Found out that speech therapists get an average of $75.00 per hour so Amedisys made roughly $623.00 per session for filing with Medicare. The kicker is the medical reports in my file. My face was only slightly affected with a slight droop and very slight drooling, and minimal speech impairment, yet they made me out to have garbled speech, that I was severely incontinent, scared to leave my apartment, needed help to bathe and go to the bathroom, and many other numerous false statements. I fully believe my records are mixed up with another patient. The therapist was 8-1/2 months pregnant and I believe her to have been under a lot of stress. I got a copy of them, made corrections to them, sent them back with a request to fix them and they have refused to do so. I am filing a complaint with both Medicare and US Dept of Health and Human Services. Will never use them again!!!!

I was very skeptical when I first walked into their office. I mean, I'd already done this how many times?! Now, three months down the road, I could not be more grateful to Jake at Horizon. He didn't just do some stretches, pop a TENS unit on me and send me out the door. He tried many different therapies and devices until we found what worked for my neck pain. When it came time to get a home unit for me to continue the work on my own, he worked his butt off to get everything squared away before the end of the year so that it would be completely covered by my insurance. I will never be able to put into words how grateful I am to have my normal life back without constant pain getting in the way. I will never go or recommend anywhere else again!
