Party Harty Entertainment - DJ. Doesn't he look excited to be throwing a party?

He came in looking like a slob in a faded black T-shirt and wasn't very friendly. When we approached him with a box full of light-up toys to hand out, he said, "Leave them there [indicating the stage/platform] and I'll take care of it." He never handed them out. He never did anything to engage the crowd, such as announcing some of the #1 hits from our high school years. We we called to give feedback to Party Harty they were rude and dismissive and told us we got what we paid for. We paid $1,300 and we certainly did not get our money's worth. We would have been better off bringing in a CD player or just streaming a 70s station ourselves. I will never recommend or use them again!

He sat all night, did nothing to add some character to an environment which was a sophisticated party of mature adults. When contacting the management post party I was treated with a series of profane and vulgar statements, attacking me personally. I mentioned that the DJ said he'd help us with the hand outs and the verbal tirade of profanities came my way. We have used this company 3 times for our grandchildren's' celebrations. No matter whether our criticisms were valid to Party Hardy, never did I expect them to be so crude and disrespectful. All that glitters is not gold and the ownership and management of this company is just plain dreadful.

I especially like the fact that while I've never been here on a weekend day, the place is never overly crowded or hectic. Other places close by can get pretty packed and chaotic. Having said that, there are some things that could use improvement. For one, get a vacuum cleaner that can make the carpets appear clean. There is always so much lint and debris on the carpet, it seems they don't attempt to clean them. I asked one of the nice girls who work there about it and she said they do try but apparently the fabric of the carpet wont let go of the fuzz. I'd get that one figured out quick if it was my place. Not the end of the world, to be sure, but an easy fix that should be addressed. On the plus side, there is so much to keep a toddler/youngster occupied. Two hours in here and you're sure to get a good nap from your little one. Plenty of bouncy houses for jumping and climbing will get them tired and exercised. At the end of the first hour when they've been on everything at least twice, they move the cart holding your belongings to another side and there are all new adventures waiting for your little one. More bouncing and a couple of arcade-style games and a nerf cannon section. Watch for specials- you can save a few bucks when they run a multi-trip offer. I recently saw a five-trip for $25. Thats an awesome deal in anyone's book. The website clearly and easily leads you to the date and the open-play times. Easy.... super easy.... Some of their competitors can take a lesson on "ease of use" web sites from them. Overall, we will make our way back often when I get a day off from work or when the weather isn't taylor-made for out of doors activities. I just hope they can get a vacuum for the floor. Best of luck to them and we will see them again soon.

I was invited to join a birthday party and it pretty much went down hill as soon as I entered the parking lot and didn't find any parking spots. I parked out on the street as a result. The slides and the bouncy castles were ok, the kids seemed to have fun with them but that seemed to be the only thing was matched expectations. There was just one mini tandem basketball hoop that was not inflated properly that had a super soft rim. Shots kept bouncing off the soft rim as a result. At all the other Pump It Ups I've been to there was an larger sized inflated version with larger sized basketballs. This one also had a piece in the back where you three tennis balls that was supposed to have a radar gun tracking the speed of the throws against a backdrop of a catcher and hitter. The radar piece didn't work and there was only one or two tennis balls to throw. In the second room, there was a soft air pitching machine hat you feed styrofoam balls into. Needless to say, there was only about 10 balls for 4 of these machines. That's just really sad. Watching the Pump It Up team feed the kids with pizza stacked up in one hand from the counter and dumping the pizza on plates at the table with the other hand was pretty gosh darned unimpressive. I'd never recommend coming back here and I'd probably recommend to the host not to as well.

More often to NY & LI families for Bar Mitzvah's, & Weddings. The first Touch of Class party I attended in 1999 was at a Sachs 5h Ave in Huntington, LI, where the founder Sherry Schweitzer was donating catering to the 1 in 9 Foundation. The drinks were plentiful and H'orderves were in abundance and original. A Touch of Class also hosted an event for our local banking association for an annual party, and it was the best we have had, with a gambling theme that brought out the fun in the entire crowd. Will look for photos of me with the host, will post more when I find them. In the know on the top city venues to Long Island and even a few upstate Mansions they can book a location, provide invitations, themes, decor, flowers, catering, music and photography for any event. They have 20 +years of experience regionally and book the best of the best when needed, and can book best within someone's budget as well. A Touch of Class is a preferred vendor with various Long Island venues. I recommend Sherry for her pleasant demeanor, calm under pressure, and experience overall. I have known her since 1992 when we worked in the same building in Woodbury where their first store was, they are now in Syosset since 2000. A Touch of Class can also be called for simple summer parties and things such as kids inflatable slides, carnival type food stands and birthday entertainment also.

The place definitely has a very "old money" sort of atmosphere about it, dark woods and tile, almost speakeasy like ambiance in some of the lounges. Some may find the attached gold course where you can see others hitting their tee time off putting, but I for one didn't mind it, I think it adds some charm and I'm not even a golfer. Food was delicious, and that's for more than just the cocktail hour which I find to be rare! But naturally the cocktail hour was still the highlight for me, I mean how do you beat a macaroni and cheese bar!? Bartenders were very friendly and definitely had a generous pouring hand (another rarity!). Facilities were clean and staff was attentive without being intrusive and made for the whole night to turn out great. Would be delighted to be invited back for other events here.

The catering was carried off flawlessly (not sure how much of that to credit to The Mansion but we'll do it anyway) and the valet parking worked really well. We attended an "Eat and Play with Elmo" event, and unfortunately the experience fell short, especially given the $40 price. Parking is very limited, and the event felt oversold and overcrowded. The heat was not working, and with temperatures below 30 degrees outside, it was barely warmer inside. Most conversations among parents were about how cold everyone was, and many adults and children kept their coats and hats on the entire time. If the heat wasn't working, the event really should have been rescheduled. There were also safety concerns. The gate separating the play area from the rest of the space was not functioning and remained open the entire time. While I was putting away our shoes and diaper bag, my daughter slipped into the play area, which was unsettling. The Elmo costume itself looked great and was very realistic, but the character interaction was a major disappointment. The person inside the costume seemed disengaged and unhappy to be there. Elmo mostly stood in one spot and did not interact warmly with the children. There were no hugs, no pats on the back, and very little acknowledgment of the kids beyond an occasional half-hearted wave. For an event centered around meeting Elmo, the lack of enthusiasm and interaction was especially disappointing. Other moms I spoke to noticed the same thing The space itself is lovely, but for a $40 "Eat and Play with Elmo" event, this experience fell short of expectations.
