When we hired them, we had been speaking to the intake coordinator, Crystal Rodriguez, for several days before opting to go with Matthew Lewis. She was polite, attentive, and answered all our questions with prompt returned phone calls and emails. She even told us the number she gave us was her cell phone number and we could call her anytime, even after we had signed. This wasn't true, because shortly after signing, we were assigned to Viviana Medina, the case worker. And when she wasn't returning phone calls or emails, we called Crystal, as she was our only other point of contact, and left her a voicemail detailing our issues with Ms. Medina. Rather than return our call, she forwarded it back to Ms. Medina. IF, and that's a big IF, Ms. Medina returned our calls, she was always short with us and never fully answered our questions. The same is true of any emails we sent her. IF she replied, she only responded to part of the email and still didn't answer our questions. After having enough of that, we emailed Matthew Lewis directly (and I had to guess at his email address as it's not listed anywhere and luckily I was correct). We detailed the problem to him and we told him if this wasn't taken care of, we would have no choice but to fire his firm, so he called my husband the next day. We thought the problem had been resolved, but instead it persisted. We didn't know what was happening with the case and no one would answer our questions. So, we called MLF Legal, and they wouldn't even let us speak to the attorney. They sent us directly to Ms. Medina. Meanwhile, they were taking $250 per WEEK from my husband's already reduced workers comp income with absolutely zero results and little to no contact. So, we once again sent an email to both Viviana Medina AND Matthew Lewis and told them that we needed communication and action or we would fire them. We got no answer whatsoever. Ultimately, we fired them and hired a new lawyer, who has done more for us in the two weeks we have had him representing us, that MLF Legal did the ENTIRE several MONTHS of them representing us. And we have spoken directly with the attorney on many occasions, and we know what is going on and what next steps will be taken. If you don't want your case to just stall with little to no communication, while you're paying them a ton of your money, DO NOT HIRE MLF LEGAL!!! They are an absolute scam!!!
