I just got mine done here today. When the gel accidentally falls on your gums, which is inevitable, it BURNS SO BAD. Immediately after finishing, my teeth were so painfully sensitive. Just air hitting my teeth made me double over in pain & almost cry. Wish I hadn't done it, not worth this horrible tooth pain. I don't notice a huge difference, it's minimal. I should have stuck to safe home remedies for whitening, like coconut oil pulling, tumeric, baking soda, etc.

I wasn't going to cancel overall, I just didn't want this on my credit report since I was purchasing a new vehicle and was going to get the package under my mother's credit instead. I called and the manager agreed to process the refund and we set the appointment for my mom to go instead. Before my mom's appointment, I get a call from the same manager and she tells me they denied my refund request until my mom applies for credit. At this point I felt like I was getting blackmailed. When I questioned the integrity of this she basically said to take it up with customer service if I don't like it since the contract is "non-refundable" (mind you I have not gotten my first laser service yet.) So I did exactly what she said and the customer resolution lady was shocked they blackmailed me and helped me resolve the refund. If they would have acted in good faith they still would have had a paying customer.

Honestly, I always feel glared at with this look of "why are you here" from the girls at the front desk. Their window also makes it incredibly difficult to talk to /hear them. It's never "how can we help you today?" it's always just, "yes?" when I walk in. I'm not sure if they're like that with everyone, or if it's because I'm a male, but honestly, if it was that the actual people doing my treatment were amazing, I'd be giving them a lower rating because I always feel unwelcome walking in. Extremely Disappointed - Terrible Experience with the Mother's Day Package…read more I purchased the Full-Time Mom Mother's Day package for my wife at Avalon Spa and Salon, expecting a relaxing and luxurious experience. What we got instead was a nightmare. The package included an Aromatherapy Massage, Shellac Nails, Avalon Pedicure, and "The Finale" (a conditioning treatment, shampoo, haircut, and blow-dry style). However, when my wife arrived for her scheduled appointment, she was told she was only scheduled for a haircut. How does a full spa package get reduced to just a haircut? Even worse, the haircut was so poorly done that she had to return a second time to try and fix it -- and her hair was still damaged. She has not received the aromatherapy massage to this day, and no one has followed up to reschedule or offer a solution. The nails were also a disaster. She said they looked unprofessional and believes the technicians may not be properly trained. When she tried to speak to a manager about all of this, she was told there was no manager available. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences we've ever had. For a place that advertises itself as a luxury spa, this was anything but. Unprofessional, disorganized, and a complete letdown. I absolutely do not recommend Avalon Spa and Salon.
