The same boy who took our order went immediately to the back to start cooking our food. During that time, several people walked into the restaurant and a couple of them walked out after waiting for several minutes without being served. Our food was finally brought out, but we had not gotten our drinks or silverware to eat our food with. We waited while he took another customer's order, and had to catch his attention as he went towards the back to make that order. This process rinsed and repeated, with the same boy taking someone's order, walking to the back to make that order, and not returning to the front until he had that order ready. This meant every time we needed any level of service, we had to wait for him to emerge and try catch his attention as he rushed to wait on other people. It wasn't a busy restaurant so I don't think they need a giant staff, but two people would have been immensely more efficient. I ordered a simple burger and fries. My fries were very good, with a delicious seasoning sprinkled on top. They were served without a sauce, and by the time I got his attention for ketchup they were basically gone, so I didn't even bother. My burger was ok. I try really hard to support local businesses, especially on Wilton Drive, and this tiny establishment is the perfect trap for someone like me! However, I don't know that I can wholeheartedly recommend Thirsty's if the owners are not willing to make an attempt to create a positive experience for their customers at the expense of one additional employee.

The handicap accessible gender neutral bathroom was clean with industrial terrazzo flooring which flowed into the rest of the café. The vintage photographs on the walls provided a comfort vibe. The café definitely does not hide the throwback ambiance by any means. The 60's jazzy music set a relaxed tone while devouring my morning treat. No modernization here, just a straightforward café with a chill aura.
