I sent out bills, and now the "back office" placed a 14 day hold on the check!!! 14 days!!!! Funny, my checks seem to go through in a matter of 2 to 3 days!!! We are closing all our accounts as is my business partner!! IN MY OPINION, Don't walk but RUN away from this Canadian bank!!!!

I was happy with them but they got too big and you did not have that home town feel or care about maintaining its business with established customer. At Brannen Bank I am always greeted by name and each time I needed something like a loan or money exchanged for travel it was explained what the cost was going to be and I was given all my options. All banks have policies as a customer you need to know what they are.

The robotic answer to EVERYTHING is, "we don't do that" "We are a conservative bank" Well, yes...when you walk in the branch office, it feels like you are back in the 80's. Old furniture you would see in a school cafeteria, dirty carpet, a woman who won't let you finish a sentence before she interrupts...terrible customer service. The fifth time I entered the info I was cut off. You are limited to 90 days review of your banking history making verification of records impossible. If you go in person, the staff is wonderful and should get five stars, but you can't reach them directly even in the drive through--which links to Tampa operators. They took money out of my daughter's account when I made a withdrawal, due to similar names. This wouldn't happen if I was speaking to an Inverness worker.

In November of 2017, I contacted Brannen Bank of Inverness,, Spoke to Connie, the Loan officer,…read more She was Very Polite and Professional,,, I let her know I was buying a Home, and had borrowed 25,000 that needed to be repaid ASAP due to the Interest, So the Quicker our closing,, The Better for Me. She informed me that It would help to open my Checking account with them, No problem ,, so I did. I knew the house would appraise for at least 32,000,, was Told no Problem, I let her know when The closing was, and Would have all my Paper work ready. We disscussed, what I wanted for my Pymt, which wasn't a problem,,, I closed the in Dec, and the next day, met again with Connie. Everything in order, all my Info, Was here. process was to begin, this was near the 9 of Dec. The middle of Dec, I called,, for update,, was Told it's a Process,,,, Now it's the End of Dec,, No News,, Jan 2018, called Left message, No response,, around Jan 9th, left mess, no response,, Called again, finally,, Was told it's a Process. Around the 15 th, called Left message, no return call, another day, another Message, after numerous messages, and no return call, I had to just show up ,looking for answers, still nothing, so I finally started leaving Hand written notes with Tellers to personally hand them to Connie. Got a call, ,,it's a process,,, Now its the 18th of January, still have Not Recieved any Answers as to when our closing is. But was told Appraisal was ordered, all most 3 months later,, Finally, Jan 26, The Appraisal was completed. Came in ,was good, Now a Date for closing,, I Thought. No,, February,, another long month, with my Interest accurring. This is Not what I expected at all.. I'm too far into it too cancel,,, So,,Finally the Beginning of March, a Closing date. Closed around the 2nd week of March. But it wasn't what we Discussed as Far as monthly Payments, or The length of the Loan. But I took it. I did cancel my Bank Checking account after my Experience. Fast forward March of 2019,,, I thought I would do a refi to lower my pymnts, Went to a Mortgage company, Inspire of Inverness,, Not a good experience. So I called Brannen, to see about a refi. I spoke too Brenda,,, after 5 days, I got my response,,,,,,, I never was late, always paid more than recommended pymt. After she Disscussed it with Her Boss,,,, Was told No,, Nothing they can do. I said,,,You are the Lender, I'm not asking for cash, just a few more yrs to help lower my pymt.,,I was told No,, Thank you good bye. I was shocked, But learned a Great Lesson. Home Town Banks are only good if you Grew up in the Town. But My Experience with Brannen is Not Good. I will continue to make my pymts plus extra interest, just to pay it off early. Every Bank Teller I dealt with was Very Nice,, Polite,, and Helpful,, The Loan Officers,, well,,,, My outcome says it all. Please do your Homework before Dealing with Brannen Bank.
