My…read morewife and I were looking to have some renovations done on a second home we just purchased in Burlington, and after a lengthy phone consult over a month ago, we made an appointment to meet with him for a walk-through. We drove up from MA for a 12:00 appointment which he had confirmed just a few weeks ago and told us he "put on his calendar". When it got to be 12:20 and we didn't see him, my wife called his cell. Imagine our bewilderment when he admitted that he was too busy to meet with us! He didn't even have the courtesy to let us know ahead of time so we could have made other plans. Very condescending and unprofessional.

Shawn is an outstanding contractor with incredible design savvy. From the start of our project (a…read morecomplete 2nd floor gut and renovation), Shawn listened first and then presented us with design options that clearly reflected that he had HEARD us. He was always mindful of our tight budget but never sacrificed his level of service. I know, for certain, we were not among his high-end clients, but we always felt like we were his first priority. His crew is outstanding ... they are true craftspeople.

I recently engaged Emil for some trash removal, moving, hauling, and carpentry services. While the…read moreinitial stages of the project went smoothly, my experience took a sharp turn for the worse towards the end. Emil performed admirably until he abruptly left the job halfway through, citing a family emergency. This left me stranded with unfinished work and forced me to spend an additional $200 on emergency services, calling a plumber to complete the job Emil left unfinished. Furthermore, despite my upfront communication about budget constraints, Emil insisted on providing additional services and assured me that payment could be deferred until a later date. However, he later harassed me and threatened legal action over a mere $200, which he previously agreed could be paid at a later time. Additionally, Emil's behavior exhibited concerning signs of potential drug abuse, which only added to the stress and uncertainty of dealing with him. In light of this, I want to make it clear to Emil that any attempt to harass me before Monday, when I can pay him the $200, will result in legal action. I have already alerted the police department, and further harassment will lead to consequences. It's unfortunate that our business relationship has come to this, but I will not tolerate any form of harassment or intimidation. While Emil's craftsmanship may be decent, his unprofessionalism, unreliable behavior, and questionable character make him an unreliable choice for any project. Save yourself the headache and potential property damage by seeking services elsewhere. There are plenty of other professionals who can deliver quality work without the added stress and uncertainty. He's also lying he was paid in full for all services besides the $200. He also tries to add credit card fees that's why the number isn't even.
