Mary was our tour guide, and she was truly something special. I wish I remembered the captain's name because he was so kind and welcoming too, but Mary completely made the experience unforgettable. She went out of her way to connect with every single group and person on the boat, and especially the kids. You can tell she genuinely loves what she does, and it shows in every little interaction. My son is 3 and usually stays to himself, but Mary picked him up, let him ring the bell, and everyone cheered for him--it was such a special moment that I'll never forget. As a mom, that meant everything* to me. The whole experience was so fun and interactive--we were waving or dancing every time we passed another boat, laughing nonstop, and just genuinely enjoying every second. Five of them even swam with the boat when we were heading back!! We saw three jump out of the water and flip in the air! It was honestly like we were watching a movie instead of seeing it in real-life!! The sunset over the water was gorgeous as well!! I simply can't say enough about this cruise!! I very, very highly recommend!!! **Tips** ~ Reserve your spot online on their website to be sure the cruise/tour you are wanting to take doesn't fill up. ~ Bring some cash or your credit/debit card as there is an onboard snack bar. ~ There is a bathroom onboard, but it's similar to a porta-toilet, so you might want to make sure you use the restroom before boarding. ~ There is a Coast Guard-certified lady who shows everyone how to put on, fasten, tighten, and take off the life vests, as well as telling everyone where they are located onboard, if needed. Not every dolphin tour has life vests (we have taken a couple in the past that didn't), so this is important and just another positive about this company!

I am giving him a 5 star review because of the great deal he gave us, but as a disclaimer I will talk about our trip that did not include an experienced deck hand of which we knew would happen beforehand, which is not typical. we reserved a trip on Matt's smaller boat due to our smaller group, and when the boat broke as many do, he offered us a discounted trip on his larger boat providing we would not have a deck hand. The trip was fun and we got bites on nearly every cast. We were told not to bait our own hooks to avoid getting slime and bait debris on the rods, however, with only the help of Matt's brother we were waiting for bait, so we ended up baiting our own hooks and unhooking the fish (not a problem, just would have preferred to have permission to do so from the beginning). I have 2 main critiques, one is to rig all fishing rods with a weight at the end of the line and two hooks tied above it to start with. My father and I were initially given lines with the hook on top of the weight at the end of the line resulting in more of a challenge to hook, feel, and reel in the fish. My second critique is using a net to bring the bigger fish aboard. I lost the biggest fish of the day due to them pulling the fish out of the water with just the line causing the line to snap. Overall a very fun experience at a relatively reasonable price.
