Just the most awesome chick in film.

It was awesome great chairs, super comfy. Snacks were great and I love new and old movies so seeing the Wiz on big screen was bomb as hell for me since it's my all time favorite musical. I highly recommend this cinema and the people working are friendly and helpful. Prices are what they are if you like movies you pay. ‍ Get up and Go it's a great time. Clean also. Very clean.

This is the first recliner chair theater in the Albuquerque area. We love the reserved seating and the all-you-can-eat popcorn and soda options. When they first opened, everything was super clean and everyone was very friendly! Things have really gone downhill since then. First of all, they have double sold our seats more than once. It gets really awkward when you are trying to watch the previews and someone is trying to kick you out of your seats because they sold them again "by accident." It has also become really overrun too. There are kids and people running everywhere to get popcorn and drinks and it is pure mayhem. Nothing is clean and people are really rude behind the counters if you ask for something. They just want to get you in and out of the lines without having to deal with you. We go occasionally if they don't have a certain film at Flix Brewhouse, which is much classier, but mostly try to avoid it.

The lobby was spacious and clean. I really like the self serve popcorn and free refills for any size you purchase. The prices were really reasonable too. The employees are super friendly. The chairs were comfy and the sound was good during the movie. I'll be back!

Icon Cinema is a nice addition to our Community Spacious seats which are comfortable recliners They also have seats with sound vibrations A bit on the pricey end The staff up front is a bit short and robotic l even in a day like today (Thursday evening) when they were very slow and didn't seem quite busy.

We went to see the movie "Spy" . It was so easy to order the tickets online with NO added fee for assigned seating. The theater is clean. FREE refills on popcorn and sodas. We bought a Large Bucket of popcorn and a Large soda for $11. We will probably go with a smaller (individual) popcorn next time. Seats are very comfortable. The Vibrating seats are cool and the Recliners are very roomy and lots of leg room. The theater itself is not as large as traditional theaters but it makes up for comfort and assures you have a seat. NO rushing to get a good seat ... it's already yours. Handicap area is nice and has a good view. We'll be back.

I really enjoyed my experience at Icon this afternoon. My mom and I decided to skip the Super Bowl and enjoy an empty movie theatre. Great decision! First, tickets are reasonable. For around $10, we were able to see a movie and relax in reclining seats. The way the seats are placed, there is plenty of room for people to walk down the aisle, even if the chair is fully reclined. And if the chair is fully reclined, you can still see the screen. When you purchase your tickets, you reserve your seat. This makes the whole seat scouring process 10x easier. They also have unlimited soft drinks and popcorn when your purchase them. Free refills is amazing. Why would anyone order a large when you can refill a small?! The only suggestion I have for the future for icon, is, it would be great if you could order on fandango. We'll be back!!

If you have a ticket, go to your seat, they will wait on you, no standing in line for popcorn! The hubby and I are horror fans and we went to this locations first brewfest, which was for "The Exorcist" There was some crafted drinks and a special menu. Now I have a weird food allergy of bell peppers, we informed our server, and they went to the kitchen and checked for all items on the special menu, and I was offered substitutions which were great. Our servers were amazing, they are attentive, personable and give great service. Plus, if there is a theme night, look for themed clothing! The drinks were well blended, and the special brew for the brewfest was mighty tasty. The food the pretty good, the pizza was good, but the crust was a touch doughy in the center for a thin crust. But this is me, hubby 100% loved it. Are you a pretzel fan? Try these and drip both the queso and the mustard, they are great! Seats are reclining and comfortable, having a table to put popcorn on is great! Like I said, Flix is the spot for a classic movie or a new release! (PS- "The Exorcist" .... EPIC HORROR!!) Have a drink (responsibly! Please!) have a nosh, kick back and enjoy a night at the movies!

We got to the theater 30 minute early before the movie was supposed to start to order food, and the food took 40+ minutes which was frustrating; because we could barely see our food when eating. The seats were somewhat comfortable but towards the end they definitely started hurting both mine and my boyfriend is backs. To be fair the movie was 3 hours maybe i'm just getting old haha. Our waiter wasn't super friendly and just gave both of us weird vibes. We had asked about how to turn on the little lights on the tables connected to the seats, to one of the servers, and they shrugged their shoulders and walked away. As somebody who has been a server I just found that rude as hell. I had to ask for a refill 3 times before I actually got one. Our server came towards the end of the movie to give us the bill which was greatly appreciated, but gave my boyfriend a 100$ bill and me a 55$ bill when we're literally on the same bill... After getting that sorted out, I checked the bill and saw they charged us for two drinks. When we mentioned it at the end, a women said that we wouldn't be refunded immediately but to check on business days to make sure. It's just inconvenient I suppose. Maybe i'm being nit-picky. But personally id rather go to a restaurant, then icon because to me the experience is better. Also they require a 18% gratuity tip, and STILL have the audacity to ask for an additional tip LOL. Which is honestly crazy coming from someone who has served but oh well.

Major admission prior to the review, here: my wife teaches at this school. She's finishing her…read morefirst year as a Special Educator. So there's that. And obviously the rating must be balanced by this admission. But the place deserves a solid review, and I'm approaching this on two fronts: 1) the reputation of the school at large and 2) my perceptions of the learning environment and kids therein. Albuquerque has a storied, especially difficult history with public school education. As one of the poorest states in the Union (we're always battling Mississippi for that crown), our educational system tends to take the brunt of this unfortunate reality. I'll leave it at that. If you're new to the city, be especially wary of the system you plan to enroll your child in. We have major issues. Charter schools aren't the perfect solution, by any means, but they're a great start. Most Charters, if not all, choose attendees via a lottery system since they receive far more applicants than they have room to receive. This is a sad truth, and definitely not what our Founding Fathers envisioned regarding universal public education. Our kid won out on the lottery. She attends another stellar Charter. But it isn't fair. In my personal view, the worth of any populace is best measured by the education of their citizenry. Last I checked the great U.S. of A. was ranked 13th, behind Cuba, if you can believe it. Locals call this place PAPA, rightly so. It's an endearing institution that mentors students in the arts and sciences with a critical eye toward the creative spirit. I've walked the "halls" and witnessed the collective talents of these kids, they're rather extraordinary. Dancers, science geeks and guitarists, singers and mathematicians, all of these kids manifest a fabulous energy that keeps them connected with education, which should be the goal in the first place. Great, amazing kids. So there's my second point. The first point, regarding the reputation, plays out in state-wide rankings. PAPA typically scores at the very top of the Charter school rankings on a yearly basis, as measured by test scores, attendance, and post-graduate success. It's one of the best. If not The Best. So enroll your kid in the lottery, take a tour, and let one of the students tell you why PAPA rocks. Charter schools aren't the ultimate solution; great public schools are. But while we work this stupidity out, schools like this make the grade. (One star off for the facility itself. At this time, it's all portable classrooms; I know they're searching for a new home, but for the moment the place is quirky, just like the kids that attend it.)

The space was welcoming and I loved that Barbara the teacher for my glow in the dark painting session made me and everyone feel comfortable. Never even once did I ever feel like I was so bad at painting! The instructions were easy enough for me to roughly follow..and I loved that Barbara left a lot of room for us to do things on our own and not have to follow her guidances at all if we don't want. Heck, if any one of us decided we wanted to paint something else on our own..she said it would be ok, too! I loved that the 2.5-3 hours sessions went by fast! It was a friendly, easy going session and just a fun thing to do..something new to try if you never been to one for sure. Try attending an event at Painting with a Twist out if you never tried it!
