Icon has been my go to theater for a long time. The prices are pretty comparable to other theaters, but I love to go on Tuesdays for the discounted movie day. I love their all you can eat popcorn, bottomless sodas, and they absolutely have the best nachos of any theater around. read more

It was awesome great chairs, super comfy. Snacks were great and I love new and old movies so seeing the Wiz on big screen was bomb as hell for me since it's my all time favorite musical. This is the first recliner chair theater in the Albuquerque area. We love the reserved seating and the all-you-can-eat popcorn and soda options. When they first opened, everything was super clean and everyone was very friendly! Things have really gone downhill since then. First of all, they have double sold our seats more than once. It gets really awkward when you are trying to watch the previews and someone is trying to kick you out of your seats because they sold them again "by accident." It has also become really overrun too. There are kids and people running everywhere to get popcorn and drinks and it is pure mayhem. Nothing is clean and people are really rude behind the counters if you ask for something. They just want to get you in and out of the lines without having to deal with you. We go occasionally if they don't have a certain film at Flix Brewhouse, which is much classier, but mostly try to avoid it. read more

Went and watched Twisters and was very distracted the while movie by a RAT going up and down the left walkway in theater 9. I saw it at least 10 times and I had to move to the middle of the row because it was very distracting and also disgusting. I told the girl at the end of the movie and there was no apology or offer of a refund. I posted on their google reviews 2 times and both were deleted. What? Self serve popcorn and drinks and recliners for watching the movie? Hell yeah, count me in! We ordered our reserved seats on Fandango for Toy Story 4 and loaded the kids up for a matinee at this great little theater. Order your popcorn and drinks at the counter, then head on over to the self-serve area and prepare your treat. If you like butter, take your time and layer the popcorn and butter, it's so worth the effort. Got to my seats with my souvenir Lion King cup full of tasty beverage and laid that puppy back. You read that right, the seats in the place all recline like your dad's favorite chair(I felt like like I was sneaking, you guys, I really did). The theater is a little dim, so pay attention to your row and get there early as there wasn't much in the way of previews beforehand! We were a few minutes late and the show had already started. The seats run against one another when reclining or getting up, so be prepared for the giggles as vinyl runs against vinyl. All in all, we had a great visit and are looking forward to our next trip to ABQ so we can hit this cool little place again. read more

We went to see the movie "Spy" . It was so easy to order the tickets online with NO added fee for assigned seating. The theater is clean. FREE refills on popcorn and sodas. We bought a Large Bucket of popcorn and a Large soda for $11. We will probably go with a smaller (individual) popcorn next time. Seats are very comfortable. The Vibrating seats are cool and the Recliners are very roomy and lots of leg room. The theater itself is not as large as traditional theaters but it makes up for comfort and assures you have a seat. NO rushing to get a good seat ... it's already yours. Handicap area is nice and has a good view. We'll be back. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at Icon this afternoon. My mom and I decided to skip the Super Bowl and enjoy an empty movie theatre. Great decision! First, tickets are reasonable. For around $10, we were able to see a movie and relax in reclining seats. The way the seats are placed, there is plenty of room for people to walk down the aisle, even if the chair is fully reclined. And if the chair is fully reclined, you can still see the screen. When you purchase your tickets, you reserve your seat. This makes the whole seat scouring process 10x easier. They also have unlimited soft drinks and popcorn when your purchase them. Free refills is amazing. Why would anyone order a large when you can refill a small?! The only suggestion I have for the future for icon, is, it would be great if you could order on fandango. We'll be back!! read more

Iconic screen is too dim, I have been to 2 movies and both were dim and you could barely see the faces of the actors, I complained and they said they were working on fixing it, but they did nothing at all, was all talk. Dont waste your money on the iconic screen. read more

We had the whole movie to ourselves last night in our fancy reclining seats. The employees were efficient and attentive. The coolest thing about this place is the self served popcorn machines. What a novel idea and allows for the movie goers to hook up their popcorn as they see fit without giving the "and now" expression to say that's enough butter. The only judgment I'd get now is the people next to me who are probably doing the same damn thing My arteries may be upset with me. Being given that freedom can be dangerous but this is America right?! Super fun, I promise, you'll love it! read more

Left us outside when we arrived for a movie showing at 10:40 pm the workers looked at us locked the door in our faces and walked away, maybe they should not putting showings late if they aren't gonna let people actually inside to watch the movie and not refund tickets, never go to this theater if you are going to a late showing. Icon has always been we'll know for their good reasonable priced theater tickets and unlimited popcorn and soda refills. I've been to one of the Texas locations once before. The Albuquerque one on Tramway is no different as far as the design goes. The service on the mother hand is very poor. The concessions people obviously do not want to be there and they reflect it in their service. I was in line waiting for the customer in front of me to finish their order. Next thing I know a second employee goes to the register next to me. Just as I start moving towards them they wave over another customer who was behind me and my buddy. That just left me with a sour taste after that. I let it go though and after the customer in front of me finished up the male employee says "next, what do you want?" in a monotone. I proceeded in telling him the movie I wanted a ticket for and ordered the nachos. The guy gave me my food and ticket and that was it. I get like there was not much enthusiasm or motivation from them. He did the same to my buddy who was behind me which told me he didn't seem to want to be there or care about business from us. The theater has recliner seats which is one of the up sells that differentiates them from the other theaters in town. As of today there are only 3 theaters in town with recliner seats. The seats are leather and decent. Sound quality though was decent but not the best. If this is the nearest theater for you then it's a great place to go for it's convenient location. Other than that I would prefer to go to the other theaters in town. read more

