Needed to add a kitchen and two full baths, as well as closets, move beam and add a laundry area. It came out fantastic. This group--from Tracey Perry's help with design (amazing!) to Mike Heinrich's detailed budget which they stuck to and Bill Schmidt's communication on every detail, it was actually a pleasant experience. I highly recommend this group. In between my two projects with Cape & Islands Kitchens I did another property with a well known, popular Falmouth builder (hint: begins with an "L"). It was a DISASTER. Do not be fooled by the lower initial numbers--you will pay in the end and the quality of work will suffer. I am so glad I was able to do this renovation with Cape & Islands Kitchens!

I was a bit shocked at first however they are doing a lot more work than I even imagined. Example; my home is antique and well over 100 years old. Reinforcing and leveling the floor took about 2 weeks but when the project was done the floor repair was totally necessary and added so much to the finished result. Also if you are hoping the project will be done in a few weeks, it might, however the bigger the project the more chance for delays. Pros: I was communicating with a team of extremely competent people. Each is a specialist in a narrow field. Greg has an incredible sense of design and really digs into the details. Sonja handles the crew that does the prep, construction and heavy lifting. Mylia coordinates all products to be ordered. Special shout out to Bill who handles anything going on with all the crews. He returns your text or call in a minute or less and remembers every detail of your project. No regrets for me.

We just had new quartz countertops installed by Cape Granite Connection, and we could not be more…read morepleased. This is why: 1. They had a beautiful piece of quartz, that we loved. 2. They were extremely timely, completing previous countertop removal, and measurements exactly as planned, AND VERY timely.... So our lives where disrupted very briefly. 3. Fabrication and installation was quick! 4. Here's the best part.... The counters are beautiful and fit to perfection. The way the seams were done is brilliant! In fact, you would have to study the countertop to even find the seams. In addition , they actually fabricated the back splashes to line up with the veins in the countertop. 5. Both men who removed, measured and installed were friendly, and clearly dedicated to fine craftsmanship. 6. The total cost was fair, and actually came in BELOW the original estimate. 7. I asked if they could give me a 2'x2' piece of quartz for a small rolling island I am building, and they did so free of charge. Basically, I think we found the perfect place to go for our countertops! Highly recommend!!! As a follow up, it even gets better. When our stove was delivered we discovered that it was not a standard size slide in, so the space had to be enlarged. We were a bit panicked, but Cape Granite Connection assured us all would be well. We spoke on Friday, and the very next day, two people arrived and solved our problem. They were very attentive and left our kitchen spotless. I can't say enough about their work and responsiveness! Highly recommend!!!! Russ

The Stove Place II Harwich Port, MA…read more My wife and I (Orleans, MA) had to replace our gas fireplace insert recently and The Stove Place 2 (in Harwich Port, MA) was highly recommended to us by several people. Although we initially thought our old gas fireplace simply needed servicing, it quickly became apparent that a total replacement was necessary. We visited The Stove Place 2's Harwich Port shop and spoke with Jeff, the owner. Jeff is a plain-spoken, straight shooter - the only kind I want to work with. He advised us on the models most likely to fit our current firebox, and what our installation options might be. Jeff really knows his business, so we were quickly able to choose the best solution for us. The people we worked with for the actual installation - Jeff, Bob, Dave, and Kent - were fantastic! I do not say this lightly, as I am a fairly tough critic. In short, they did what they said they would do when they said they would do it, and they did it well. Pricing was more than fair, and the customer attention was incredible. That's getting harder and harder to say that these days! Bottom line, if you live on Cape Cod and your fireplace (gas insert or otherwise) needs attention, you owe it to yourself to contact The Stove Place 2. I don't write many reviews, but I mean every word of this one - take that as my highest recommendation.
