Note this review is strictly for the valet staff. I don't know if it's because I'm NOT a resident and this is how they treat guest or they just don't like me or what. Who knows. I rolled up being 1st time here on a Friday late afternoon. I see there's like 5 valet guys just standing around in a group not doing jack. There's nobody behind me, guy that greeted me is telling me I'm blocking the entrance and if I want to valet I need to pull over to a specific spot. So immediately he's already giving me crap. Once he directed me where to "park" He's grilling me the exact name and unit # of the resident. Honestly I don't know my friend that well and forgot the exact unit other than the floor #. The signals are crap underground and he's asking me to call. Frustrated I told him screw it I'll park elsewhere. All I had to do is turn around the corner for Crystal shops valet. Much nicer and friendly staff there. I stay away from parking at Veer if you can. read more

I love Vegas so much, I come to my condominium to ease out and relax. The view of planet Hollywood, aria, Paris, cosmopolitan, Caesars palace, treasure island, Excalibur, ballys, the trump tower and linq is quiet impressive. I'm half way up this 37 floor building and the views are better than living by the beach. You get access to free drinks like hot chocolate, coffee of all sorts and tea. There is a hallway at the top that brings you to three different doors. The first door opens up to a gym, second a coffee/drink/ pool table/ TV room and third pool/spa access. There is valet to parking for residents only, with very high security and wealthy people who drive over the top luxurious cars like Bentley, rolls royce, Ferrari, Porsche, lamborghini, Aston Martin, Maserati and mercedes Benz. The people dress as if they are billionaires/ millionaires and you feel so luxurious. The convenience of it being in the middle of the strip of Las Vegas is just a wonderful dream. You can literally walk everywhere on the strip and have no problem getting around. You see all the pretty lights of Las Vegas and during the fourth of July are fireworks that go off on top of all the hotels. I would highly recommend to rent out a room for vacation if you love the atmosphere of Las Vegas. Planet Hollywood is one of my favorite places to shop and it is across the street. You get to walk around crystals down below as well. read more

I have never lived in a high rise and being on the 34th floor is a new experience. The Veer is amazing! The roof top is awesome. The dog park is adorable. Right on the strip! Aria right next door and it's my favorite place in Las VI just moved in here but until now everything is great. I sleep so good here, nice and quiet. I don't like there's no self park but valet only. Also I noticed a lot of teenagers and they like to push all buttons in the elevator, for me that's very annoying coming from so high up Update: After being here a week, I enjoy it here much but there's a few things I dislike about this place and for that reason I'm going from 5 to 3 stars: - valet only: I prefer to park myself so I don't have to wait even I call in advance, and I don't have to adjust my seat every single time - also it gets crowded so you have to wait sometimes - NO PHONE signal and it drives me CRAZY! First thing you need to do in this building is set up WiFi! In modern days I can't live without a signal!:) - Traffic on the strip - it takes me 10min sometimes to just get out and around to corner to leave the strip or to get home - just around Aria the traffic is so annoying - I can't figure out how to turn on the sauna so I use steam room only - Shower water pressure both in my unit as in the gym showers, it's worse than hotels! - my blinds are closed at all times because I face the other building and we just look into each other's homes, not sure why they didn't opt for mirror glass... - again: NO PHONE SIGNAL it's driving me crazy! WOW. Condos smack dab in the middle of the heart of Las Vegas Blvd; IN City Center's property; NEAR the trendy Cosmo, and ACROSS shopping at Planet Hollywood. This is real estate's best bet: location location LOCATION. Even more better than their location are their amenities. It's own valet, pool (on the rooftop), gym, movie theatre and pool tables. This place is great for bbq and parties during the summer. Yippeeee, I can't wait...HURRY, SUMMER, HURRY Also, have to mentions the RIDICULOUS view of the strip from the rooftop =) Kinda makes you fall in love with Vegas all over again. read more

