My mother in law passed away in MInnesota but the funeral was in Indiana. Dealing with two funeral…read morehomes was at times trying, but not because of Kish. Sally at Kish was totally on top of all the transfer details and thanks to her we did not have to deal with anything. She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful and made it easy for us. Everyone at Kish starting with Kevin were very caring and compassionate. Thanks also to Cindy, Steve and once again to Sally. The funeral home is beautiful and everything was done to perfection. We as a family highly recommend Kish. Thanks once again for making a difficult time bearable. Dennis, Carol and family

I needed to have my parents ashes separated so me and my siblings could each have some. I called…read morethem on my way out of town and ask if they could separate them (and I asked them ship them to me). The very pleasant woman on the other side said "come on by." On the way to the airport, I stopped at the funeral home. She asked if they had done my parents' funerals. I was a bit embarrassed and said "no, but they lived around the corner." After explaining what I wanted, she quickly separated the ashes into three containers and brought them back to me. I asked her what was the charge. She said "No charge. Happy to do it." I was blown away. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting (a few $100 dollars maybe) but I wasn't expecting it for free. And that was it. I am so grateful to the kind people at Kish and if I sadly had another service to plan in the area, I would absolutely use them.

If I could give more stars, I totally would. Anthony Geisen made the whole process from start to…read morefinish so easy, stress free and very accommodating . We live in Illinois so we had to do everything over the phone. Anthony went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with everything and that we understood the whole process. I can't thank him and his staff enough for all their help. I HIGHLY recommend this funeral home. Trust me, you're in good hands. They are on point with every detail and plus communicated with me every day to make sure everything was taken care of before the set day. Let me just add, this was the first wake/funeral I have ever planned for a family member who lives in a different state than me and he made it a very pleasant experience. Thank you again.

Although we met with Lily Cremation and Burial, they are owned by Gleisen. I needed to publish my…read moremom's obituary and they never offered to do it until I logged on to Memoriam.com and they will publish for you, in every newspaper available. I was told by Gleison that this website was for funeral homes only. That is a lie. You can setup your own private account and pick and choose what newspaper you want/need. Further, on a Saturday, the funeral director told me that they were very expensive, reiterated they publish on their own website, and after enough pushing on my part, I wanted to know if she could find out about doing it, since she said it was a service that they offered. I couldn't believe it, because they never offered it. Over a week later, they never bothered even following up. When I tried to address it, I was ignored, them telling me, "I don't know who you spoke to." Very unprofessional and a waste of time. It's a good thing I took it upon myself to just do it on my own.