I normally love this theater but not today. My wife and I went to the matinee to see Joker today. Thought it'd be fun until we realized that the theater hadn't been cleaned from the night before. This is based on $5 Tuesdays - Holy SMOKES! What a deal! Fantastic seating with either vibrating chairs or reclining chair (we chose reclining)! and unlimited popcorn and sodas. Of course the popcorn is not the highest of quality like some other theaters perhaps, but the access to all the buttery oil you want can totally take away from a mildly less buoyant kernel. We got a medium popcorn and a medium drink, less than $10, refilled them throughout the movie a couple times, and paid $10 for two tickets plus $2 booking fees online. I think in the future if it's not a super popular movie or time I should just pick seats in person rather than online to avoid the $1 per ticket fee, but either way it's just a buck. We got to highlight our seats head of time and then book them. Woot. I like the way the aisles are labeled perfectly and every seat is easy to find. Kudos, Icon. The attendants were very kind, the theater and bathrooms were clean, there was a fun basketball game in the arcade, and just an all around fun-filled time. It might be a little bit of a trek for you, but relaxing in those reclining seats TOTALLY made the movie for me. It's worth the trek! And the deals on Tuesday - how can you even beat that?!!? read more

We just saw Pixels here. We purchased our tickets online before leaving the house which included reserved seating. I love that. I don't want to have to arrive an hour early and stand around the theatre because I want a half way decent seat. I just swiped the credit card I used to pay for the tickets online and they printed out my tickets. No fuss no muss. Matinee price is over $10 for it's worth it for what you get. The electric reclining seats were AMAZING!! I have never had that experience at a theatre before. It was great. So comfortable. Big wide arm rests for plenty of room. The theatre was nice and cold. The drinks and popcorn are free refills. The popcorn was warm and delicious. It was an experience that I will happily repeat. read more

Walked in with my family and first thing we see is trash all over the ground. We went to go buy our tickets and they said they don't take cash you have to use a debit card. If you wanna use cash you have to get a gift card. Weird but ok... bought some popcorn and my kids ask how to use the machine and the young girls behind the counter were on their cell phones. Later found out that they were the managers. Went to use the restroom to take my kids and myself and it was a OMG mess. Made a remark to some young kids their and they stated that they don't get paid enough to clean up after people like that. Chairs were very loud when tried to recline. Sound of theater was very back and forth. Over all I won't be returning ever again read more

I like this theatre, I really do. They have good deals on popcorn and those $6 movie Tuesdays, can't beat that. I remember back when this used to be Four Hills Century Rio- we'd come here on the last day of school for a movie and stop at the old Dion's for some lunch. The seats are so much fun to play with before the show- up, down, up, down. It's also great that you can pick out your seats ahead of time, but knowing that you'll never know who you'll sit next to. Ample space between aisles and seats. The sound is always good, but there's always quite a bit of popcorn scattered around. I've seen Pets, Minions, Beauty and the Beast, and Jurassic World here. (Bonus: it's next to a dollar store. Hint: movie-theatre sized candy for sale). read more

You really get the value of your hard-earned dollars on this one, I dare say! It was our first time coming to this theater to see Deadpool. The reclining seats were really comfy. Self-serve popcorn (with movie theater butter as much as you want just press that button to drizzle that liquid golden sinful deliciousness) and sodas or slushies are all refillable no matter what size you buy. What more can you ask for? Now.. If they could only start serving alcohol.. lol. Will definitely come back. TIPS: - Buy your tickets online and reserve your seats. Any theater that has Dippin Dots deserves at least one star, but overall I have Icon Cinema four stars. They tout themselves as "green". The waterless urinals, which I have spared you the pictures, to no paper towels only air forced drying. I checked the toilets in case you had to go poo. Nope. There's still paper in there. It was a Monday, a day like any other day . . . And it was not busy. We came to see Martian. We were in the recliners. The three of us though it was very comfortable, with a great view of the screen. We ordered the Tub O' Popcorn and three drinks, which are bottomless. The popcorn dispensers remind me of 500 gallon aquariums. Self serve. Some have posted that the popcorn came out in tiny little broken pieces. We did not experience that. The woman at the counter was very helpful; checked us in with our online tickets and provided the snacks we ordered. So why not five stars? We were in Theater 3. It was not cleaned. It wasn't horrible, but you could see papers and wrappers on the floor and in the cup holders. It's the attention to detail that makes a business stand out. Overall, much better than Cinemark. read more

