I have been a region customer for 20 plus years. Very good service always. If you have a problem they take care of you immediately.

The teller here today (9/8/20) is so rude! Ugh. Don't work in an industry where you have to deal with people if you don't like people!

La Capitol Federal Credit Union

La Capitol Federal Credit Union

Everything with LaCapitol is difficult and awkward. Compared to other banks, their online banking…read moreis clunky and not intuitive. Every time I make a payment on my loan, I call them just to make sure it's been done correctly. I can't get the local branch on the phone; I always get someone in Baton Rouge who has very weak people skills and I often feel like I am getting reprimanded for not understanding their system. Business checking charges a high monthly fee and a wire transfer fee. When I signed up for business checking, the guy at the branch sounded like he was trying to talk me out of it. As soon as I can get this loan paid off and all of my business assets moved, I will be changing banks.

I've been a member of La Capitol Federal Credit Union for over 21 years, but it looks as though…read morethat relationship will be ending this week. I reached out to LACAP via phone on 5/8/24. I spoke with Lashawndra Robertson. The purpose of my call was three-fold: 1. To inform LACAP of a change of address ( I had moved out of state ) 2. To make sure that LACAP had not yet sent my new debit card to take the place of an expiring one to my old address. 3. To determine when a new card would be sent to my new address, to take the place of the expiring one. What's really offensive here is that I was told, emphatically, that no new card had been sent to my old address. I was further told that new cards would be sent out near the end of the month that they expire in (May). I was able to change my address, and was once again assured that my new bank card would arrive in late May. Flash forward to today, my card which expires in 2 days has not seen a replacement arrive yet. I called LACAP to speak about this, and was quickly told that a REPLACEMENT CARD WAS SENT OUT IN APRIL, to the old address. This is in direct contradiction to the communication that occurred on 5/8. On 5/8 I was told specifically and emphatically that no replacement card had been sent out yet... but today I learned that was an outright lie. A lie that could have exposed me to fraud for the entirety of almost 2 months now given there is a bank card of mine somewhere out there when I was told the exact opposite. It feels like more than just incompetence or oversight, it feels like an intentional lie. I was further told that I could order an expedited card at a cost that I would be responsible for and I would have to be present in my home for a 2-3 day period to receive the card and sign for it upon arrival or that it would be returned. I've asked to speak to a supervisor/manager, and was told a couple of hours ago someone would reach out. Must be a pretty busy Wednesday over there, as I've not yet received the courtesy of a call back. I can not strongly enough reverse an endorsement of a bank that I enjoyed using for over the last 20 years. My recent experience with LACAP is at a minimum, one fraught with a frightening level of incompetence and at the other possible end, one where I was intentionally lied to about a matter that could have exposed me to great financial hardship. Rather than continue to deal with this 3rd world buffoonery, I'll be moving over to a new bank today. I recommend that current and potential LACAP members do the same.

So, my husband and I opened a business account and personal account when he started his business. We have been very pleased and highly recommend Progressive Bank to others.

My wife banks here for her job and since she's the big boss sometimes she is to busy to do daily…read moredeposits. If I visit her office than sometimes she suckers me into doing her errands. This bank is close to my house, so I pick it for doing deposits. It doesn't matter if I go in or drive-thru commercial line it's always a twenty minute minimum wait for transactions to be complete. I swear they hate doing multiple deposits or making change for businesses. I've seen the staff be nice to personal banking customers--- why don't I get that service. They have dog treats and candy for those kids and fur children that go thru the lines with parents...... I've never been offered anything! I deposit $3,000-$4,000 or more frequently and I would think I would be the customer they want. We just moved to West Monroe a few months ago and have been looking for a new bank, but you can bet after how they treat me as a business patron they won't be getting my personal business. Only reason they don't get one star is because the bank is super clean, nicely remodeled and they have wall street tickers I can keep track of my stocks while waiting.
