Great program for kids and adults to learn music in a professional environment but friendly and fun…read moreat the same time. My son has been in the program for three years playing guitar. Corey, the owner is a fantastic teacher. The school also has several public events each year teaming the students up into bands that play on stage. Last night was Mo's Irish Pub and the students totally rocked for three hours!

My daughter has been a part of Wauwatosa School of Music for many years. It has been an…read moreexceptional experience. When she began she was a grade school student with no musical background she now is in college. Cory Tcheng made her feel like an accomplished musician when she was young. She could select the songs she wanted to play and he would teach her within her ability. As she became more skilled she would be introduced to more complicated techniques. Cory holds "Rock Concerts" rather than recitals. Even the young performers play their favorite genre of music. As they develop they continue to play the songs and style of music they love but their selections have more depth. There is a performance focus. The students are grouped together for their concerts. Each student being in the spotlight with other students providing backup music. It is very impressive to see. I highly encourage you to look their website and listen to clips of the performances. The school is for any age and ability, young to mature. Everyone will find it encouraging, challenging and rewarding. It started off with a guitar focus but the school now includes drums, piano, woodwinds and vocal. Our experience has been in guitar with the owner Cory TCheng. After almost a decade With Wauwatosa School of Music I have ONLY positive comments. The school has performed at many local events, Tosa Fest, Hart Park Fest, Tosa 4th of July parade.

She is an incredible teacher! I've purchased several guitars, and drums from this location and appreciate the expertise of the staff. They have several faces that have been constant through the years and I appreciate their kindness and patience when I have questions. I highly recommend them for your music needs.

I missed the return policy so I was fine paying for whatever was wrong with it. I drove half an hour to this location to get it checked out, and the guy was super condescending to me the whole time. I'm a young guy, an intermediate player, and I don't know much about the technical side of guitars, but damn, was he really making me feel stupid. Dude was rolling his eyes at me every time I said I didn't know something. I bought a kapo and a guitar strap, and the guy checking me out was on the phone with someone else the whole time. If I'm going to buy a guitar I'd honestly rather drive twice the distance to the Chicago location. The guys over there are dope and ACTUALLY helpful. Anyways, support local businesses.