I lived at Veer for my very first year in Vegas. Overall I had a wonderful experience and it's always cool to tell people "I lived on the strip". If you're like most new residents to this town you've only seen the strip prior to moving here. That being said, Veer was perfect for a newbie like me because it allowed me to slowly explore the city from outside of the strip at my own pace. I could go on and on, so I'll just list my main pros and cons of living here: PROS - I could walk to work, and a tank of gas in my car could last almost a month! - The pool/workout/rec rooms are on the rooftop, making it a must see for any guests, in fact it was the tipping point in deciding to live here. - Staff is very friendly, after a few weeks all the valet knew my car right when I walked up. Security and concierges were always very nice and approachable. - My highest power bill was $20, normally it was only in the $10 range. CONS - After awhile the strip gets to be too much. - Pain in the butt to get your car from valet and make a run to the grocery store. Not to mention if they close the strip for any reason, you're locked in. - I hate treadmills, but going for a morning run is a pain in the butt. - Not a lot of storage space in the unit, I had to tuck my golf clubs and vacuum in a small corner. - With homes so cheap, you can get a lot more space for the price. (I know: location, location, location!) There was nothing terrible about Veer, but I love where I live now, when I want my car I don't have to call down for it nor do I wait for an elevator to go upstairs. Yes I have a longer commute now, but I use that opportunity to listen to the radio and catch-up on current events. I also pass a grocery store on my way home too :) read more

The staff and valet are all very nice and professional. You feel welcome. The residents that you do run into, it's pretty quiet, are professionals and have been friendly. Well it's interesting the apartments are advertised as condos but many are rented out . The price for the apartments are overpriced by at least 40% based on the price for a rental . A one bedroom rents for $3000 on a high floor sometimes $2500 on a lower floor and yet the asking price is from $550,000 to 850,000 for a one bedroom with $1200 in hoa and taxes. So you only make about $1800 a month if you buy a one bedroom for $700,000 . Take away the rental fee and you make about $18,000 on a $700,000 investment or 2% if it takes a month to rent out. One of my coworker/friend lives here with her husband so I've been over here a few times. Ummmm WOW. WOW, WOW, WOW. Gorgeous views from every angle. I love the pool area (there are two, one on each tower's 37th floors) with the huge outdoor kitchens and hot tubs. Although I don't like the utilitarian concrete modern design of the place, this place is so swank. My favorite area is the residential lounge with the big screen and pool table and movie viewing room. We had a 4th of July party in here and the views were great for viewing fireworks over the valley. The gym is spectacular with a sauna and a steam room in the locker room. As for the condos, my friend lives in a studio for a whopping discounted price of $900 because her husband works for City Center. They usually go for $1,400 and it is SO tiny. My very large dorm room was only slightly smaller than this. The places come furnished which is an upside, and the amenities are great, but they should be for the astronomical prices they charge (In Vegas, you could get something really huge for $1,400/month because our housing market is trashed.) Desk guys are nice and were able to send people up in a quick second to help us navigate the TV systems upstairs and concierge got me band-aids when I cut open my finger upstairs on a food container. I'm pretty sure any other condo front desk people would have laughed if we had called for a band-aid. Security is great here, you have to have a key fob to get in or use the elevators or get into anything on the 37th floor. That's great so you don't have crazies wandering in from outside. Valet is a breeze and they're very friendly. It's so convenient to just drive from Harmon, crossing LV Blvd. right into the entrance for Aria/Crystals/Veer's parking garages. If I was having to live in the dorms at UNLV, I'd for sure just get a place here because the dorms are more expensive than a studio here. This place is super swank. read more

Oh my goodness what is that magnified yet terrifying tuning noise that continuously rang throughout the weekend from 4am to 6am in the morning?!?!! My goodness!! But besides thats, the Veer Towers is great! Three full bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and everything was so sleek modern, I loved the wide open space windows that not only gave us the view of Marquee Day Club, but the Bellagio water show and Paris' Eiffel Tower, making it a one spectacular view. We had a flat on the 27th floor which was a rented flat to guests. I will note that I was a little taken back that a blow dryer was no where to be found, simply because, well, any rented flat or a hotel I've stayed at provided that particular vanity amenity. Thank goodness that I did pack one in hand ahead of time, otherwise! I loved that the kitchen was large and spacious, and I was even surprised there had a Bodrum french coffee press, a true plus! The Veer Towers is located in the City Center next to the Aria and Cosmopolitan. As I had mentioned above regarding the eerie tuning nose, apparently, the Veer Towers is known for this misfortune and just wasn't constructed correctly. The tuning is caused by the high winds that blow through the towers next to the other hotels, but The Veer seemed to get hit the most with the strenuous tune. But I kid you not regarding that loud tuning noise, I was seriously terrified that evening and I felt like we had UFO's around us, that's how intense it was. However, besides the noisy ruckus, I loved it, and would love to stay here again, just hopefully under a much windless weekend x read more

