Upon entering there's a small foyer, restrooms and an area that was set up for children to play in while we were having our church service. They even bought in a cater to serve us after service. She was sold on the place and Shai's pleasant attitude and willingness to work with her and her fiancée's vision for the reception. Her reception was delayed due to covid, Shai left, and she had to work with new management/coordinator (Steve). Steve made it known that he did not like working wedding receptions and seemed to blame Shai that there were wedding receptions in the facility. He mentioned this to me as we were setting up the day before our daughter's big day. I had an inkling prior to the day that he was not going to be pleasant to work with based on conversations my daughter had with him to confirm everything. She was disappointed he replaced Shai. She was told she could not do this or that (no potted plants on the floor, no lighting effects on walls - she had to hire someone else to do this) and they had already taken their $5000 deposit. The venue offers use of rectangular tables, but my daughter wanted to have both round and rectangular, so she rented additional round tables. As we started to set up the tables, I asked him where the rest of the rectangular tables were because he only had 5 on a cart ready for set up. He proceeded to tell me he didn't know how many were needed, he said he wasn't told. I responded back, what do you mean you weren't told, you provided the layout on pdf that my daughter shared with the rest of us to use for set up! We, not him, then had to get the rest of the tables from the kitchen area after he told us where to get them. Another uncalled for frustration was table rental pick up. Steve told my daughter that the tables and chairs had to be removed from the floor after party and set aside in the pick up area so the table/chair rental folks could pick them up the following Sunday morning. This was fine, my daughter made arrangements to hire a cleanup team to do this. Two days before the event, the table/chair rental company called Steve to confirm drop off and pick up, Steve then tells the table/chair rental company that they had to pick up the tables and chairs Saturday night. Hello Steve! The wedding reception contract was from 5pm Saturday - 12 midnight! So had to deal with this. There were many little things, no effort at all was made by him to offer information. Our daughter's wedding coordinator was not happy with his lack of effort to help. Luckily, everything fell into place and the celebration was a success. The venue is unique and has so much potential. But there were just so many negative comments made by him that it is not worth to time and energy to have to deal with.He was not helpful, not conscientious, had bad attitude. Lazy. Too bad because the venue is really awesome and he represents the place.

(Also the wall paper was replaced and the carpet was going to be replaced. But I thought it looked fine and clean.) The clerk/receptionist Rose was nice, and very helpful and friendly. The conference rooms were nice and roomy. However....I did have an issue with thier phone system. Now I was expecting issues; in IT you have to be prepared for speedbumps. Rose called a property manager (didn't catch a name) who came over partly for the phone and partly there was a issue with the partiotion that seperated conference room A and B. My issue was this.....she seemed like she was either really busy or just didn't want to be there. Yes it was close to 5, I understand. But when she was the point of contact for the phone guy, and she was only on site for like 10 minutes.....I guess it would have been nice for her to see if my issue got rectified. So Rose had called a super to come over and help her, which he did. However, I was waiting for her to get down with that (in her defense she did have a meeting scheduled that night) but was told by the other blonde manager that he was going to be done by the end of the night. Dislike. Fortunately, the super knew who I needed to call, and after following his instruction, the phone still didn't work. But thats ok, meeting him in the AM to get it going. (which hopefully gets done in the 30 minute window we are given.) (Shrug) Very clean, kitchen area with vending machines, and clean bathrooms. The place was very nice. Will take pics when I can.

Instead, Northville Square occupies a lovely selection of buildings downtown all focused upon a main interior plaza. The windows fronting the sidewalk really do not hint at how much is buried deep within the recesses of heritage facades preserved charmingly to maintain the air of the historic downtown. I rather love the concept, and it's one way to protect old buildings while repurposing them. Are you paying attention to me, developers of Detroit who so love to rip down the city's magnificent architecture for another bland big box monstrosity? Northville Square contains an eclectic variety of shops and services, restaurants, and an ice creamery I have yet to try due to the cool weather and full tummy when I visited. Popping in really gives an idea how large the complex is, and how many little boutiques and offices are tucked away. There is at least one restaurant in there, but since I wasn't paying close attention while hunting for a gift, I am afraid my awareness was limited at best. Instead, enjoy the bright architecture and the many splendid items all around. All sorts of springtime activities are advertised on posters and flyers, ranging from art classes to yoga and local performances targeting children, teens, and adults. I love the community emphasis and promoting the town and its businesses are well in effect.

The first just to see what the mall was about; the second, for Northville's "First Friday Art Walk" event. It is pretty empty in there, which is really surprising!! It's beautiful in there. They have two sports bars, a Spinergy (spinnig/cycling) class, a Yoga/Pilates business, a dance studio, an Ice Cream shop, a retail boutique (soon to be another one as well) Cari Cash's store, and a wealth management business. I don't think a lot of people know about this place, which is really sad!! I think a coffee shop is about to open there. But they definitely need more business there for the future. Go visit!! :)

This is a very nicely renovated mansion turned into a woman's club. Like a late 1800's gentleman's club, only for women. There is a locker room/workout room/nursing area, but I did not see them because I am not a woman. They have lectures and groups within the club. They have a full kitchen, and the usual food on offer seemed like you would expect at a starbucks or better. They have drinks, coffee, and wine. The wine was higher end. And they use an ordering app so members at different rooms of the club can order easily. Lots of rooms. Dining and lecture rooms, lounge and club type rooms, conference rooms. A large event room. All really nice. There are smaller serving bars on the second and third floors. Depending on age, annual membership is 600 or 1200 dollars. It looked great. Maybe it could have used more restrooms, but that is sort of reaching for something negative to say.
