They do a great job of keeping up the grounds and the maintenance team is amazing (and kind). I'm not sure if this is true across the complex, but the people in our building are kind and thoughtful. The complex isn't huge which I think helps keep the community feeling a little more. There are many dogs here (we have an ESA dog - in our photos) and I'm thrilled that I rarely see dog poop around here. We also love the easy access to Steilacoom Park (and walk there daily). The buildings were built in the 70s (I think) and have some quirky things about them (e.g. 15 A circuits which blow a lot) but many of the units are updating to various degrees. But I take the grounds and neighbors over a modern unit. We do periodically have to do battle with ants :-) Yes... all of the photos are really of our dog, but they show the backyard really well (and some of the many visitors we get)

Its like a small zoo around here - LOL. Seriously - the grounds are well maintained. The condos are vintage and updated as needed, and they do a great job in keeping them in "good too great" condition. Management is jolly on the spot with getting things done. I would highly recommend this community.

Our apartment is a one bedroom and it is PERFECT for the both of us, I have had to down-size considerably, but it was worth the sacrifice! I'm not surround by "stuff"...we have learned to live with what is necessary in a practical size luxury apartment and apartment building. The developers, Edison47 knew how to design our apartment to hold just enough, give us plenty of room and a home to truly enjoy. What do we love about this place? Here are a few...we have a community of amazing people in our building, Proctor Station has fabulous amenities (we feel as if we live in hotel!), the property is GORGEOUS and the view from the rooftop is to die for!!!! We have the gift of living in the wonderful Proctor area with restaurants, cafes, shopping, 2 schools, a library, US Post Office, not one but 2 great grocery stores Safeway and The Metropolitan Market, a farmer's market, and so much more... all within walking distance. We feel that in many ways we are doing our small part in taking care of this earth by not using water to keep a lawn green, not having to get in our cars as much to run errands, and not having to purchase just things/items for our small home that may end up in a landfill in years to come. The most important part of living in this area is the sense of community encouraged by Proctor Station and the existing neighbors. Last but not least, the entire Edison47 Proctor Station staff, from maintenance to office personnel are here to make sure we enjoy our experience, we may never leave.

So bottom line up front: not cheap, but worth it…read more Negatives: The price. you will be paying more than similar square foot in the area. Silver lining: everyone else in the building is as well so the average tenant will be of higher education/success/respectfulness/etc than the other lower price points that might attract the rowdy's. But, obviously there are good and bad people in all income brackets. Ambulances. The Hospital is right up the road and this apartment is between it and 705 so you will hear Sirens a few times a night. Being next to the hospital obviously has its perks if you have any health issues. Positives: The Staff, led by Ashley, is professional, always present, proactive, and helpful. Jose, the maintenance guy, is clearly capable and also very friendly. This may be violation of hiring laws but it does also appear that they only hire visually stunning people. The location. walk out the front door to a Starbucks, New and noteworthy German restaurant, large neighborhood grocery store, pet store, jimmy johns, Wright Park, and Orange Fitness. Walk a block or 2 in either direction and you have local favorite bars like the Parkway and Copper Door. Commuting south is amazing with 705 3 blocks away and bypassing the worse congestion of I5. It takes me less time to get to work than most of the people who live closer. The View. Depending obviously on your apartment you can get a decent view of the water, the Mountain and Wright Park. Even if your apartment doesn't have the best view, the 7th floor community area can see it all. The community areas. Has an on site elevated dog park with community grilling area. It has a decent gym and downstairs social area with cooking, drinking, and lounging areas. The best is the 7th floor covered community area with an amazing open air view, 2 grills, large tv, heaters for in the winter, fireplace, and lots of seating. You can rent it out for events and, other than a deposit you get back, it's free. One negative is that there is no bathroom so your guests will need to go down to your apartment for that. But really, what are the chances someone will need to pee? Security. The area is pretty safe, but the underground parking and controlled entry systems all but ensure that no one is getting in that shouldn't. A nefarious person would have to get through 2 locked doors and past security cameras before they even got to your locked door. One negative to this is that it is difficult for guests to get in. There is no way to buzz them in and no extra keys to let the borrow so you would need to escort them up. Once in they are good and can get our unassisted. The newness. Rarely do you get to be the first person to live in an apartment and right now here you can. Everything is in brand new condition and of high quality.

