months now. I cannot begin to express my gratitude to the entire staff. They treat my dad like family. They call him by name. They genuinely care about him. He is clean. His room is clean. He participates in activities like exercise class, bingo, noodle ball, movies and more. He is happy and comfortable. No, it isn't home. But I feel that it is as close to home as it can possibly be. I know he is safe. I know he is cared for. I know he will not wander away. Thank you to every single member of the Artis staff.

Meadowcrest immediately felt right. The building needs some updates, but the real gem is the staff. The therapy staff is outstanding! They go above and beyond for their patients. And the nursing staff knows their patients better than any facility I have seen. There are lots of activities for residents with a very cheerful activities staff. And the administration was always happy to talk about issues. We were certainly satisfied with the care my mother got while she was there!

Mom was admitted to Meadowcrest one week ago. I will update this review after more time has…read moretranspired, but so far we are fairly happy. The facility is clean and doesn't smell, other than an occasional and brief "shit" smell which is unavoidable. The beds are nice with small assistance rails on the sides with buttons to raise and lower the head and feet. The Staff is mostly very nice. We had a Care Meeting 2 days after her arrival and I was able to meet everyone. The Physical Therapists I have met (Patty and Chris) are good and I feel mom is making fairly good progress. Having a friendly staff that do not talk "down" to mom is extremely important and the primary reason for the 4 stars. The biggest downside so far is the food. There is a lot of starch and not much vegetables or protein. Yesterday for lunch she had about a 2 ounce "pork loin" with "BBQ sauce" that looked like ketchup. Buttered noodles, green peas, white bread and margarine, with mandarin orange slices for dessert. I consider peas to be a starch, not a vegetable. She had peas and potatoes the day before with about a 4 ounce chicken breast. This should not meet the standards for a nutritious meal. Leafy greens and cruciferous veggies are so important to good health! In the evenings, they wheel around a snack cart with cages of chips/Cheetos/Doritos. Just what people need-junk food! If folks want junk, let their kids bring it to them. Don't serve it! Another downside is the rooms are so small, there is not enough room to have a comfortable chair to sit in, so mom sits in a wheelchair all day. There is only one dresser for 2 beds so each person gets 2 small drawers. Not enough for a week's worth of clothes and laundry is only done once per week. Lastly, the long-term care rooms are identical to the skilled nursing so you can't bring in something from home to make it a little more cozy. Also the common areas-dining room and lounges are pretty plain, not very nicely decorated. Why 4 stars after these complaints? Because I strongly believe the friendliness and attitude of the staff are way more important. Second would be food quality.
