In today's video you will see the #7 sub. Now starting off the bun, I do not know if they bake the bread onsite, this was the softest tasting bread I have had in a while. Now as you see from the video, this was packed with meats and cheese, also the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions, mayo no dressing. You could just taste the freshness in the meats and cheese. The meat and cheese ratio to the bun is perfect/ I hate when you get a sub and there is more bread than meat and cheese. The #7 is my go-to when I am here at Don's. They also have for a side is their macaroni salad, this was nice and creamy, nice and cold. If you have never been here, you have to check it out even if it's just once, you won't be disappointed. I chatted with Skip, the owner, who mentioned they now accept EBT cards for items like bread, cereal, and milk. Today, I'm heading to the hot side of the grill for a meatball hoagie. Off camera, I asked if the meatballs were homemade, and he explained they come from another establishment--so yes, they're homemade, just not here. This was your classic meatball sub: toasted bun, melted mozzarella, and packed with flavorful, piping-hot meatballs. Even though it's a store, they have a spot where you can sit and enjoy your breakfast, lunch, or dinner if you'd rather eat in than take out.
