I never heard of a mangonada before, and I like trying new things. The thing was so good! Fresh mangoes and some kinda spicy sweet stuff added to it... it reminded me of the candy called "Pico" from back in the day, when I was a kid. I used-to love that stuff! The drink came with a big straw and a spoon. I didn't need the spoon until the end because they blended it up nicely. There were some ice chunks at the bottom when I was done, but it wasn't that many. I actually came back today to grab another one. I'm probably going to try a different flavor tomorrow. :) I do recommend trying one of these if you like slightly spicy (more like a little zing), sweet mangoes. I seriously don't need to eat anything else for the rest of the day. Very filling and super satisfying. Posted a pic on my IG and most of my friends didn't know what these things were, either. They have other foods here, but it's mostly deserts and smoothie-like concoctions. Prices are pretty good too... especially considering they are using fresh fruit. Two thumbs up! Go check it out.

She struck the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth!! Honestly, one of the best serving experiences I've had. The food was fire too. The Nancy cakes were our favorite, the brussels sprouts were wonderfully seasoned, and the sourdough bread with marmalade was subtle but so satisfying. The burger was flavorful and filling. Such an enjoyable dinner, made even better by Heather's outstanding service. The ambiance is dim, chill and more on the intimate side. Will def be back! :)

It's one of those restaurants where the menu changes seasonally, so instead of sticking to one cuisine, they focus on high-quality ingredients and creative flavor combinations. The restaurant is cozy but still somewhat spacious. Service was great and quick. Quite unique menu. We ordered the Nancy Cakes, rye sourdough with cultured butter, the cheeseburger, and the poha mahi mahi. The Nancy Cakes were my favorite. They came topped with cultured butter, smoked trout roe, and fresh chives. The combination was rich, buttery, and slightly briny, with the roe adding a nice pop of flavor. The rye sourdough was warm and paired perfectly with the tangy cultured butter. The cheeseburger definitely lived up to the hype. The poha mahi mahi was cooked well, but the sauce was a little too heavy for my personal taste. Overall, I can see why Nancy's Hustle has such a loyal following. Definitely worth checking out if it's been on your Houston food list.

It's walkable from the George R Brown Convention Center and the Marriott Marquis where we found ourselves for a staycation in Houston. I've been to Huynh's many times but it had been a while since I don't frequent downtown nor the medical center as much as I used to. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it's only a 5 minute walk from Marriott Marquis. We walked in late on a Saturday evening (the night of an Astros game down the street at Daikin Park) around 8 pm. We were promptly seated, and the service overall was very good. Everyone was friendly and attentive. My glass of water was always full. We ordered a standard large pho with 4 meats. At first I thought the broth looked a little light, but overall it was delicious. Grilled pork vermicelli with egg roll was amazing as expected. And lastly the pan fried noodle seafood plate was a hit. Everything we ordered and ate was great and we devoured it all. I will say that Huynh's is pricey, so don't think this is like cheap Asian takeout. It's quite nice in terms of ambiance despite the tight parking and surrounding businesses being a bit dingy. Enjoy!
