Today we celebrated our daughter turning 7 and graduating Kindergarten with her grandparents, and of course we had to grab their amazing ice cream cake slices for her birthday dinner later tonight! Everything about this place is incredible. The restaurant is always spotless, decor is fun and invites imagination, the ice cream flavors are amazing, and every single person -- from the owners to the employees -- is so friendly, welcoming, and kind. High Voltage is more than just an ice cream shop to us; it's a place filled with happy memories for our family. We can't recommend it enough!

The bars, however are delicious. You can tell they are 100% homemade...even though they are ice cream (as opposed to sorbet or pure fruit bars) there is tons of fruit in it...at least in the mango and strawberry flavors (the ones I've tried). The elote is pretty good. It's clear they use canned corn instead of de-cobbing their own, but it's fine. Not the best elote I've had, but not bad. The five stars here are from how good the ice cream bars are! Definitely try them

We come up and the lady behind the counter was so sweet and nice. She let us try a couple of the flavors and was telling us how the ice cream was made and it was a family tradition which was pretty cool. They have other snacks like Cheetos and cheese and corn in a cup but we did not give those a try. As far as the ice cream, she had a lot of traditional Mexican flavors like, Rompope, queso, even some cool new flavors like ganzito and Galleta Maria. I opted for the coconuts and you do have the option to put in mixing, even though I didn't want to. The ice cream was so creamy and delicious! Not too overly sweet with a decadent flavor of coconut for the coconut flavor. And for the queso flavor, the grainy bits of queso were so good and creamy. Definitely give this spot a try if you're looking for good ice cream and a clean spot with plenty of seating.