Worst residence I've ever had! The only thing going for place is the location on the strip. Everything else is below average. In the 800 sq ft condos, the kitchen counter space is extremely limited and our unit has an old dirty carpet that was never replaced. What's also really weird about this place is that there are absolutely no windows to open - not even a crack. So you'll never ever get fresh air in your unit if you live here, which isn't healthy. We're totally miserable living here and it's really overpriced to top it off. This place is a mess and we can't wait to get out! read more

I lived in the west tower for 1 year. Living here is a double edged sword. It has an amazing view and it is close to everything....accept a grocery store. The hustle and bustle of the strip proved to be too much to handle for me on an every day basis. It was convenient on weekends and when friends would be visiting town. But having to deal with the never ending traffic and the endless screams of "WWOOOO- VEGAS" got old really quick. I moved in here about 3 months ago. I stayed in numerous hotels in Las Vegas to research the "it" place. I saw CityCenter from the taxi cab coming into Vegas and felt immediately that I wanted to be here; now I'm here. If you want to be in the center of it all in Vegas, CityCenter (Veer Towers as part of the CityCenter project) lives up to its billing. Swanky is the right word. Expensive sports cars inundate valet parking. The valet staff is top notch. The concierge service is top notch as well. They are protective of your privacy, always calling to make sure a guest is actually invited, especially and including a service person. Security is tight. It took 2 years of tax returns for me to lease a place! I had never had so much screening at a place in my life-short of a long-term mortgage. The people who live here are friendly. This surprised me having lived in wealthy neighborhoods where all my neighbors seemed so depressed and grumpy. The amenities are endless: the 37th floor amenity level is the best! The pool has a breathtaking, particularly at night, view of Las Vegas. We are right next to the Cosmopolitan hotel-the swankiest hotel in Vegas right now. The fitness room has both a sauna and steam room. The view is killer, like the pool area. The media room is OK-not as great as I hoped. Since I am doing a lot of business in Vegas, one of the features that is very useful to me is the Business Center: it includes a board room that is available most of the time to residents, a coffee room with good coffee always available and teleconferencing capabilities. I have found this as a huge benefit when seeing business clients. This place is an architectural marvel. The building are 5 degrees off vertical. Tourists are flashing pictures of this place nearly non-stop. It is iconic, even in Vegas. This place spoils you quickly. You wonder not what can I get in Vegas, but what can't I? They are heavy on service here and it permeates the feel of the building everyday. The greatest compliment I can give any building is the presence or absence of management. I don't see management. This is great! Management here lets you live here and isn't in your business-my hat is off to the Veer Tower management. I haven't lived anywhere else in Vegas, so as to the price, I can only compare it to a downtown LA office buidling that you could also live in--with that comparison in mind, Veer Towers is a steal! One of my good friends currently lives here, and the facility is definitely modern and high end. All of the people at the concierge are very friendly, and there is no need to worry about random people wandering through the towers because the security here is very high end and on top of their stuff. The valet garage is under the Veer Towers, and since Veer is literally on The Strip, I'm surprised the accessibility here is actually easy to get to (you would think a condo right on The Strip would be a hassle to get to, but due to the location it's actually in a perfect spot with minimal traffic if you take Trop to get to Veer). The pool at the top is relaxing and offers an outstanding overview of the city. It's small, but barely anyone is up there, and you really do feel like its exclusively just for you. The workout facility is pretty decent from what my friend tells me (all of the basic equipment needed), and you're basically in walking distance from any restaurant that's around the area of Veer Towers (Crystals is next door, and there's also a convenient Walgreens down the way as well). read more