I've lived in apartments for the last 6-8 years and this will be the first time that I renew my lease at the same complex. First- The Apartments; They are great. I love the layout. You still have that "apartment vibe" but we have mostly new appliances(Except the dishwasher) and beautiful granite looking counter tops. The bedrooms are spacious and have large windows which is a huge plus as it floods the apartment with natural light. We have had no major issues with anything in the apartment, we've been able to fix everything ourselves. Management: I love Deanna, she is a great apartment manager. My favorite thing about her is her honesty, and her commitment to her job and the residents. Any issue I've had shes handled ASAP. She is available most of the time to answer questions and she always greets you from the her office when you walk into the club house. Cornelia is the front desk receptionist and she is always nice and willing to help. I haven't had a lot of interaction with her, but I do believe if I needed something she would help. etc: Parking can be a little annoying if you have more than one car. We pay for a covered parking spot for one spot and have had no issues with that. However the guest spots can get somewhat full so we've had to park our second car a little farther away. But it's not really an issue. Never takes more than a minute or two to walk back to the apartment. Rent is paid online, and the deadlines are set. They stick to the rules and policies here and in order for them to do their job they enforce them. Again, not an issue. But if you're someone that pays rent late, or has a bunch of reasons why you can't do something this is not the place for you. Theres a pool and hot tub. I've never used either but plan to this summer. They keep them clean and it never gets too crazy when I've passed by. I love this place. I'm excited to live here again and I really appreciate what the lengths that management goes to in order to keep this place a clean and safe community. I cannot recommend Stonegate enough. I will be posting this review as written on other sites as well. A+++

Although the property is off of Bridgeport, I couldn't hear any of the traffic echo to the back. Neighbors were friendly. There were three managers while I was living there but Deanna was the best communicator out of all of them. It was also getting a special rate for being a MultiCare employee here. The exit process was easy and we actually got a deposit back which is rare. Pool was nice and clean, however I wish it was open during winter since it's heated. The sauna and jacuzzi was open however! Parking was ok since I was a two car household. However most of the people are. Working opposite of everyone's schedule, sometimes I couldn't find any coming home but that's just me. Overall would move back if I came back to WA.

HOAs when I first moved in included landscaping, water, sewer, garbage, cabana upkeep, etc etc... Top of the year the special assessment fees were dropped and the HOA dues were reassessed... My new fee was $254/mo for a 2 bdr. Sweet! Oh surprise... you have to pay your sewer bill now. $48/mo. -_- And they cut night time security and basic cable. Oh but wait... we have neighborhood watch now. I can wait for one of these old geezers to rescue me from a rapist or car bandit. Thank goodness our biggest threat are...hmm...raccoons? I'm not happy paying as much as I am for what I'm getting. And the rules are ABUNDANT! I feel like I might as well live with my parents! Oh but I get to control the remote, so I guess it's a little better... :) I love that it's VERY quiet, no drama, and for the most part, you have respectful neighbors. I also dislike the trees sapping on my car. :( Not a good place for kids. So if you're looking to rent, don't look at the bluffs if you have babies. The Esplanade is located in the heart of the Museum District of Tacoma. The Museum of Glass is just down the esplanade. The LeMay Car Museum, the Art Museum and the History Museum are a short walk from the Esplanade Condo. There is a fish market next door. There is a full service grocery store a few blocks away. There are two good quality restaurants, The Social and Choipan (at the Museum of Glass) nearby and a number of restaurants a short walk to downtown. The building has good quality amenities, a large community room with a kitchen and a well equipped work-out room. The construction of the building is concrete and steel and is therefore much quieter than most apartments and many condos. The windows are commercial grade further insulating the interiors from noise. Local and commuter public transportation to Seattle are within walking distance. This is a great place to live if you have a dog, a boat or just like hanging out and enjoying the surroundings!
