Our showing was at 4:45pm we arrived about 15mins before just incase there was a long line at the concession. When we entered we went straight to the self serve kiosk, although someone was the front he was helping others. They do have a full bar. The line went fairly quick. Our order: 4 kids box: popcorn, drinks and a snack, small popcorn with 2 waters. It was the day before Toy Story 5 premiere and was a bit disappointed to not see a lot of the souvenirs displayed. Even the kids popcorn box wasn't Toy Story themed. Not sure if they sold out already or they were saving it for Friday. The popcorn was fresh and delicious, they also add butter to the top as requested. The seats here are reclined and so comfortable, the temp was just right, not hot or freezing cold. We went to the standard showing. The restrooms clean, I was so happy and surprised to see sanitary barrier cloths on the diaper changing tables. Overall, it was a great experience!

Great sets and choreography on par with a large city production, extremely talented performers. However, most recently we did not like "The Book of Will". I understand it was a script issue/we didn't like the story, but we left because of the sound. The actors were almost yelling/shouting their lines in a tiny theater that we were getting migraines. We were not the only people to leave at intermission. I must insist: this is the best small theatre in Fresno I have ever seen. We have season tix to Roger Rockas 2nd Space, the opera and many other special events but we will be adding Stageworks to our lineup this year.

Wow, well done! I have seen productions in San Francisco that weren't as good as this company's…read moreproductions. Tonight we enjoyed Into the Woods. I didn't know much about the play before tonight, so I arrived with no expectations. When we entered the theatre I immediately noticed that it was "in the round". I'm sure there is a technical phrase for this, but it was configured with the audience on three sides close enough to the actors to see them sweat. I have had good and bad experiences with this seating configuration. I think it depends a great deal on the material - and, of course, the cast. Both were exceptional! The closeness created an intimacy that immediately connects the audience with the cast - I'm sure that is intentional. But it pulls the observer right into the story, and again, it worked outstandingly well with this production. How wonderful to say there were no bad apples in the cast. Everyone played their roles well and no small amount of congratulations goes to the casting director. One of the realities of theatre in a town like Fresno is that a director has to work with what's available. Each of these actors seemed ideal for the characters they played. There were some incredible standouts though. The young man who played Jack, from Jack in the beanstalk fame, had such a strong voice and projected to the audience well. Given his small physical stature, I think one would be forgiven the assumption that he might not have an incredibly strong voice. But when he's singing, the voice might well come from a giant. His talent and training come through in equal measure. Rapunzel's prince was played by another young man of incredible talent. He catches your eye immediately with an exceptionally handsome face and and athletically fit body. But this is a young man who does not rely solely on his appearance. His acting commanded attention and his athleticism was a gift to the character he played. And that voice, his singing voice was the professional voice one is likely to hear on the radio or on a New York stage. And the Baker's wife was brought to life by an actress with a strong, beautiful voice. She infused the baker's wife with such vitality and humor, she was often the focus of attention whenever she stepped on stage. She made her character real. I mention only these three actors - not because the other actors and actresses weren't outstanding - it's because by the time I had been alerted that I had not finished my review, so much time had passed that these were the performances I remembered well enough to discuss. Above all, I want my reviews to be honest and I didn't think I could provide honest feedback on the others in sufficient detail to be readable. There wasn't a single member of the cast who didn't bring talent and presence to the production. We enjoyed the musical from beginning to end and look forward to the next offerings from this company. As an aside, many thanks to Yelp member, Umar R. If he hadn't commented on my review I'm not sure when I would have realized that it was incomplete.

Staff were pleasant and helpful. Bathrooms were multi-hole and easy to find and very clean and well stocked. Chairs were comfortable and with the stadium seating, every seat had a great view of the stage. We'd come again if there was a play we wanted to see.

I have weekly classes at a very reasonable cost.The sign-up is simple, the environment is inviting and positive. The staff is helpful and friendly. The teachers are great! I'm making great progress (ha!) but I am familiar with music theory. There are always a few parents waiting in the reception area for their kids to finish their lessons. My own instructor, Juliette, is bright, patient and such a great resource. I'm 75, and a retired RN. I wish I had started sooner!

Damn, I gotta say for me, 2025 was a great year for concerts…read more Twenty shows all told, at venues ranging geographically over six thousand miles from Southern and Northern California, to Las Vegas, to Tulsa, Oklahoma and Munich, Germany. It truly was a great year. If you would've asked me on June 1 what was my favorite of the 2025 shows I'd seen I would have said the two Dead & Company concerts I saw at the Las Vegas Sphere. Absolutely incredible shows. But then in October I travelled to Tulsa to see some shows at Cain's Ballroom. I visit Oklahoma every year and I always make it a point to see a show or two at Cain's. This year at Cain's I saw two artists I had never heard of before. The headliner for the two shows I saw was Josh Meloy. He was good, and had a fantastic band behind him. But it was the band opening the show for Josh on the first night that blew me away: Kenny Feidler and the Cowboy Killers. I don't remember the last time I saw a band that I immediately fell in love with so completely. I walked out of that show a changed person. Kenny is a prolific songwriter. He's a former rodeo star and many of his songs reflect that experience. Most commonly Kenny's music is classified as Alt-Country, but I don't actually know what that means. What I do know, though, is rock and roll. And Kenny's band, The Cowboy Killers are a kick ass rock and roll band. First thing I did after seeing him at Cain's was go online to check out Kenny's tour schedule. I was so happy to discover he would be playing some shows in California in December. I had to choose between Costa Mesa and Fresno. Costa Mesa would've been closer but after I checked out the Yelp page for Fulton 55, I instantly knew this would be the place to see a show. And I was right. The venue is a great place to see live music. Security at the door was cool. Inside, the sound was clear and loud, the crowd was chill, and it didn't take forever to get a drink at the bar. Brady Stovall opened the show and I enjoyed his set. I liked how his drummer just used the Cowboy Killer's drummer's kit, so it didn't take long between bands. Kenny Feidler and the boys played a 17 song, 90 minute set that included a blistering, nearly six minute version, of the song Cowboy Killers. Happily, a lot of the songs performed were from Kenny's most recent (2025) release, The Western Tragedy, including Idaho Hippies and The Bronc Fighter. After the show I got the chance to meet Kenny and get a photo. What a great guy! This wasn't the first time Kenny has played a show at 55 Fulton, and inshallah it won't be the last. Whenever that next show happens, for sure I'm gonna be there. Mikey C says: damn right!