Humm.. Well the view was pretty nice.. The kid that parked my car was a doll and kept it up front just like I asked him to. The door man was uh, pretentious and unimpressive. Not sure this would be my ideal living arrangement, food shopping would be a huge pain in the butt, if they close the strip (and they do) you are in it to win it, and STUCK until it reopens, no thanks. Earlier this morning around 4:30 AM, 42 keys/keychains were stolen from the valet key box. More worrisome than my car being gone is the fact that the security, the units, and these towers have been completely compromised. Of the 42 keys/chains stolen- I imagine at least a handful of unit keys and door/elevator fobs were taken along with them. I strongly recommend you do not leave your keys with valet, and if you do, at the bare minimum take your unit keys/fobs off the chain- as I am certain the thief and/or his accomplices will be back to steal more. It should be a criminal offense that the building will not allow the word of this to get out, so I will do it myself. Your lives could be at risk. read more

Veer towers is a much better place to live now that Bruce is no longer managing the property. Harassment of residents and their guests by his staff based on race and gender were a constant. It was virtually impossible for racial minorities to be at the property without security treating them like criminals. Bruce enjoyed lying and covering up the behaviour of his staff. Veer is at an amazing location attached to city center. Veer is a beautiful property with pools, gyms, theatre and conference rooms. There is also an array of beautiful artworks throughout the buildings. Crystals immediately next door has luxury shopping like ysl, gucci and some dining spots. Aria is next door with one of the best steak houses in Las Vegas, Jean Georges. Across the way is the Waldorf Astoria which has one of the best upscale bars Sky Bar, which has been a staple of city center since it's opening. One of the best things with living at veer is being able to quickly walk to knights games. Go knights! read more

I moved to veer tower a month ago. It has a nice gym, a swimming pool and two grills on the rooftop. The location is perfect, it only takes me 15 mins to walk to my office. Overall I like veer tower but there are a few things you need to be aware of if you are looking to get a place here: 1. There is loud music playing from the Aria and it would not stop until around 12 am. 2. There is a serious light pollution from the billboards (of Aria and Planet Hollywood). So serious that the lights make my condo looks like a disco the entire night. I give it two thumbs down! 3. Moving furniture or large items into the condo is a pain in the a**. You need to book the dock 2-3 days in advice and they only allow you to use it for 1-2 hours. So if you wanna move in, you need to move the furniture very quickly. 4. HOA is not friendly and the fee is $600+ per month. read more

Veer, which has two towers totaling 670 condominiums, is the only all-residential development at CityCenter. I'm a pre-construction owner at Veer West...33rd floor Bellagio Fountain view...so I've been through it all...the market sales price adjustment 30% reductions, the early "luxury" days (with few residents), the DELUGE of cheap below market renters (just to fill the building, and the valet was a mess during that period, and the cars were yukky too), the lawsuits from contractors about construction in a different CityCenter building that got us all named as co-defendents (lawsuit against HOA since dismissed, and that building, HARMON HOTEL, is almost fully demolished, improving our views now), and now a bit more normal era. It's still the most architecturally interesting set of buildings on The Strip, and still the most central location. Still the only rooftop pools. I am happy with my "investment", even if I've lost money. Regarding some other reviews (comments and corrections): - To set the record straight, you are never trapped there. There is a circuitous route through Aria and Monte Carlo out to Frank Sinatra Drive that is never closed. - The location is better than ANY other pied-a-terre could be...more central, better views. And, it's getting better with the tear-down of Harmon Hotel (of course they will probably build something else) and the new MGM arena going in behind New York-New York. - They are all odd sizes due to the building tilt at 5 degrees, and many are too small. Storage is silly small for full time living. But great for a weekend spot. - Also silly is a 5-burner stove when you never need to cook. - Also full size oven is pretty silly, yet no counter space for even a toaster oven. Also, German-made Bosch appliances are trendy, but terrible. They don't do well if left to sit alone for a long period of time...I don't care about a fancy stainless steel refrigerator if it means a slow icemaker (AWFUL...Europeans don't like ice), slow and tiny washer-dryer. But, this still beats a hotel. - They also take two little dogs (or one big dog). No hotel will do that, but it is pretty funny that the original dog relief area was all the way THROUGH Aria Casino. HAHAHA. The new one is convenient. - The whining noise mentioned previously turned out to be wind whistling through some brise-soleil panels installed to make Veer LEED certified. A few offending ones were removed and that problem went away. Also, they now adjust the noise levels at Cosmopolitan's MARQUEE nightclub...where the pool parties boomed all night. - I can agree that it is silly that the closest grocery store is a Whole Foods...nothing walking distance. There should be one, but the area right near by is too commercial to support. read more