I really only want to go to this movie theater, although it's pretty far from my house. I love the fact that I can recline comfortably in my seat, and I never have a problem seeing over the head of the person in front of me. I like picking my seat in advance. It's spacious. People are pretty quiet, and good about the phones. It's not more expensive, even though it's a way better movie experience. Like being upgraded to first class. Free refills aren't really my thing, I don't like to get up when I'm in the theater. But I appreciate that I can have as much Icee as I want. read more

4 Stars all the way! This is a great experience for movie watching! My biggest tip is to book your tix in advance. The website makes it super easy to purchase and book the seats you want. If you arrive prior to showtime all the middle seats will be booked. I really do like that I can book my preferred seats ahead of time, and I don't have to arrive crazy early to get good ones. (In fact I've already booked for the Star Wars movie because I'm that kind of nerdy.) They do offer self-serve popcorn, soda, and cheesy sauce for nachos. My only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that every time I go, the popcorn just tastes a little stale. My first job EVER was in a movie theater and we had a strict time table for how fresh the popcorn had to be. I love movie popcorn. I go so far as to plan my whole day around when I can eat movie popcorn and stale popcorn is just a huge bummer at a movie. Boooooo (Obviously I'm still upset over the popcorn situation...) To make up for the poor popcorn there is something I LOVE about this theater and that's the truly ZERO-TOLERANCE for disruptive movie goers including: crying children, texting phone light, and phone noises. LOVE LOVE LOVE this. Thank you so much for making sure when I pay 50$ for 2 hours I get to enjoy the entire experience. My husband and I started going to Icon in summer 2015. We first saw "The Gallows" (which wasn't the BEST horror movie, but it gave me a decent jump scare) and were not expecting the awesomeness that followed. Walking in, we weren't really shocked to see the usual theater faire: Candy, nachos, pickles, soda, etc. We were, however, blown away immediately by their unlimited drink refills, bottomless popcorn, self-serving nacho cheese (I'm a cheese fan.. big time) and then.. the mother of all awesome things: their reclining chairs. I hadn't initially thought much of those chairs or the nachos or the sodas, but since we've been coming for a little over two years, I've grown quite fond of the place. I'm disabled and, typically, theaters make me freeze to the point of physical pain. I called ahead at one point to check and see what their policy was on people bringing their own throw blankets. I explained my condition to them and was blissfully surprised when the manager informed me that it wasn't a problem at all. Since then, I always bring my blanket (sometimes a pair of fuzzy socks) to watch the movie with. I enjoy taking in their films with the fantastical thought that I'm able to watch a movie, on a theater-sized screen, in a setting similar to my own living room (if I were extremely rich). The most recent time we went, we hit a snag. We were going to be late (we're usually early because snacks and stuff). I don't mean five minutes. I mean we were going to be about a half hour late. I called the manager, who was immensely polite and kind, and asked if we could change our ticket time to later in the evening. Understanding the local construction from ART, she quickly said that it would be fine and switched our tickets to an after-10 showing of "The Hitman's Bodyguard" (fantastic film, go see it). We were in the theater with maybe 6 other people and we had, as usual, a fantastic time. They always treat us like family, they're courteous and have a zero-noise policy during films (which we greatly appreciate). They also have specials like $6 Tuesdays (all day Tuesday excluding holidays) and Senior Mondays ($6 for seniors all day Monday, holidays included)! For the value you're getting, you can't pass this up! As if all of this weren't enough to keep us coming back, when we went to see Disney's Beauty and the Beast, we were promptly greeted by none other than Gaston (IN THE FLESH!) and Belle! Maybe next time I'll be able to convince my husband to get into a flexing competition with him. That would be amazing. read more

"I really like this theater, it definitely stands out from others." I used to come to this theater a lot, especially when it first opened. I recently watched Aladdin here and overall I had a good experience with the place. I tried out some of their arcade games, they were pretty expensive but the punchbag machine was cool. Customer service is always super nice and friendly. They are fast and I got to my movie at a good time. The place is not too big which I like, since their isn't gonna be a bombardment of people like Century Rio or other huge theaters. Their snacks are fine, popcorn is good, and I like how you can just get free popcorn refills yourself easily via the machine. The seating in the theater is comfortable and they can recline which is always good. The actual movie screen could be bigger and better quality, it's alright with me but some people would definitely want to get a better visual experience. They have larger rooms with better screens but the smaller rooms could be worked on. It mainly depends on the movie, and the length and popularity. The prices here are average, nothing insane. I will be back to enjoy many films to come at this theater. read more

Such an easy and quick process, you just give the card that you paid with to the cashier and your tickets come up. The seats are so big and comfortable. It is like watching a movie from the comfort of your living room. They have pretty strict rules about crying babies and electronic devices. If someone is causing a distraction they get kicked out! But the best part is that every Tuesday the movies are only $6 a piece. This is the only movie theater I go to anymore. read more
