Finding her was a bit confusing--she's in the same shopping plaza as Tom Thumb. She's in the Village Salons (as mentioned by another Yelper in the tips), which is right next to the urgent care. If you're on the road and stopped in front of Starbucks, you can't see the salons--but turn into that entrance anyway. Bear right when you walk in and head towards the back, she's in the last spot on the right. Needless to say, but my hair looks great! Hoyt is talented and such a professional. We talked briefly and she got me right away. Hair crisis averted and anxiety relieved--I won't trust my hair to anyone else in Dallas!

The morning of my haircut, my boyfriend suggested cutting an entire foot off so I could donate to Locks of Love. I did it, and I LOVE it. I didn't even have any idea how I wanted the cut to look, I just gave Robert creative freedom since I had heard about how incredible his work was. Let me tell you, he is a master stylist. I did light/caramel brown balayage. The color looked great in natural light but in certain light looks a lot lighter (more like a dark blonde). I explained this to them and they fixed it for me by applying a darker shade. They were very very nice about this and booked me an appointment asap! Prices are reasonable. Parking is available in the front or at the Granada if there isn't an event. They will give you a "tour" of the salon and explain all this for you. I liked that Gwan walked me through every step and asked to use hair products before she use them. I'm honestly easy and doesnt care too much because I want to allow the hair stylist to be creative. Finding the location was hard because they dont have a sign outside big on top of the entrance. There's a sign on the window but you'll miss it driving by a busy street. The building is green, its right between the gym and Houndstooth. You can park in the street or behind the gym. I love that they bring their dogs to work. The dogs are so chilled and precious.

She is a very skilled colorist and does am amazing job with corrective coloring as well. I have been struggling to get back to my lovely blonde shade ever since dying it black a few years ago. It's been a mess. Before going in, I must have had 10 different shades in my hair, which also looked triple "ombre" - not a look I was going for. I knew it was going to be tough to get that even shade of ash blonde that I wanted but WOW she delivered! PLUS, she is the ONLY colorist I know that offers REPARATIVE LIGHTENING (BLEACHING). Yes, REPARATIVE. My hair felt so much healthier afterward, it was unreal. I don't know what this additive is called but it is it is worth it especially if you have damaged hair and want to get highlights and/or lighten your color. Also, for her expertise and skill level her prices are extremely reasonable, unlike those "master" or creative "director" stylists that you know you're paying a huge referral cost. Make sure to ask about the new additive for healthy coloring, although I'm sure she will recommend it anyway!