For the most part still like living here. But more and more new renters or "friends" are not making this complex as enjoyable as before. Slamming doors, damaging the walls outside the units, loud music, loitering and smoking. Wish the HOA could do a better job of monitoring who is renting these spaces out before owners of the units get really upset. read more

I have visited here several times and the staff is great, the valet is great but the building itself is very gray and cold. While the views with all glass windows are amazing, it is not very weather friendly. Can you imagine the desert heat in the middle of summer with all glass windows? Well I can honestly say Veer was a great spot to live until recently. MGM which owned Veer until last month did a wonderful job and was great to work with. However they sold it to a new company called LVT out of New York and the new owners are horrible to work with. They are extremely money hungry and don't have any tenants or buyers best interest in mind. All they care about is making money. They try great selling tactics like the price has been lowered by $100,000 so its a great deal. Everyone knows that a unit is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it not what they think it should sell for. Not to mention they have jacked up rent on all units being leased to. After living in one of the towers for some time it has been a great place to live. Everyone was very nice and the employees seemed like they loved their job. Now with the new owners employees seem more pressured, to many new people in and out of the buildings and when we tried to reach reasonable deal with them for a unit they would not budge $1, move one date from what they wanted or even meet any where close to what we wished for. They think that their property is worth more then it is. Let me be clear the old owners were great to work with but the new ones who just bought it I would stay away from. They are not like any other business out their they just care about $$$$ and will do whatever they can to you to get them. They think Vegas is out of the recession well it's not., there are many other wonderful similar properties one can choose in Vegas. Also I bet with all the recent gang violence right on the strip nearly in front of their building this week in the news that can't help their cause of being such a great place to live. No one wants worry about gang violence right outside their door to their home which is what is now happening if you choose that end of the Vegas Strip. Literally 4 casinos away to the south a man was stabbed in a hotel elevator in front of his wife this last Saturday Night. And today a major shootout with cars blowing up one intersection to the north of the building. I'm sure you can check Vegas TV station News to get all the ins, outs and more details. My review I would find another building with better owners, sales team and management it will save you green in the long run. I enjoyed living at Veer for over two years .I loved living on the strip but at times it could be rather noisy and the strip closures are very annoying. The water in the west tower was constantly being turned off due to some issue and valet could be slow at times during the evening. Not having a parking space is the worst inconvenience ,it's not a luxury to only have valet. Concierge Jenny was always pleasant & Gavin and the entire day time valet crew always had my car up front . 24 hour security was great, I felt very safe. Overall Veer is a great place to live that provides a great value for what you get. In a way its a category of its own in Las Vegas as there is nothing else that really compares on the strip. This same building would cost you 3-4x in a city like LA or NY, but that is expected in the local housing market. As with any building, there are some good and bad aspects- Pros: -Centralized location on the strip, great for impressing out of town guests -Flawlessly run, tons of staff that are always helpful and keep the building clean and safe -Rooftop pool and gym are amazing, and typically not very crowded -Appliances are top of the line and quiet -Rooms have floor to ceiling windows with blackout shades, gives a nice open feel to the rooms -Walls are fairly thick to give a good buffer between rooms -Bi-weekly happy hours with residents with free drinks at places like Hyde and Lilly Cons: -It is a pain in the ass to have to get your car from valet every time you need it. Usually takes 15 minutes or so (sometimes longer on weekends) and makes a quick trip to the store a big ordeal. Makes you not want to leave you apartment. -Strip location is also a con, gets pretty old after a few months and there is constant nightly noise from Marquee. Most restaurant offerings within walking distance are extremely overpriced, per usual for the strip, I find myself driving off the strip for dinner almost every time I go out. -Its pretty ridiculous to be paying $1700 for a 1br in LV when you can get a nice house for that a few miles away. -Closest grocery store is Smiths on Trop which takes 15 minutes to get to. So 30 minutes roundtrip + 15-20 minutes to get your car on the weekend just to get there. -Not much sense of community as its a very transitory building (even moreso than LV in general) and a lot of units are occupied by wealthy people from LA that drive in on weekends. read more
