My husband & I are Canadian but we own a unit on the 2nd floor. So this is our home away from home. Because of covid we were unable to check in on our place, however now that we can, I forgot how much I missed it!! Staff are GREAT & altho like most places not everything is perfect, we enjoy it. Overall I am pleased with the bldg. We bought our unit in 2014 or 2015 & just luv coming to Vegas to shop/eat & relax by our pool. There is a gym & minutes away from the strip. Can't wait to come back!

A night view of the strip hotels.

This building has a lot of history. Staff, guards, and homeowners are super nice and helpful. It's also dog friendly and they upkeep the property very clean. We've had monthly gatherings before covid 19 happened. The gatherings were always fun and had been a great way to meet the neighbors. It's a fairly quiet and respectful community.

We've really enjoyed our time here, and our experience with the new team has been great. Lashonda and Leasing Manager Martin were amazing throughout the whole transfer. They were very helpful, explained everything to us, and made sure everything went smoothly. We did have a few maintenance issues when we moved into the new apartment, but honestly, they were taken care of right away. Martin, the Maintenance Manager, and his team have been fantastic. They are friendly, responsive, and really seem to care about taking care of the residents. Parts and replacement appliances were ordered without any hesitation, and the issues were handled in a reasonable amount of time. It's been nice seeing the changes with the new team, and I'm really happy with how things are going. We chose to stay here even though we downsized, and I'm glad we did. We're looking forward to seeing all the improvements and changes coming to Ely at the Gramercy! Thank you to Lashonda, Martin, and the entire team for making our transition so easy!

I rolled up being 1st time here on a Friday late afternoon. I see there's like 5 valet guys just standing around in a group not doing jack. There's nobody behind me, guy that greeted me is telling me I'm blocking the entrance and if I want to valet I need to pull over to a specific spot. So immediately he's already giving me crap. Once he directed me where to "park" He's grilling me the exact name and unit # of the resident. Honestly I don't know my friend that well and forgot the exact unit other than the floor #. The signals are crap underground and he's asking me to call. Frustrated I told him screw it I'll park elsewhere. All I had to do is turn around the corner for Crystal shops valet. Much nicer and friendly staff there. I stay away from parking at Veer if you can.

I initally moved to a brownstone on 3rd street and LOVED IT…read more I loved having an exterior entrance to walk my dogs, i loved the layout of the apartment - it felt like a house with the convenience of an apartment. The location of this place cannot be beat. I moved upstairs right when the covid lockdpwn stupidity started. I am a single woman and decided street level.might not be wise during what I fully expected to turn into the riots after lockdown. Fortunately, I overreactied. Metro is awesome. There were a couple of other issues that management was quick to handle but those issues were ultimately why I moved upstairs. So now I am on a higher floor and I love it - for different reasons. It is more like living in an apartment, which is not a bonus, but i have a better view and a more secure feeling without the exterior door. Vegas homeless issues were mild by comparison to California when i moved in and then got MUCH better after a couple of months - that was until covid. Since the lockdown it is like night of the living dead outside. Juhl has a security patrol and I normally feel pretty safe, but I have encountered more than a few screamers, shi++y pants, smoked out meth-heads. Mostly they shuffle past, i am always friendly and usually they are too - One can frequently see them taking a dump next to the building or across the street. I feel bad for staff, but they seem to stay on top of cleaning. Just some of the glories of downtown living. Overall it is still worth it. I love the location and an occasional zombie is not a big deal. The Juhl itself is well maintained. The staff is amazing. They have stayed consistent without a lot of turnover- which says something about management. The location is PERFECT. Walking distance to anything you want to do. Parking is safe and the building is secure. The pool and gym are nice. The pool was just redone and looks amazing. The gym - I'm not gonna lie - I haven't seen it since the idiotic lockdown because we have to make appointments. I absolutely love living down here. Watching bum fights from the balcony has just been a bonus. The pooping is far less than anything I saw in LA and the outdoor-living-set are generally not an issue.

There is a woman working the front desk claiming her name is Brigitte or Bridgette I believe, I'm…read morenot sure since she answered with a different name at first. She is clearly spiteful, takes no accountability and made me wait over an hour on moving day on purpose 5 days AFTER scheduling my move, blamed it on "someone else who was there" and not allowing me to pay the moving deposit day-of. She claimed it's first come first serve but contradicted herself by saying but that also they need 5 days notice in advance, which I actually did provide. To make matters worse, she called IVY, the director of the HOA, in front of me, she did not admit fault, tried to say I was a "last minute move", and when I tried to speak she cut me off as if she didn't want Ivy to hear her mistake. Disrespectful and sketchy. At the expense of my already stressful move. That woman should not work there with the attitude she has. Lied to me the entire time and even suggested the person before me should have an "extension" even though the times for move ins are stated clearly, and it was almost an hour past their scheduled time. Why would she seven suggest that? She tried to gaslight me and I am in fact going to contact Ivy or would like her to contact me so I can actually formally complain because it seems this employee skates by doing the bare minimum on a power trip. Does she not realize our money pays her bills!? EXTREMELY disappointed. she even used Aphrodite's name even though she is actually one of the good ones there & was promoted (deservingly). Even the patrol guys at night are wonderful & helpful. But as far as that "Brigitte" woman I had to deal with, beyond unacceptable. I held my tongue since I had to move and she was not making it easy at all, but I will definitely contact the HOA regarding this. A phone number response would be appreciated, since the emails never seem to reach Ivy or anyone with actual power to fix this. I'd like to add that the 520$ deposit fee is absurd since they say you need to wait 10 days (for what?) and they do not refund you the extra 20$ either. And this is the only option to pay to move in or out. It is outrageous. Thanks.
