I really want to love this place. The salad/veggie/soup bar is great. The "meat on a stick"service…read morehas been awesome. Wait staff have been wonderful. Two issues i have are as follows: 1. Side dishes (mashed potatoes, fries, bananas, etc) come out so quickly, they become cold by the time you finish salad. Unless you want to eat everything at the same time, i advise telling staff to hold on serving side dishes until you finish your salad bar. I can hardly complain about such quick service! 2. The hostess/reception area is manned by employees who've mastered the art of the gen z stare. Look that up if you don't know what i mean. The vibe was bad enough i asked on my way out if i had done something to make her angry. Deep sigh. That said, the experience is so fun and worth trying!

The restaurant looks very upscale and the light fixtures and decor are gorgeous. Shortly after being seated our server Nathan stopped by to explain how things worked and if we wanted sparkling, still, or tap water. We did one sparking and one still, which was the Saratoga brand in glass bottles. We could've done tap, but we were already splurging, so why not get the sparkling and still waters. We then headed to the large buffet of hot and cold food options. I was super impressed with the different olive oils, salads, and hot choices. My favorites were the black beans, au gratin potatoes, the quinoa salad that had cranberries in it, and the big wheel of Parmesan cheese. When we got back to the table there were dishes of Brazilian cheese bread, mashed potatoes, French fries, and sweet fried plantains. We ate three dishes of the Brazilian cheese bread. It is just SO good. We love the texture of the bread. It's almost like mochi? I don't know how else to explain it. It's crispy, chewy, and a nice cheesy flavor. The fries were also a hit. They are battered and very crispy. The mashed potatoes were also very good. We all tried the plantains as well. They were very good. Quickly the meat started to arrive. There are so many options. Sometimes it can feel overwhelming by how quickly people come by back to back. Sometimes you don't see someone with meat for a little while. I loved the filet mignon. The spicy sirloin was also good and did have a nice spice to it. I also tried the lamb and picanha (cut of beef). I do not eat pork, so I didn't try any of those options or the sausage. Everyone else at the table raved about the sausage. We were all beyond stuffed, but wanted to try some of the desserts. Our family of four had the carrot cake and Brazilian cheesecake. Our two friends shared a chocolate cake. The desserts were phenomenal and so worth feeling miserably full. Very flavorful, moist, and rich. Our server Nathan was a gem. He was so kind and funny. He was always making sure our group was doing okay. There was also another gentleman that helped with getting our table more fries and getting more filet mignon. Service was amazing and so was the food. The atmosphere was beautiful. We will be back!

One minute you're "just taking a stroll," and the next you're deep in a full-on appreciation tour of art, nature, and your step count. The blend of sculptures and natural landscapes is beautifully done. It invites you to slow down, look closer, and occasionally wonder if something is art or just a very confident tree. The butterfly exhibit was a highlight. Peaceful, delicate, and just the right amount of magical without trying too hard. Definitely worth lingering a bit longer there. That said, it was very crowded on a Saturday midday, even with the chilly weather. Apparently, everyone had the same "let's be cultured and outdoorsy today" idea. We're already planning a return visit next time we're in town, likely on a weekday in early fall, when the pace feels a little softer and the experience can breathe a bit more. Highly worth it... just maybe not at peak "everyone had the same plan" hours.

Bought a ticket for their Christmas light show and it was totally worth it!…read more Parking is free. There were attendants in the lot, guiding us where to park. Upon entry, there's a snack bar. You can buy food and drinks and bring them along with you. I got the spiked hot cocoa. I was surprised they have a fireball shot ski!!!! It was so cold that night. I really enjoyed warming up along the walking path at all the fire pits. They also had some pop up tents with heaters and more snacks and drinks. The whole event was well put together. The path was wide enough for adults, kids, strollers and people to pass by or stop and take pics. The sculptures were so pretty! My favorite part was the spot lights because the snow made the lights seem like they were sparkling. The inside of the building had Christmas trees from many countries. I enjoyed reading the captions and learning about their traditions. The gardens were open as well- the desert plants are so cool. The tiny train and building exhibit was nice. They have a ton of local architectural buildings that are miniaturized with natural materials. There is a 15 min Christmas video you can watch; I watched it. It was a little boring. I don't recommend that video for kids. Bathrooms are clean. The gift shop was very nice. They sell ornaments, shirts, plants, etc. Overall, this was such a fun holiday thing to do. I took advantage of all of it. I was there for almost two hours. The pasty was huge and delicious. I took one to go! Worth every penny. The spiked hot cocoa I got was $18 and came in a souvenir cup. It's a really nice cup! It has the museum logo on it. The lid has a great closing mechanism. It has a little air hole though so it can leak. But it kept my drink hot for the whole mile. Bring mittens, wear boots, cover your head and ears, and have hand warmers in your pockets. It's cold out there! But it was so nice to see the lights and the music interacting and to walk the path and enjoy the sculptures lit up. Tickets sell out so buy in advance online.

Amazing Venue for Our Dream Wedding!…read more Venue3Two is an INCREDIBLE place to celebrate a wedding in West Michigan! My husband and I were looking for a beautiful venue with historic charm, & we were blessed to find this gem so close to home! Spending the morning at Venue3Two as we prepared for the ceremony was such a peaceful experience! As I got my hair & makeup done, as we got dressed, as we did our first look, as we took pictures with the bridal party, I was just amazed by the romantic elegance found in every corner & every room of the 1920s mansion! Then, after we returned from the ceremony at my church, one of my favorite moments of the day was bustling my dress in the bridal suite on the second floor & looking out the window to the backyard where I saw guests relaxing on the terrace & enjoying cornhole & giant jenga (outdoor games the venue provided). During the cocktail hour and reception, I loved being able to enjoy drinks in the great room as well as the charcuterie table in the dining room, being able to feel the sunshine through the large windows as we dined in the conservatory, & being able to find delicious desserts in the kitchen. Another one of my favorite parts of the venue was the fireplace in the great room where we displayed the family wedding photos on top of the mantle. Every time I walked past it, I found guests & other vendors taking a look at the photos which made me smile! We also had our engagement photos displayed on the giant TV in the conservatory which people loved to look at throughout the cocktail hour & reception! In the evening, the terrace was magical with its outdoor lights providing a perfect romantic setting for the rest of the night. I can't believe how smoothly everything ran throughout the day, and that is because of the incredible service provided by the Venue3Two team! They were very professional & attentive, and my venue coordinator, Stochia McDaniel, was so incredibly helpful as we discussed & planned the big day for several months! I heard numerous comments from guests at how beautiful the venue is, and I loved sharing their inspiring mission statement (if you haven't yet, please check it out: https://www.venue3two.com/investment). I can't sing enough praises of Venue3Two for making my dream wedding a reality!
