Small popcorn / small Pepsi = $17.84! YIKES!!

It's fairly new. At least this building is. Not sure when it opened, but they still need to get their duckies all lined up. I got here a little early - since it was my first time at this theater - so I had time to wait and observe. Purchase tickets? All electronic do it yourself kiosks. Inside: Nice big, open concessions area. A few electronic games on one side, otherwise just a big open space with nowhere to wait for friends. Suggestion: It would be nice to have a few tables & chairs in that open space. There was an info booth, but no one manning it. Countertop used by those 'waiting". The check in for tickets was weird. One elderly gentleman in a chair at a small table. They definitely are short staffed.

The last time I went to a movie was probably 10+ years ago! I don't really go see movies at all and, my gosh, my recent trip to see movies took me down memory lanes/childhood time remembering what I felt like as a kid going to see movies and buying things at concession stands. With all the time I never visited movies...it made me realize something about the movies that I saw this new time around. One, movie theatre had become less popular over time I supposed. There were no longer people at the ticket purchasing area and ticket purchase was all about self-service (via kiosks or mobile phone!). The movie that I saw "Cabrini" in the evening had less than 10 people seeing it. Things really did change...and it made me realize how much older I had gotten! Overall, it was ok. I enjoyed the movie..but the thing that bugged me the most was...the movie didn't start on time at all! It started probably 30 min after the stated time (and it was all ads/previews before the movie started!). I didn't realize how long those ads would be...but I honestly would appreciate if the ads were limited or the movie actually started on time (or maybe just 10 min late). It was a bit frustrating for me because my movie was around 2.5 hours long..but I ended up spending 3.5 hours at the theatre (30 min before the movie started, 30 min watching ads/preview..and finally 2.5 hrs actually watching the movie). Overall, good experience and I appreciated that even though the movie ended around half past nine at night, the parking lots were still lit and safe to walk to the cars at night.

My seat for my movie that hasn't started in a theater that was supposedly cleaned

I travel for work a lot and usually i like to treat myself to a movie in new cities especially if there's a 4dx option. I was excited to visit regal Winrock in abq on a cold night to watch avatar fire and ash in 4dx .... the moment i walked in the building for my 555 pm movie i was disgusted. Every where i turned was filthy. Bathroom disgusting dirty floors waste clogging multiple stalls and the walls so dusty people had literally wrote notes with their fingers in it the counters and floors at concessions were so sticky and cluttered with trash i didn't even bother to get popcorn and when i walked in to the theater more of the same trash on floors and in seats mystery sticky substances i literally put my coat in the seat as a barrier to sit on ..... movie hasn't even started and experience has been severely damaged if you go here bring your own Lysol wipes and sanitizer

I won't be returning to this location. The prices were outrageous even during the matinee hours and they don't even have the recliner chairs! I know that sounds ridiculous, but honestly, when nearly every other movie theater in town has the reclining chairs, I feel like it's just cheap for this location to not offer them. They don't show a lot of movies. When I went, there were 7 theatres playing Batman and only one of them was a regular cinema viewing, the rest was IMAX or 3D or whatever excuse they're using to charge outrageous prices for watching a movie nowadays. It was not enjoyable to pay so much and be so uncomfortable in my chair.

I like this movie theater because it's not as big as the other ones around Abq and it's right inside Winrock mall. Will be back.

Nice screen sizes, but no recliners, fairly messy, and only Pepsi - no Coke products.

AMC Classic 12 is located in South Valley, near the busy intersection of Rio Bravo and Coors…read more Depending on the time of day, the streets can get backed up and congested, usually the work scheduled times between 3pm and 6pm. So, if you're planning on seeing a movie around these time frames, then I'd say, come early. The parking lot is pretty large, so there shouldn't be an issue of finding a place. It's also surrounded by many department stores and restaurants, so finding something to eat nearby isn't an issue as well. The area is pretty safe, and the sheriff's office is one parking lot over, so I don't see any safety issues at all. Plus, they have their security guard outside, if needed. When you arrive at the movie theater, there are 2 order kiosks on opposite sides of the entrance if you want to quickly purchase your tickets or print your tickets, if you're in a hurry. I use their mobile app so it's quite nice and convenient. There is a guided, roped off area (stanchion) at the entrance, which makes getting in line more organized and the cashiers call who's next at the end of the line, if you're an AMC Stubs member, there is a separate line which makes getting to the front quicker and it's definitely worth the skipping ahead time. If you're in a super hurry and need to get to your theater room fast with some food, drinks or snacks, I'd recommend ordering your food/snacks on the app with your movie ticket, as they'll have it ready for you. Just have to read the fine print receipts on the already made food (squinting may be required). It beats standing in line, especially when a large family is in front of you and they aren't prepared on what they want and delays your turn by 5-15 mins. The food is good, the popcorn is fresh, and if you purchase the refillable bucket (30 bucks), you can refill your popcorn for 6 bucks each time, and a same-day free refill for AMC Stubs members (hold on to your receipt). Sodas and frozen Icees are also refillable, which is nice, and there are hundreds of flavor choices/combinations of flavored sodas. Vanilla Sugar-free Barq's Cream Soda is my favorite. Word of advice, the theater rooms marquees do not tell you what's showing in each room (aside from the IMAX room poster), so keep your ticket in hand so you know which room is yours. Seats are first come, first serve, so get there early if you want the perfect spot. The only room that has reserved seating is the IMAX room, and it's the best price in the area - compared to other theaters (normally 10 bucks cheaper) and the picture and sound quality is amazing. I've seen the latest Dune part 2 (7 times so far in this IMAX room). The staff is usually friendly. They are constantly cleaning and refilling their booths and stations. Sometimes, the soda fountain is down, but luckily, there are 6 stations, so finding a drink shouldn't be an issue, plus you can always ask at the counter if you need help. The movie trailers are about 15 to 20 mins long, so if you're running late, just keep that in mind. Unless this is my 7th time for the same movie, I take my time to get snacks and drinks. But if not, then I come early, so I am ready for the entrance line, the snack line, and the drink line. This should be a place to relax and immerse yourself into film and sound, and not a stressful environment, so keep it simple and enjoy cinema.
