The layout is a bit different... - sharp angle right in the door with a short uneven 'hall' - bench seating with no backs to wait - it felt like I had to go behind the counter to get to the chair. - kind of open & cramped at the same time - hair washing stations seemed to be in a closet & so close as to bump the other patron to get past... Speaking of hair washing, the chair wasn't that comfortable, but it could have been improved with a back cushion to put my neck/ head at the right angle. Having said all that, the person at the front was super friendly & Renee was there, happy. It seems like the kind of place with lots of loyalty built on relationships. I'm going back because of that. They have 'Readers Choice' awards that support that impression and they have a satisfaction guarantee posted in the entry.

She is a lovely young lady, but the service itself fell very short. I don't have a ton of money to spend right now, so when I saw the price of a "marvelous manicure" was $48, I was expecting absolute perfection. Instead what I got was having to ask for my nails to be cleaned up (removing the dirt from underneath), ragged cuticles, uneven polish, and a cut on my pinky finger from an emery board that was too sharp. Really overall just a poor job. I could have done a similar or better job on my own and not be out $50. I don't think I'll be returning, at least not for a manicure, any time soon.

The stylist was not competent enough to handle a blow dryer and round brush simultaneously, and I was out of the chair with a "that's it???" experience, as my hair was still damp, unfinished - I left incredibly disappointed. When I came home, I began to notice just how poor of a job she did... My layers were TOO SHORT at the back, CHOPPY and NOT BLENDED, and ONLY ON ONE SIDE! A nightmare - I called the OWNER the next day telling her about my experience - humiliating - and she insisted that she "needs to see the cut to determine if it's actually a bad haircut" Very unprofessional, inexperienced stylist, very poor management. I requested that I receive a refund (only $42 - you get what you pay for) and was told by the owner that she "doesn't know how to process it" and that SHE HERSELF needs to deem it a bad haircut - this salon does NOT care about the client's opinion. In 8 years of experience in the retail industry and a business degree, it's not beyond me to understand that a $42 dollar refund is a small price to pay to correct the situation and not lose potential clients because in this day and age EVERYONE scopes out reviews prior to trying a new salon or service. Please don't make the same mistake I did. Update - June 5, 2013 I would just like to confirm the below comment from the owner, stating that she offered me a refund after having seen the photograth - due to out of town work commitments I was unable to step into the salon in person to receive a refund, and did not feel the urgency since I had it fixed by another stylist at the time. Sincere apologies for not having updated my review after having spoken to Rebekah immediately. Once again, I very much appreciated the way she remedied the situation. Even more honestly, I think I may have been less inclined to receive my refund after being treated like a human being - with respect and empathy. Having said that, and with an understanding of the commitment and attachment an owner is bound to experience towards their business, I respectfully caution Sublime Management against attempting to discount sincere and legitimate critiques as dishonest and slanderous. Recently i had posted about a bad…read moreexperience i had getting my nails done, however since then i got a call from Rebekah stating she had read my review and wanted me to come back in so she could try to give me a better experience... she told be she would call me back in order to book an appointment. a couple hours later i got the call and was given two times that Rebekah was available, however neither time worked for me so i asked that i give them a call when i could figure something out. not even 5 min later i got another call saying that i could come in at the time that was good for me. I went in that same day and Rebekah greeted me and apoligized many times. She sat me down and did an AMAZING job on my nails.. She did what originally i had wanted done. Also at the end gave me some tips and tricks on how to care for them.. I am more then satisfied with Sublime and will be going back for all my salon needs.. Thank you Rebekah i am very appriciative and so very happy with the finished result.....
